Thought he died, but the skull guy reminds me a little of the physical representation of the sword when it possessed Cervantes in one of the games.

I thought he died too, but knowing the Soul series stories...its some huge twists involving spirits kind of like Cervantes if you will. spoiler: this guy has a demonic form
