"Save for you to kill...or eat?" I say with a grin, but then I put my handpaws to my mouth in shock in realization of what I just said.
Eat...a human? I grab the other dead guard and the bleeding guard and drag them to the same dark corner as the other one sits.
"Learn more respect next time, laddie," I say to the middle guard with a snarl, remembering him to be the rudest of all three. I look at the other two with slight sadness, then I find myself looking upon the middle one with some sympathy again. I rip a piece of clothing off of one of the other guards and wrap it around the wound I made on the middle one's neck to stop the blood, quickly, then I dash back to the others and pet Shi'ita on the head.
"I didn't want to really hurt anyone either, Shi'ita, and at last resort we many have to hurt more, but I'm sorry about this all. I've seen the deaths of those dearest to me, so all other deaths pale in comparison, but it doesn't mean these lives are any less important. Once we get out of here, we can try to find peace and make things right, but that's what we need to do first: get out of here to safety." I smile at him tenderly, then smile at Desta with thankfulness. I then heave the bat boy onto my shoulders and begin to head toward the exit.
"Let's hurry before squirty guard over there can warn the others...and before others can come and see," I say, preparing to dash.

I go to the nearest guard with a weapon, grab his weapon, and do a quick search his person for anything potentially useful, mainly looking for keys or money. If there's nothing in his pockets or easily accessable without a through search, I disregard it. I turn to Tellat.
"Sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do right now, just try to push through it for now... I'll see if I can help you out more once we break free. Freedom awaits!" I say to her, trying to use a more playful voice to reduce the tension.

I grab the rapier off one of the guards, and run out of the room. "Come catch me, I might have a surprize for you!" I shout back to the group. Also, I check any open doors to see if I can find an armory.

"no....other guard...the one i tried to protect..." Shi'ita says, "he was the nicest." The one Shi'ita had tried to protect had been (as he was labeled) the left guard. "he was the only guard i liked."

I put the coins into the wrapping I have under my bustier, since I don't recall any pockets being on my outfit, tie the sheath of the rapier to my waist and head out, following Selphie and Laci. When I catch up to Laci, I start to talk to her.
"Hey, you don't suppose that her surprise, eh? Although, in all fairness, she should at least help ya' out, since your a bit worse for wear in the running department!" I say to her, as an idea struck me. I shout out to Selphie.
"Hey! Can Laci ride on your back? She played a little rough with the guards, and she took some metal to the foot. Care to give our cutest member a hand?" I say, my rapier drawn in case more guards show up. Come to think of it, this weapon was pretty suiting to me! All swashbuckers are great in romance! Now, if only I could get some red ribbons to decorate this outfit with... then I would look so adroable! As an afterthought,I hand the shrit I took to Tellat.
"Can you hold on to this? I've got my hands full with the swashbucker's favorite weapon, ready to kick some a** and sweep a lass or two off their feet!" I say playfully.

I feel amazed at my endurance and speed, and I let go of Desta's handpaw briefly to run over to Laci.
"Speaking of sweeping lasses off their feet..." I say with a grin, I pick up Laci and run over with her to Selphie, placing her arms around her neck and shoulders and saying, "Hold tight!", winking. I run back to Desta, even though she appears to be walking on her own anyway, and I grab her handpaw again to drag her along. It isn't much dragging considering she could outrun all of us any day, being the fastest creature on land in existence (unless dragons are faster?).
