Nick caught herself before uttering another ******** you to the arrogant b*****d kid. She wasn't surprised, if he was going to be a sarcastic smartass, of course he was gonna end up not making any friends.
"Can we just get the hell out of here?" You ******** jerk... She resisted adding the last bit.

He smiled serenely at her.
"For the record, you're in Moon Division; that's under Edith. I'd be careful how you speak to your superiors - it might get you in a little trouble."
Gale shrugged, flipping a page down on the clipboard. "Just a fair warning. You don't want to get on....anyone's bad side."
Clearly he was referring to a certain somebody, but that somebody's name was left unsaid. Gale gave Nick another calm smile.
"Go find the Cove," he said. "It's pretty easy to find. You'll get your weapon there."
He tossed the clipboard onto a nearby table, sat back in his chair, and kicked his feet up again, grabbing his book.
"May you find many on this island just as cheery as you are," he said blithely. "I do hope we meet again soon Nick. If you have any questions, feel free to come and find me, or just check the cell phone you'll be given; they're programmed with the names of all the hunters and trainees like yourself."
A pause, and an innocent smile.
Then he went back to reading.

Such a smug b*****d. Nick flipped her middle finger at the boy and headed off to find that cove he spoke of. Like hell she would ever call him.

[Awakening]
Slowly the world started to come into focus after the teen opened them. Brightness turned to shapes and then to color blurs as his eyes adjusted. He blinked a few times to help speed the process then looked around better once his vision was clearer. The room didn't quite fit in what Aiden last remembered, that being the trials, but he shrugged it off for now until he could ask someone what was going on. He reached up to push a few stray bangs away from his eyes only to finally register he was in one of the many pods he could see in the room.
The young man shook his head to help try and clear it then lightly pushed on the pod door, finding it easily opening like if it had already been slightly open already, and climbed out. He stood there just outside the pod and looked around again, this time with more curiosity.

Ofelia was trying not to sleep at her post but pod duty was the absolute worst thing she could have drawn if her intent was to stay awake. With her chin propped up against her palm, supported by an elbow on her knee, which was rested on her leg that was crossed while sitting in her chair. . . .she was doomed. Her head nodded a bit and her elbow slid from her knee which in turn prompted her to bang her head against the counter top she was in front of.
Hissing with unhappiness she happened to look up just in time to see that someone was moving on one of the monitors. A pod had opened, a new hunter trainee was waking up, and the redhead got up and wobbled in an attempt to get over to where the pod was. Her head spinning from the horrible impact but she still got over to where the newcomer was.
"Nnnn....rhhh...gimmie...sec." She was feeling nauseated now and she held her hand up to the new person, not even really looking at them. Her shield had blocked the injury but she'd certainly felt the pain.

Aiden blinked at the wobbly young woman that was heading over to him. "Are you alright?" He asked and ran a hand through his hair. "Were you in one of the pods as well?" That would explain her wobbliness as he was pretty sure he would be wobbly still if he actually started to walk.

Ofelia didn't respond, instead she just decided to empty her stomach contents onto the unfortunate pod that happened to be acting as a support beam. It was mostly bile, she hadn't had much of an appetite for the day, and after a few more heaves she got it out and the pain in her head seemed to lesson. Massive head wounds always made her feel sick to her stomach and the easiest way to deal was obviously vomit.
The poor guy though that she turned and looked at, her hand wiping her mouth. Ofelia looked completely horrible with her hair in shambles and her skin rather ashen and pale. She was missing her eye patch, having left it somewhere, and so an empty socket stared back at him as Ofelia lurched forward. The jacket she should have been wearing about her hips to show who she was was left back on the chair she vacated. "Uh....gimmie 'noter sec. Gotta catch mah breath."
Also maybe try and clean her mouth up a bit more.

If he leaned back on his heels a bit when the young woman started to throw up then no one could blaim him. He avoided looking at her while the sounds kept coming and only glanced back when she spoke up. "Take your time." He said then went back to looking at the ceiling. Her appearance didn't quite register yet since his head was still a bit fuzzed and he had only looked at her briefly. If she did indeed just come from one of the pods, he was glad he hadn't reacted the same.

"Okay, okay. Phew." After a few moments of trying to clean herself up since she thankfully hadn't gotten any puke on her body Ofelia turned to look at this newcomer. A trainee, no division just yet, and fresh from a trial that she herself barely remembered passing. An interesting case, the second time she was here to wake someone properly, and she ran her tongue over her teeth before opening her mouth to grin. She kept her distance from him though, didn't want him to have to smell bad breath first thing.
As if the vomiting wasn't a bad start.
"Welcome ta Deus Ex Machina, land of the free an' home'a the people likely ta die b'for they turn thirty. Any questions?" That was the worst welcoming phrase ever.

At least it seemed like she wasn't going to throw up again. Aiden looked at the young woman and gave a slight smile. "Thank you. Oh, many questions but the first would be, who are you?" He asked as he thought on the questions he would ask. He had to straighten out what he remembered first before he could ask more after all so best to start simple.

Dakota was busting some moves in the pod duty room, mainly because among the sleeping bodies, no one could judge. Not like he cared anyways but....Plus kitchen duty had been traded for Pod duty and he was tired of cooking spaghetti every night.
EVERY NIGHT.
Augh the horrors!
"Well gorgeous, once you get out, you can get all the spaghetti you want." He poked at one of the pods and sighed. Where was the company, where was the people. He took back his earlier thoughts, being on pod duty sucked...BY HIMSELFFFFFFFF.

Pod duty sucked. It always always did. At least in the underwater base you could zone out and watch things float past the windows like a big dull screensaver. Cleaning the windows was also an option and Rep had gotten pretty OCD about the smudges on the glass while he was there. Pod duty though, nothing you could do but sit and try not to think what the sleepers were dreaming about or get creeped out by the low hum.
He was actually relieved to see Dakota already there when he arrived, company was a rare blessing, and at least with Dakota about, things were never boring.
"They say talking to yourself is the first sign of madness bro." he interrupted with a sly smirk.

Jerry loved pod duty. No one ever woke on his shift, and he rarely had company so it was the perfect time to really practice. Hours upon hours of pretty decent acoustics. He had even started formulating various songs in case someone DID wake up. They were all... works in progress, though. He was having a difficult time debating if guitar or uke would be better, but now he had a keyboard but it was a bit too difficult to drag down to the room, and there was that new mandolin from Jordan he should practice...
He settled for guitar as being the most inoffensive to a groggy awoken sleepers. Although mandolin could be very soothing as well as playful, he just hadn't mastered it well enough yet.
heads up. Looks like the duty roster was overbooked.
"Oh!" he was woken from his thoughts and chord-fiddling as he walked by his weapons warning before brightening at the familiar faces of Dakota and Rep. "Ahaha you guys on duty too? You could tell me what you think!"

In her time in stasis, and in between the hours and days of endless, hollow black, Pasha had dreamed. There were dreams where she won, and dreams where she lost. Ones where death was always in the corners just beyond the edge of the room, like a planned ending in an unplanned work. The memories of these worlds blurred disconcertingly together in her mind, a confusing hum of here and there, life and what-if. She'd dreamed of oceans and suns and planets entirely burnt out of light, and memories and voiceless words and faceless conversations. But now it was time to wake up, and though Pasha could recall thousands of tiny fragmented memories, she could not remember what it was like to exist in a place beyond her own mind.
The stale, clammy air inside of her lungs roused her attention first. And then there was a twitch; her fingers moving of their own accord against cool metal. A dull ache spread from the small of her back, slowly filling her entire body with a prickling and uncomfortable sensation. Her clothing clipped her around her elbows and bunched up against her skin, rubbing uncomfortably as soon as she tried to move. The gentle whir-hum of machines all around pushed and pulled at her attention. What, her mind inquired fuzzily, but the question lulled out of importance to the fact that her eyelids were heavy.
Pasha made a small noise, twitching her nose, her mouth. Her eyes finally cracked open sluggishly - and the light was too bright.
They instantly closed, fluttering back down and scrunching as though the girl was willing herself back into sleep. Oh, she thought quietly after a moment, I think I have dreamed enough though... So hesitantly, she opened them again, wincing at the bright light all around. When it faded some, she was able to make out the shell of her container. Her hands pressed curiously (and with some level of fear), to the glass panel doors to the pod. Tentatively, she gave them a gentle push and was rewarded with the sound of clicking and a machine whirring to life. After a moment, they swung open, and oblivious to the men on what she would later figure out was "pod duty", Pasha stepped out into the real world for the first time in a very long time.
But then she began to realize that she wasn't exactly alone - as soon as her legs gave up trying to work properly after so many days motionless, and she stumbled right into the closest solid thing - Dakota.

Dakota turned, raising an eyebrow at Rep and grinning back. "Yo. Also is it considered talking to myself if you hear me? Or talking to myself when no one is around? Because if no one is around to hear me talk to myself, then how do they know I do it?" Dakota was totally into that intelluct stuff right?
Then he heard the murmur of the janitor, or whatever Otto called him. Looking over his shoulder, he snorted at the sight of Jerry and nodded to him. "Sup Jer-ster, And tell you what you think of-" The sound of a pod opening had his eyes widening. Then the bump of something into him had him freezing and looking over his shoulder.
Body against him...IT WAS A ZOMBIE ATTACK.
Or a small girl. A very...very small girl. Almost as small as Saya. "SWEET JESUS WE GOT A WAKER!" Dakota moved quick, scooping the girl up in his arms princess style and smiling at her. "Hey there Little Angel, did you come to bless us earth dwellers with your angelic beauty?"
Smooth.
