The monotone voice would chime in then.
"Welcome to the battle room, since you are here you should be aware that this is the final trial for your acceptances into your chosen Team. So, think wisely on this course of action. Do you want to go straight to battles, or do you want to take the tutorials to learn how to battle better?"
It was a voice that spoke all round the boy, but didn't seem to have a source. Not only that, but with the other battles going on around, it would seem that that echoing voice didn't seem to effect them either. Like a dream or an illusion it spoke only to Vincent at the moment as it waited for his answer.

Vincent was shocked as he heard the strange voice.
"Well actually...I read the book on how to fight..I only sortof get it...Maybe a tutorial first? "
Vincent felt weird talking to nothing but the air around him.
He waited for the voice to respond to his answer and looked around himself.

Amazingly the Numel came out unscathed, the Snivy's attack missing the Pokemon by a wide margin. Feeling invigorated by that spectacular failure on the part of his opponent, the Numel charged forward recklessly. It was time for the tackling of a lifetime!

Arlie took a deep breath and stepped into the Battle Room once more. This was her last chance to earn herself a place in her class, the last chance for she and Kallie to make something of themselves. They had to win this time.

((Gotchya, I forgot sandile was resistant to dark type moves... This won't be over as quickly as I would have hoped but thank you for being patient with me. I'm admittedly not a know-it-all))
Palmer never considered that all the moves his growlithe had at it's disposal were bite and roar and neither could help his case. The growlithe had only one choice and that was to keep using bite despite its ineffectiveness.
Arthur used the flinching side effect to his advantage and proceeded to lash out towards the Sandile once more.
((My attack is still +1 throughout the remainder of the battle right? And I feel like sandile has such an upper hand now... one bad roll and i'm a goner!))

The Numel would pass by the Snivy, the sound of his steps followed by a rather loud smack. Made almost unnoticeable by the shadows, the Numel had managed to crash straight into a wall.
Long neck swaying back and forth, the Numel wobbled slightly, looking a tad dazed and confused.

The voice would tell him as it continued as monotonely as it began.
"You have your pokemon drink the potion to the left of you."
It told him as it would shimmer into view. The small vial of something that one couldn't quite decipher appears as another shimmer to his right would go unnoticed at that moment.
((Starting a battle, the first thing you must do is post up your pokemon's stats. This is your confirmation ....of battle, so if there are no stats posted for a wild pokemon you encounter it doesn't mean that you have to battle it. But, if the reverse is true, then you need to post up your pokemon's stats, because the pokemon you encounter is going to attack you.))

The voice would once more welcome her back ...as it seemed that this second time there would be no question as to which path she choose to follow. The Tutorials or the Battle, and there would be no potion to appear either as the voice simply declares.
"Call out your pokemon, and the battle shall commerce."
A shimmer to her right would have the new pokemon ready and waiting it's time to attack.

The attack seared with a power so far unseen in the battle. The growlithe's body tensed for just a moment as the energy from the crocs attack pulsated towards him. "Arthur, don't let that sandile connect! Dodge it!" Palmer desperately hoped that his supporting command would be enough. And before even a syllable had been spoken the growlithe had begun to shift its weight in a ditch attempt to avoid the incoming thunder fang. Growlithe Def: 7

Arlie plucked the Poke Ball from her belt and threw it. There was a red flash, and Kallie was there, looking healthy again but sporting a scar across her shoulders.
The cat Pokemon dipped her head to Arlie in acknowledgement and then turned to face her foe. Purrloin lvl:2/Naughty Hp: 14 Pp: 17 Att: 7 Def; 7 Spd: 8 Sp Att: 7 Sp Def: 6 moves: Scratch, Foul Play Exp:0/100

Numel HP: -9
The Snivy's attack would strike true, ramming into the dazed Numel's side and slamming into the nearby wall. The sickening crunch of bones followed the impact, blood splattering across the floor as the Numel coughed. A few seconds passed as the Pokemon's eyes clouded...and at last, he went limp. Molly had won...and she'd also killed her opponent.
The Numel would however, not disappear in a glowing light as he had appeared. Instead a small child, a girl clearly younger then Molly herself would step forward. Tears streaming down her face, the girl send nothing; she only picked up the corpse of her Numel, and walked away.
"Well well, seems you've won, and even managed to send your opponent to the grave! GWAHAHAHAHA!!!" The voice returned, laughing boisterously "You've passed. Proceed to registration and then the Pokelot!"

Molly stared wide-eyed at the events that just happened, but she slowly just closed her eyes, and set her hat on her head. "Blood would have been shed, eventually..." she thought, and this was true. Molly knew that she will probably spill more blood, as she continued being a student at Akumu Academy. Her Snivy seemed a bit, solemn, as the pokemon, also accepted the cold truth, he walked back to his trainer with some of the blood the Numel coughed up dripping down his head. The white haired girl scooped up Kage in her arms, took a handkerchief from her coat pocket, and wiped away the Numel's blood from his head, and, also, some blood from some scratches that still were bleeding. Kage curled up in Molly's arms, as she looked forward, and said to the voice, looking almost as nothing had happened "Thank you for your time, good sir." She turned and walked out the door, her eyes now clouded, and downcast....

The sound of skidding feet ...as those jaws would clamp on air. The electricity fizzled out the moment that he missed as his tail lashes the air in his own rage as he tries to turn himself around to face his opponent. He had failed. He had failed to grab hold and he knew what would happen next as his eyes narrowed and the Sandile turned back around to face him once more. A bit of dust still floating downwards from that skid as his teeth would mash together as he omits a low growl. His blood still flowing from those wounds didn't help to smother his rising temper as he hangs his claws into the mat.
He wanted to attack again ....as the voice would chime in as if to help him out.
"Counter-attack."
This was something new added to their battle, but something well known by some of the other trainers. It is when ....a pokemon attacks during their defensive turn, but, if their attack fails they take double the damage. Also, if used consectively or in a row ...the pokemon using it will take damage.
This is counter-attack, and the Sandile used it now ...as both him and the pokemon before him would be cleared to attack. Electricity once more crackling in his jaws ....as it jumps and radiates power in his maw.
He wouldn't miss this time as it converges on his fangs and he rushes forwards with Thunder fang once more.
