Also having no idea what had happened in here before he arrived, Aksaja could only shrug slightly at Than's musings, frowning slightly as they walked along the hallway. Did this thing never end? Geez. What was the point of this place, anyway?
But when the pup went on, the dragon boil nodded, remembering now how Than had talked on their squee-mails about not liking big crowds of people. The puppything that someone hit though . . . oh. The Whack-a-Wisp game. "I think those things they hit with hammers are minipets maybe," he murmured. "It probably doesn't hurt them, since they're so fluffy." He smiled then, and nodded to the next bit. "After we get through this place, I'll walk around with you for a while if you want to."
He wanted to check out some of the campaign booths anyway, as those looked entertaining. And the plushies were cute. . . . . . Wait, did he really just think that? Jack, he was getting soft or something.

Ulmuka burst out in his usual shrieking giggle when the ribbons flew. Something about ribbons was not nearly as awful as glitter. The strix boil rushed forward in front of their group and snatched up some ribbons.
"Did you all go to the Open House?" He took the ribbons and tied them on his unruly tufts of hair like pigtails. He then put some on his shoulders and with a giggle said "Magical Ghoul! Make a contract!!"
He posed like they had done at the school's previous event and he certainly looked silly! If anything he would make any of them on edge laugh. He was okay with that! And they were sloooowly but surely making their way down the corridor.. but was the hall getting tighter?

How quickly laughter can turn into horrific screams. Damien let out a painful shriek at the pile of ribbons that landed on him from Sebastian and when Faint decided to strip and shower him with streams of shiny stuff and ribbons. "You candlejackin set of jacking fools!" he snarled out as he sprung up from the floor in irritations.
He felt so unclean. SO UNCLEAN. Sure the pink was indeed settling when he first got in. but at least it wasn't threatening to bury him alive. The hound wouldn't lie that he was feeling a lot more panicked when he ran away from them, leaving a trail of ribbons and glitter in his wake for a few feet before he had to take off his shirt and unbuckled his jeans. he needed to shake all of the horrible things off his body badly, human form or not, he needed to shake.

Perhaps the yellow had gotten to him. Or maybe it was the heat that seemed to come from the colors of the room. Or maybe it was just that there were so many people. Artemis wasn’t sure of any of the factors that led up to the outcome.
But he knew the outcome.
He was lost, stranded, alone. Without another by his side, Art’s weakness started to show again. He jumped at the slightest whisper, whimpered at the first signs of glitter, and nearly puked at the sight of another kitten poster. This was terrible, all so very terrible. Why him? Why was it always him? This school seemed to have it out for him, and he wasn’t even a student yet! He sighed and slumped against a brightly painted wall, shoving his hair into a messy ponytail.
‘This is all too much.’ He thought, rubbing his temples. He was stranded now, forever alone. He felt like succumbing to the House and all its nasty tricks, almost trying to make himself meld with the wall that he was slumped against. That wouldn’t be such a bad unlife, would it? Being part of a haunted house… Wait, was the house actually swallowing him? CRAP. His neck lurched as he suddenly felt himself falling backwards, hands trying to stabilize his body by holding the ground. But there was no more ground. So he fell, and fell, and fell some more. Then, he fell horizontally. He made a few sharp turns, went up an incline, and then fell down at an angled decline, before being spat out of the house in front of a mirror. The Tattoo Demon looked back, seeing the a gap in the house close up. So that’s what it had been, a trap door…
Looking back in the mirror, Art screamed and jumped back. No. No no no no no no no. Absolutely no! “Arrrgh!” He fell to his knees in shock, not believing what he saw. It was him, but it wasn’t. The same Artemis, same facial structure, same height and weight, but everything else was wrong. His reflection had no piercings, no tattoos, and no style. He was wearing a plain suit and tie, his hair was cut, and his horn was nice and polished. He carried a very expensive looking briefcase, and wore a very fancy watch. What was this! It was so… bland. Disgustingly bland and unoriginal. It was terrifying…
“I will NOT become unoriginal and bland. I will NOT become society’s b***h. I’m gonna carve my own way, and give the dull cubicle life the finger. I fear losing my inspiration, my creativity. I’m nothing without imagination.”
Those seemed to be the magic words, and the mirror disappeared. With a smirk of triumph, and a little bit of confusion hinting on his brow, Art walked forward into the abysmal hallway, never stopping. Even if he had to do this alone…

"Oh my Jack."
With the hell hound's freak out, Faint was on his side, knees curled to his chest and arms clutching his ribcage. Oh Jack. Oh. That was just.. priceless. He gulped air as best he could, tears streaming from his eyes. He may be covered in glitter and pink ribbons and who knew what else, but to hear Demi shriek like that, it was almost all worth it. Until he looked up.
He peered at Demi dumbly for a second, then like lightning his was on his feet and fast approaching. "Whoa whoa whoa," he snarled, putting a hand flat on the boil's chest. His ears were pinned back, and the only remnants of his laughter were the clean, wet streaks down his cheeks, revealing freckles that had since been lost to glitter and dirt. "You're not going to strip. Calm down. I don't think we can even change in here." He pulled on the tiger inside experimentally, but he couldn't quite tell without potentially triggering a shift if it were actually possible. He knew Demi's shift would be different, but if he were tamped down, then most likely all of them would be.
"Calm down." He repeated, brushing the ribbons out of the boils hair with a displeased expression glued to his face.

"yeah, I think I hit my pink quota for today." he stuttered out in between a couple of eyetwitches that he didn't know he had. Well, that was indeed new.
It felt a lot better having most of the ribbons off of his body save for a few stuck to his limbs and the lot that was in his hair. oh.... he was still feeling unclean having the pink stuff on him still. "I don't care if I can't change, i'll shake as a human." he gritted out as he braced his arms on the floor and did his best attempt at shaking from left to right. It was certainly more difficult to do in such a lanky form, and less effective to boot as only a few more strips came loose from his hair with a upset disposition on the boil's face.
He was really trying to calm down just like Faint was suggesting, but he could still feel the pink ribbons on him, trying to embed themselves in his skin. He suppressed another shudder before taking more deep breaths. "I'll be fine, I think." he said without much emotion to the other boil.
For some reason, he was concerned that his biggest fear dealt with the color pink, and that was what he saw in the mirror.

Faint crossed his arms and frowned, watching Demi shake without much success. "Dogs." He huffed. Not that cats didn't do it. But he was at least aware of when it was useless. He rubbed his face, smearing things around so he didn't look so funny with tear-streaks down his face. When he looked back down, he just looked supremely tired. No displeasure, no laughter. Just exhaustion. This house was emotionally draining.
"Get up so we can keep going, pup." He held out his hand, trying to smile slightly. "Oh, and buckle up your pants for the love of.." He shook his head. Had it really been necessary? He doubted he'd every understand the canine mind. The Tiger gave an amused chuff in the back of his mind.

Nightmares? Mirrors? This haunted house? No thanks.
After a long while of standing around wondering if she should pass by the glass...Natalia turned on her heels and moved through the corridors until a particularly sharp corner brought the monster to the front door.
And out she went.

The hound gratefully took the offered hand and hoisted himself back to walking around on two feet and not trying to use the awkward hands. He figured that hands were not meant to be used as feet, after all they weren't called feet to begin with, also Thumbs. the glorious appendage known as thumbs, how he'd never take them for granted.
Damien chuckled sheepishly as he redid the button and the belt hastily. "For some reason I thought there was glitter.............. down there." he said quietly to the tiger. Just the idea of such things touching the most private of places just made him feel.... dirty. he used his discarded shirt as a towel yet again to wipe away as much of the glitter and ribbons as possible before brushing some off the tigers face too.
More like shoving the shirt into the boils nose. Yeah, he was back to normal.

This place looked pretty dumb.. but it also looked like a safe hiding place.
Though, there seemed to be quite a few people in there. And it was dark. And people would step on him.
No, the fruity house was not for Robert.
He kept walking.

In his continual solo march, Artemis had lost a bit of his confidence surge he had gotten from facing his fear in the mirror. The glitter was starting to spook him again, and he swore he could hear the laughter of small human children. Was that a human baby giggling? Tensed and on edge, he continually flexed his hands, curling them into fists and uncurling, ready for something to pop out at him.
Nothing did.
So he continued his march, ears perked for the first sign of something going wrong. Did that giant teddy from before have a twin? More vines? Another statue obsessed with kittens? What if there was a sudden downpour of glitter? Or worse... a perfume shower? Ick! That would be the worst ever. EVER. He wished so badly that he could throw ink at the time, but with the visitor's pass blocking his natural ability, he had to rely on his nails, and maybe even his horn.
"Mental note, get some hand to hand combat training." He grimaces, baling up his fists again. He heard something squeak. It wasn't a plushie, was it? Looking down, he saw an adorable stuffed lamb crushed under his foot. Stepping off it, the toy returned to it's original form, staring up at him with incredibly adorable eyes. They almost put him in a trance, those hypnotically massive, blue eyes. 'Pick me up, take me with you, love me!' They seemed to cry, and Art almost thought he saw a tear roll from the toy's eyes.
No one would notice, right?
Checking around him, making sure he was completely alone, he picked up the little stuffed lamb and hid it inside his vest, the soft wool feeling marvelous on the demon's bare skin.
No one had to know.

((Stairway - ty, Felyn! owob doing the past event rp anywho then!)) Again with the fears.. the voice was quite persistent. As she moved up the stairway with Tess following closely to her, the tatzel came to a landing between steps. She peered into a brightly lit and sparkling room rather small in size. The door looked to have been newly opened... Levi bent down to inspect the latch... It had been forced opened from the inside. Happy giggles were heard from inside, but nothing nobody was inside... just a mirror. Levi made sure Tess was still joining her as she nodded her head to the half ghoul to sign that they were going in to check it out. Ya hear them gigglin' too?... c'mon. Let's see 'bout this.Taking each step very carefully, Levi peered about suspiciously with narrowed eyes until she came before the full sized mirror. Even at Levi's height of 5'8" it appeared rather large, portraying nearly one wall to the other behind her. Fluttering by her side was Tess who didn't see very comfortable being in this setting, but Levi would be ready if anything did try to attack them. There was no need to panic... right? She starred into the mirror then... and a blurred image was starting to develop. Eyes widening, Levi recognized the scene. It was her farm back home; the crops were flourishing with ready to pick candy corn. Smiling at first, Levi began to think this mirror was some sort of wish granting mirror or something. Everything at home was doing well! ... until the image began to change. The crops began to wither with giant flames towering above the barn. The crops were burning and she wasn't home to help smother it out. She wasn't there; he town was disappearing while she was gone. Ya SEE THIS, TESS?! I....I can't... she couldn't process the words. She really thought this could be the reality of what was happening at the moment in her town. Where was her family... her kin... Placing a hand to her mouth, she just- starred. Starred and blanked out with absolute frustration and an aching stomach. If she didn't catch wind that this wasn't real soon- she was racing out of this place and back home to see the damage for herself.

((Stairway))
Tess did not mean to be Levi's second shadow, she really didn't. But from all her past experiences, Maritess had learned her attempts at being something or someone she wasn't, bad things happened. Like Detention and cruel-aid hallucinations and... perhaps the winged ghoul should best leave such thoughts unexplored for later. The bottom line was, Tess did better when she was with someone than needing to stand on her own two feet. So to speak. And right now, she was too absorbed in making sure nothing was going to leap out at them from behind and turn them into horrifically glittering ghouls.
She had tried to remind herself that this was being done in all good fun as this was a festival. But then they came upon the mirror. "We should give them something to scream about, not giggle," Tess muttered as she peered over the tatzel's shoulder to look at their reflection.
She did not see what Levi was seeing. There were no burning crops nor a barn falling to ruination. In fact, she saw nothing at all. The mirror was supposed to show one's true fears, wasn't it? Did this mean Tess feared nothing? How could that be? The edge of her vision wavered when she heard a wispy voice breathe into the shell of her ear. It was laughter. Snide and mocking. Like it had been during the Island. Oh Jack the Island!
Her reflection wasn't one of darkness. It was fog. Madness inducing fog. And it was back. And she didn't know where to go, what do to, what was real and what was just in her head? Her parents appeared standing behind her, they were the picture perfect image of normal, proper manananggals. But their usually benign smiles were replaced by disgust and shame, as if they wondered how they could have given unlife to such a pathetic excuse of an undead. They spoke no words. They didn't have to. The sharp glare of their eyes, the tight line of their mouths, the rigid stance of their shoulders said it all.
But then they smiled. And she could see the pride, the joy, the acceptance radiating from them. The winged vampire, confused, quickly darted her crimson eyes back to the mirror and saw herself. Only, she had a broken smile and dejected eyes and exuded feigned happiness.
Yes, mom. Yes, dad. Whatever you say.
Tess couldn't say anything. She wasn't even aware that her wings had slowed down their beating, nor that Levi was still there. Not even when she sunk to the floor and slumped heavily against the other ghoul's leg to stare blankly ahead.

Ngiht had been attracted at first by the sweet smell of a flowery pink smoke, and then second by some kind of lights and....was that glitter on the ground? Oh sparklies! He had been so entranced by the Haunted house's room that he didn't realize that he had entered and now was unable to get out.
"Well then." The cat paced the foyer of the front room and debated on just how to proceed through, he obviously needed to get through the maze like haunted house to reach the end. two path's laid clear to him and he stood awhile staring at them. His nose twitched with a familiar scent and he followed his senses, down the Staircase path Night went.
"Alright, going down a staircase." Night said aloud....
"Still going down a staircase..." He said five minutes later....
"HOW MANY STAIRS ARE IN HERE?" He rested his hand on the wall as his legs felt like Jelly, fifteen straight minutes of walking was not helping the situation get any better and he jack damn sure wasn't going back UP the stairs. (Entering the Staircase?)

[Random Event: Everyone]It was room time again.
Only, as the students on both paths crossed the threshold into another room, a sickly, thick purple gas began to fill it from all sides. In seconds the room was so thick that it was impossible for anyone to see more than a few inches in front of their face. It wasn't just smoke though, no, it was a strange purple fog that swirled and sparked with light.
Then there was a beating of wings that made the fog swirl more violently. Out of the corner of everyone's eyes, there seemed to be small figures flying through the fog. Whenever someone tried to look directly at them though, they weren't there. There were little tugs on the corners of everyone's clothing, little giggles that tickled ears. Every now and then there was a flash of a tiny, doll-sized hand or a glittering wing.
There was definitely something in the fog with the students.
"Don't let them catch you, or you'll never get out. Get to the exists fast, students." The crackling voice only gave that much advice before it was silent again, save for giggling.--- Your student is trapped! Well, actually, they just can't see to find the exit. Roll a SINGLE One Hundred Sided Die-If you roll 80 - 100, your student successfully finds the door on the other side and they may continue down their paths. -If you roll 1 - 79, your student is grabbed by a fairy! The fairy will sing and dance and generally be really distracting for your student. You may try to leave three times before you get stuck for the remainder of the random event. If you fail three times (and attract three fairies to your student) they will encircle them and catch them in a fairy circle. If this happens, your student is stuck dancing and singing with the fairies until the fog dissipates, and will be stuck in a very euphoric state of mind. The first 5 people in each path (5 staircase students, 5 hall students) will win TWO floresce: one to keep for themselves and one to give away to anyone that doesn't have one yet (even if they have not participated in this event). This will end tomorrow afternoon! Have fun and sorry for the wait. ADDITIONALLY: If you have won a game in this event and have not received your prize (it would be named staircase/hallway/haunted house prize and sent from my main, Felyn) then please contact me.
