Samael, an odd youth, clad in armor that did not fit his personality, casually strode towards the armory forge. His black suit of iron and leather, which did not reflect light due to his choice of coloring, made him look as though he were a very aggressive person, when in reality he was quite the opposite. As he reached the forge, he stopped, suddenly self-concious upon seeing others there. He took a moment to regain his confidence, which he achieved by mentally telling himself that his armor design was sufficient to keep him from being critisized by others.
Moving forward, he entered the building, if it could be called one, being largely open on many sides, and began to browse the wares. He was fascinated by the choices in metal to use, and noted that many of the students that were present seemed to be skilled weapon smiths. Unlike them, he had no talent for swords, spears, or any other sort of weapon, as he was an armor smith. Also unlike the others, he was not nearly confident enough to simply walk in and start smelting metal. What if he were to take someone else's iron ingot? Surely that would upset them, and he had no intentions of making enemies on his first day at camp.

>>..Old Boreas and the sun, one day
Espied a traveller on his way,
Whose dress did happily provide
Against whatever might betide...>>

»"I see...." he replied, looking down slightly and muttering a soft Greek swear under his breath. He certainly didn't want to aggravate Adonia, mostly because of who her father happened to be, but more so because he hated making his friends and family mad. It is a pet peeve of his that, even to this day, effects many of the decisions he's made in his life. That aside, he was somewhat glad that he was able to get away from the commotion and drama that ensued shortly after Lyra had...His mind went blank.

Here he was, sitting in the Armory after he had practically barged in, and between his two friends that had fallen for one another after all the drama was resolved. He sighed once again and looked to Lyra and then to Kevin in a sort of quick shift from one to the other, and then came back to meet Lyra's fiery, fierce eyes. He choked a bit on the heat as he suddenly began to realize just how hot it was in the Armory. Although only having been gone for a short time, he had forgotten the intense heat of the Armory, which was especially bad for his kind. The arid, stale air made it even harder for him to catch his breath, almost as if he was asthmatic. He decided it would be best to finish this short-lived conversation and take his leave.

"Well, if either of you happen to see her, would you kindly tell her to head to my cabin? I would appreciate it." he asked in a soft, almost shy tone. Truth was, he was trying to save his breath as he did not wish to waste more power on generating a cooling wind around him, which was almost impossible inside the Armory. He turned himself around and nodded to them as a sign of to say Thanks for having me here! He reached for the door and swung it open, preparing to take a gasp of air as he took his exit from the Armory. Just before he took his step out, however, he turned to Lyra with a small, friendly smile. "Hey, thanks for the Argo book you gave me. It's...it's helped me greatly in my research." And with that, he turned back and left the Armory.

After closing the door behind him, Gabriel exhaled all the stagnant, arid oxygen from his lungs and took in a wholesome, fresh breath of cooled air. He relaxed a bit and then turned towards the glistening sun in the sky. It was a bit overcast today, but there was a break in the clouds so the sun rained down it's powerful, warming light upon the camp. He turned his gaze aside and leveled it out, turning his head towards the direction of the cabins. With a steady rhythm, Gabe walked off towards his cabin for the first time in, well, that didn't really matter to him. He was finally "home".

Natalia slammed the door shut to the armory, I mean SLAMMED. She was still mad about what happened with Mac a little over a month ago. A little over two and a half months ago, Mac and Natalia had a huge fight, probably their biggest since the Tristen thing, no, the Tristen thing couldn't even be considered a fight, just a slip of her mind. Anyways, their biggest fight, she couldn't remember what it was of, but it was big. The next week they made up, then the day after they made up, he left. To where, she wasn't sure then, she didn't even know he was going to leave, he didn't tell her or anyone else, just, left. About a month and a half ago he came back, almost immediately she jumped back into his arms, quickly she realized something was off. Shortly, with the help of the necklace he gave her, she found out that it wasn't something, more off someone. He had made out with some slutty ex huntress, she forgot her name, but the second she realized what happened, she bolted out of the cabin, breaking it off with Mac. He didn't even chase after her, that's probably what bugged her so much, he didn't even have the nerve to chase after her, stop her, explain. No. He stood there like an idiot, not doing anything. Useless. She had been on an emotional roller coaster since then, from fine to sad to angry to happy to angry to depressed to ecstatic to sad to angry, just a mess. No matter how much her sister said is was useless to get upset, he was the first guy she had ever loved, it would be ridiculous to not be reacting this way. Next stop on the emotional 'bipolar' roller coaster: angerville. Anger surged inside her, hatred for Mac, hatred for what he did, hatred for her falling for it, and hatred towards her sister for being so right at it all. Tiny flames started to flicker off her body, anger surged through her body, weirdest thing was, it felt like liquid nitrogen was crawling through her veins.

Natalia tried to calm down, she knew by the flames dancing off her body that she was extremely mad, it was hard to her to tell how she felt at times. She took a deep breath in, the warm air filling up her lungs. The tangoing flames calm down to a slow waltz, her anger residing a little. She walked over to an anvil, picking up a hammer. Her hand still hurt, so she put it back down. When her sister saw her that day, she thought that she had been hurting herself purposely, and no matter how many times she explained it, she wouldn't understand. She had giving up convincing her sister that she hadn't cut herself, she could believe what she wanted. She was convinced her sister hated her right now, she had just been acting negative towards her, and she had been annoying to her. She looked down at her scaring hand. The day the whole Mac fiasco happened, she had hurt herself, not purposely, she was just out of it and was extremely klutzy then. First, she fell on her butt that day, then she tripped over something and cut her leg open, she assumed it was on something metal since the still healing gash was an inch deep ad eight inched long, and then she stepped on a sharp rock, cutting her foot open, and finally that day she cut her hand open with her sword by accidentally clenching her hand on it. Klutzy Natalia for you. She replaced the hammer, opting not to make anything. She make her way over to the large furnace and sat down next to it, her feet folded under herself. The warmth of the fire would have been burning anyone else's kid except a child of Hephaestus, but it felt nice to her, very homely. The flames on her skin quickly disappeared, her body entering a tranquil state as she started at the fire that danced in from of her.

With his sword, Frostmourne, in hand, Gabe entered the heated, charcoal filled Armory. His lungs tensed as he took in a slight breath of the thick dust that permeated the entire room. He had grown accustom to covering himself in a small veil of wintery wind, but sometimes even that wasn't enough to keep him comfortable in the hot, almost arid like Armory. It was never his favorite place to be, unless for an absolutely good reason, on his freetime. But, with his mind set on getting the Automation, IceFire, repaired, he put aside his uncomfortable position for the moment. He took a quick glance around the room and found only a young girl lying by herself, curled up by the fire pit in the middle of the wall. He wasn't sure if she was good with Automation work, of even a black smith at all, but he figured it was worth a shot.

"Hey, sorry to bother you when you look so...cozy.." he managed to get out. He had hoped she wasn't sleeping, as waking up a sleeping girl was something he never wanted to look forward too. Over his few, short encounters with girls over the years, its taught him some very important things. One of which is to never disturb their naps. You would be in for a world of hurt, if you were unlucky enough to do so. Scratching his head a bit, he continued on. "I was curious if you could take a look at this Automation. It seems to be a bit slow in its movements lately." He motioned to his pocket and pulled out a near still-life IceFire, encased in his resting form. He was normally watchfully guarding Gabe's belongings in the cabin, but a few days ago, the little metal monstrosity began to creak and clank when he moved. Perhaps he was a little older than Gabe had though, or maybe he wasn't taking good care of it. Either way, he needed to be repaired, and metal working was not one of Gabe's strong points.

However, his mind change topics on him, as he couldn't figure out who the girl was. He could have sworn he had seen her before, but he couldn't put his finger on it. The girl reminding him of someone he had met, a while back though, but it just wouldn't come to him. 'Possibly a friend of Adonia?' ran across his mind. Ah, Adonia. He hadn't seen Adonia in camp for a little while now, and neither had anyone else. Without a single word as to where she could be, he figured it was best to break all romantic ties with her, though he felt terrible in doing so. But, he wanted to move on, and he was sure that was the exact reason Adonia had gone her own way as well.

After about an hour of sitting, it had almost looked like she was frozen in that spot, her chest didn't even look like she was breathing, she jumped a bit. A boy had entered the armory, tallish, well, anyone was tall compared to the petite five feet tall girl. His hair was either dark brown or black, there was a chilling sensation about him. The fiery girl got chills running up her back, the hairs on her arms stood straight up. The boy was oddly familiar, but she was almost positive they've never met. Then again, she had a terrible memory. She looked him over, some dye was on his forehead, meaning his hair was just dyed, meaning if there was ever a chance she'd recognize him before, there was none now. She pushed her nose stud back in, she had been pulling it in and out while she sat at the fire,"Hey, sorry to bother you when you look so...cozy.." he said, "It's nothing, just thinking, dozing off a bit" she chuckled. She leaned against a war hammer that lay tilted against the wall. It was funny actually, a girl of her size, and wearing what she was, with grease on her face, leaning on a giant war hammer.

The boy scratched his head, "I was curious if you could take a look at this Automation. It seems to be a bit slow in its movements lately." the boy said. An automaton emerged from his pocket, a familiar one at that, she knew the work anywhere,"Lyra made this, didn't she?" she said, chuckling a bit. She saw the problem, a couple of pieces had broken off. She reached behind her, grabbing a couple of pieces of scrap metal, then turned the dragon automaton off by pressing the triangular button, located right under it's chin, very very softly. She knew very well that if she pushed it any harder, the whole thing would have fallen apart. She turned it over, reaching under it's mechanical let, placing the part she had built out of metal. She then replaced the screws that had fallen out. This whole thing took not longer then three seconds, four if you stretched it. She looked up, a smile on her face, but the boy looked a little more shocked. With another chuckle she thought she should tell him why she was so good at that,"I'm Natalia Wright, Daughter of Hephaestus, I'm guessing your new here" she said, still laughing a bit. She held out her hand to shake, this was exactly what she needed, a distraction.

"Natalia?" Gabe restated. He could have sworn that he heard that name mentioned around camp before, but from where, or when, he didn't know. For a few moments, he thought on it, trying to not seem rude against Natalia for extending her hand to him as a greeting. Suddenly, a jolt sent through his mind, and he knew where he had seen her before. Awhile back, though it was a pretty long while, he had run into her though only for a moment. If he recalled correctly, it was back when he was introduced to Lyra, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure on that. In any case, his eyes lite up in excitement as he remembered the girl from before. A lot had changed about her, mainly her hair style and color. But he had done the same thing himself, so it was no wonder she didn't recognize him either. "Oh, Natalia! I remember you now. I think I met you when I first met Lyra, here in the Armory. Man, you sure changed a lot." Gabe exclaimed, accepting her hand as he placed a smile on across his face. About a second later, he registered that he hadn't properly introduced himself, or in this matter, reintroduced himself to Natalia. With a slight pull on the top of his hoodie, he made a slight bow, and continued on."It's Gabriel, remember? Sorry if I confused you. I just dyed my hair as well. No wonder we didn't remember each other right away." he joked. His attention turned to the automation, all repaired and looking brand new. With a mutter of the activation code, the little mechanical dragon sprung to life and quickly found itself perched atop Gabriel's shoulder.

"Hey IceFire, glad to see you're feeling better." he muttered quietly to the little mechanical beast. It made a small screech as if in approval or thanking Gabe for repairing him. He rubbed the bottom of his cold, metallic chin and pressed the switch, returning the creature to its slumber. He turned back to Natalia with another smile on his face. "Thanks a bunch for fixing my little friend here. You know, your sister gave him to me awhile back as a gift, to help guard my belongings I suppose." he blurted out, gazing around the Armory quickly before returning his sight to Natalia. It was nice to see another friendly face around camp, especially since several new kids had arrived at camp not to long ago. To him, it was beginning to become cramped with strange faces he never knew before. He stretched his hand out to Natalia, thanking her for her help in fixing his little "guardian".

"Oh, Natalia! I remember you now. I think I met you when I first met Lyra, here in the Armory. Man, you sure changed a lot." Gabriel exclaimed. Natalia looked at the boy funny, her armory skills were fantastic, her memory, not so much,"It's Gabriel, remember? Sorry if I confused you. I just dyed my hair as well. No wonder we didn't remember each other right away." She thought back, trying to remember him, "Did you used to be blond? Why'd you dye your hair? It fit you, not saying this doesn't, this is a very good look on you.." she said, starting to fumble over her words. Gaberiel laughed a bit at her, playful, she hoped at least, then saw he shifted his attention from her to the automaton, giving her a chance to breath a breath of relief; the poor girl was terrible with social situations,"Hey IceFire, glad to see you're feeling better." He said, talking to the automaton. She laughed a bit, she swore only Hephaestus kids did that, she guessed not,"Talking to an automaton? That means your crazy" she added, laughing a bit,"Trust me, I'd know" They both laughed a bit, the tension was decreasing,"Thanks a bunch for fixing my little friend here. You know, your sister gave him to me awhile back as a gift, to help guard my belongings I suppose." She cocked her head sideways, confused,"You have to GUARD your stuff? How many...er..." she hadn't remembered his mother/father, it had been so long,"..anyways, how many people could be in your cabin anyways? Unless you're a Hermes kid, then I understand, they're all kind of crazy.." she added, and she knew that he would understand. Everyone was in the Hermes cabin to start with, then moved to their parents once they were claimed, unless, their parent is Hermes, then they stay put. She looked him over again, he was actually pretty 'cute'. The hair fit him well, and his eyes were marvelous behind his glasses,"I really do love what you did to your hair" she added, blushing a bit. She hadn't even talked to a boy since Mac, and when they were dating, she didn't really get to since he was always overprotective.

"Did you used to be blond? Why'd you dye your hair? It fit you, not saying this doesn't, this is a very good look on you." He chuckled a bit as those words came out. He was glad someone had noticed the change. As she went on, he did notice that he got a bit carried away and began talking to IceFire, his little automaton guardian. It was force of habit sometimes, seeing as how there are only several other people in the Boreas cabin, including Troy whom he hadn't spoken to in weeks. After Natalia posed her last question, "...how many people could be in your cabin anyways? Unless you're a Hermes kid, then I understand, they're all kind of crazy., Gabriel finally realized something. He never really had a reason to guard his stuff, but he chose to keep IceFire anyway. Though he could have given it back, he liked the company of the tiny dragon. Finally, he directed himself to reply to Natalia's questions.

"Yes, actually, it was blond. I dyed it a few days ago, did it myself. I had a...falling out...with some friends of mine, so I changed my style a bit to refresh myself." he replied. He placed the still IceFire in his pants pocket and continued on, looking somewhat intensely at Natalia, whom he noticed was looking quite fondly at him too. "I think it makes me look a bit more like my father. Being a son of Boreas and all, having blond hair seemed to make my stand out a bit more than I liked. Not that I'm a conservative person or anything, I just don't like being in the limelight longer than I have to be." He paused for a moment, looking at Natalia as she butted in for a moment. "I really do love what you did to your hair" Now, it wasn't something he had heard at all lately, but he hardly ever got that compliment when he had blond hair either, especially after he cut it shorter. He noticed a bit of a blush around Natalia's already heated red cheeks, so he couldn't help but blush either.
'Perhaps...things are going to be better this time. he thought, trying to cover up his slight blush with a tilted head and a friendly smile. "Thanks Natalia. I like what you did to yours too. It was red before, wasn't it?" He asked, trying to make sure he was correct, and move the conversation forward at the same time.
