Ceri crossed her arms. "I see." She tried to stifle a yawn, but failed. She had used a lot of magic today, and staying up this late didn't help at all. She wouldn't let it phase her though. She had a duty.

"Mm, no." Val, who could be rather forceful with what she wanted on occasion, pulled him up. "You'll wait behind this tree with me. Where we can kiss." She pulled him behind the tree and immediately began kissing him in a manner that may have seemed like mouth rape, rough and with tongue.
"Nooo!" Angel frowned. "Ceri and Alek are going to be together forever and ever and ever, and they're going to get married with a pretty white dress and everything and a big cake and they're going to have lots of cute little children and..." She took a deep breath. "And they're going to be super happy!"
"Seriously. It was so boring I at one point bit myself just to see how much it hurt. We would have left, but..." He sighed, and his eyes glazed over as he remembered. "It's where mum was happiest. It's where we were going to be a family forever."

"I'm sorry....I shouldn't of pried." Ceri's face was stolid. she had learned long ago how to not show emotion. She said a little while later, "We're just about there...Do you see their fires?" She pointed to the small flecks of light.

"Saw them a while ago." Alek glanced at her. "And don't worry about prying. I don't mind." There was a slightly amused tone to his voice.

Mala raised an eyebrow at Angel's protests. "My, aren't you imaginative." she said with much amusement. Just to keep up a conversation she asked the girl, "So, is there someone you want to do that with? Marry and happilly ever whatever?"

Ceri could hear the lint in his voice. "What's so funny, Alec?" she asked. She ran a hand through her hair again, nervous.

Rincewind didn't fight the kiss for more than a second. "Mmmm..." he moaned, placing his hands on Val's cheeks.

"Not really." Angel sighed. "I used to like this really cute human boy, but I drank from him and one day he made me bite his neck and I accidentally bit too hard and severed the carotid artery, and he died. His blood didn't taste good to me, then." She sighed again, sadly, and then she was cheerful again, her defense mechanism. "What about you? Are you going to marry Van and live happily forever and ever?" It was a natural train of thought for her; Mala reminded Angel of her mother; Van reminded her of her father; therefore, they should get married and make babies.
"Good boy," Val murmured, making him sit and sitting on his lap, her fingers going up and down his arms.
"You're just cute," he said with a smirk.

Ceri blushed. She turned to him. "We should really focus on the mission," she said, looking at him with a determined look. She crossed her arms at her waist.

"I can focus on many things at once," he said breezily. "For example, I am simultaneously watching our progress and looking at how adorable you are when you blush. But if you don't have my multitasking skill, I suppose I could focus on just the mission."

Ceri turned back to the trail and said, "Walk." She then continued on her path, walking away from the vampire. Her blood was rushing to her cheeks again. She didn't understand how he was getting into her head, and making her think that way.

"Woosh, woosh," he murmured. "There goes your blood again, straight to your cheeks." His eyes were fixated on the fires. "You really should stop blushing so much. It makes it much harder not to kiss you."
Val licked his lower lip. "Feel free to put your hands anywhere you want..." She kissed him again and moved his hand so his fingertips were just barely under her pants. "And I mean anywhere."

Ceri said, "Maybe if you were brave enough, you would stop asking me and just do it." She then bit her tongue, wishing she hadn't of said that. Sometimes, her wit got in her way.
