The female would feel those teeth cut through her paw before the pokemon would literally fall back to earth and bound away with that sand thrust. He couldn't have seen her, but that didn't mean she moved away fast enough to prevent any damage as she drew her paw back as blood pool and dripped on the ground.
She was getting weaker and weaker as she rushed through her own sands in the same movement as she hugged her paw to her for only a second before leaping up and trying to drive her claw down and into the back of the Growlithe in her rage.

ooc// I'm a tad bit confused again. Since my last turn was my defense turn, it means I should attack now?
The Growlithe definitely felt lucky all through out this battle as he managed to dodge the Zangoose once again. Instead of telling her Pokemon to attack again, Mia decided to throw a pokeball at the Zangoose, hoping she could catch it.

[Yes, it's your attack turn. That is correct.]
The Zangoose missed again ....as she growls her anger and looks up just in time to see a pokeball smack her between her eyes. It bounces off as it twirls once and opens even as the zangoose lost her balance and fell backwards. Her body was dissolved into a reddish light as she was called into the pokeball as it fell heavily upon the sands.
Shaking once, twice, and one hard third time the pokeball would lay still as the button on the from of it went from red to white.
Mia had captured a Zangoose.

"Eeeeeeeeeeek!" Mia squealed, running and picking up the now occupied pokeball. "I caught my first Pokemon!" She said to the Numel, showing off her pokeball. "And it's all thanks to you!" She turned around and winked at her Growlithe. "We make a great team" She couldn't help all of the smiling and laughing.
She released the Zangoose. "I think I should find a nickname you... What do you think of Slash? I think it's very fitting seeing as it's what you do best," Mia explained, hoping her new Pokemon would like the name.

The Zangoose upon release looked at her ...and sighed. She was now a pet, and as she got her name she had to admit ...it sounded tough, but then again ...as she looks at the grinning girl and gave a weak smile herself.
She had lost to his girl, and her doggie.
There was a long road for both of them as she received her new name, and the Numel gave a smug grin at her.
Somehow she knew that somehow this was all that pokemon's fault.
Though the Numel didn't wait long for Mia to stop her celebration as she would trot the rest of the way to the Oasis and Slash would walk behind her. The Zangoose already knew about the water's properties as she took a drink to full restore her hp back to normal.
This was the Numel's gift as the pokemon smiles them both.
This was her way of saying thank you for helping her to search for her nugget as she turns and starts to walk away. Now it would seem that if Mia had an interest in this pokemon she would have to intercede or risk watching it literally walk away from her.
Slash's hp is fully restored thanks to the fresh water

As the Numel started to walk away, Mia decided that she really wanted to have her join her team. She felt a bit silly just asking her to join her team, but she felt wrong about outright attacking her.
"Hey, wait up!" She called out to the Pokemon, running up towards her. "Would you like to join my team?" She smiled at the Pokemon, trying to assure her that it would be a good decision to join.

The Numel looked at her then and cocked her head slightly to one side at having the girl call out to her. The invitation to join a team ...she looked over at her nugget and then back at Mia and narrowed her eyes.
She was trying to ask a question ...a question that had to do with the nugget as she takes her head and places it down on her hump as she rubs her head against it and makes a sound that seems almost like she was cooing at it.
She would reach over and rub it even harder as she smiles. Then looks back over at Mia and calls out loudly.
"Numel ...nu ..mel ..numel?"
It was a good question for her to ask and she wasn't sure if the girl couldn't understand her heart then there was no way that she would join her.

The small girl couldn't help but smile. She should have known that the Pokemon she had found digging through the dirt for the nugget wouldn't so easily part with it.
"We could bring the nugget with us, and I'll make sure you're never separated from it ever again," she explained, hoping this would tempt the Numel into wanting to join her team.

With that said, the Numel turns to face her and with a smile nods her head. She turn turns her head backward again and grabs the nugget in her mouth. She holds onto the nugget as she waits for her to throw the pokeball for her to become a part of her team.

Mia's smile grew bigger when the Numel nodded, agreeing to join her team. She grabbed an empty pokeball and tossed the pokeball in the Numel's direction, watching the white light surround the yellow Pokemon.

It fell to the earth and without any resistances whatsoever it would rock once, and the button would change from red to white as the Numel was captured.
It would seem that Mia was having a lot of luck, but then again, that meant that she only had one pokeball left and haven't her professor given her a special mission. Then again, had she lost or won that match in order to even have to worry about it.
She still had a path before, but a choice of whether or not to take it or not. Or, she could always turn back around and go home at this point ...though that left her with another problem of how to even get back if she choose that path to go.

Once the button turned from red to white, Mia picked up the pokeball excitedly and called her newly captured Pokemon out. "Now... To think of a nickname for you..." She took a few minutes to think about a name for her Numel and came up with the perfect one. "What about 'Venus'? In latin, it means 'love' and I think your love for that nugget is pretty special," Mia explained, hoping she would like it.
'Only one pokeball left...' She though, suddenly remembering the Stunky. She had received a special mission from her Professor, one that would allow her to keep the Stunky she had her first battle with. She could choose to go back, even though she wasn't sure where 'back' was at this point, or she could keep going on and maybe capturing one more Pokemon. She pondered her options and then decided on her second option.
Upon deciding that her Pokemon could walk out of their pokeball for now, Mia started walking in the direction she was supposed to, her Pokemon following close behind.

Venus smiles at her name as she turns and places her special nugget on her back. Her feet would move slowly and surely as she follows after her. Her life was changing now, and from this moment on ...she would no longer be a wild pokemon ...and that meant that she no longer need to worry about someone stealing her love ....as she looks back and smile at it.
Yes, they would be together forever, and she would stay beside her trainer as long as she didn't try to separate them ...which should be for the same length of time.
