Aki strolled up to the gate soon after Hiniko got there, the girl having run ahead for one reason or another. Stopping, he looked around and saw Hiniko, and the first girl, who had left early. Suki was it? But no sign of the team leader, or the apparently shy girl who had stuck to the wall the entire time in the office. Sighing, he settled himself down on a nearby bench with his sword case in his lap to wait.

Naiten walked up quietly to the group and simply stood on the edges. As can be seen by the replacement of what used to be a large shoulder bag with much smaller one, the girl had stopped by her room to get ready for the mission. It was necessary, seeing how brining along her study items probably wasn't the best idea. Now, all she was carrying from the last load were several scrolls, some ink, and a couple brushes as opposed to about twice as many of the aforementioned supplies in addition to several books. Of course, she also carried several other supplies such as some basic medical stuff, extra food, random items that might come in handy, and water. Another new addition were a pair of fingerless gloves on the girl's hands.

 From the shadows, a figure remained standing on the branch of a nearby tree attentively watching the gate. When the squad had finally gathered before Konoha's massive gates, the figure scanned the piece of paper containing the squad info once more before smirking. Leaning forward with one hand still pressed against the tree, the figure pushed off from the branch and landed just 1 meters from the gate. The girl had long black hair held back by a white barrette and she was dressed in a beige long sleeve top and knee length red skirt. Waving the piece of paper she received from the ANBU regarding her squad, Akai had a bored look on her face as she addressed them. "You're the escort mission group right? Client, Aki Yan, Genin, Suki, Hyuuga Hiniko, and Tsuchigumo Naiten?" No bother to wait for an answer, Akai set the little slip of paper on fire before letting it drop to the ground. "Anyhow, I'm your chuunin mission leader and the name's Tsubaki Akai. So how about we get this show on the road? I already finished filling out all the necessary paperwork." Crossing her arms over her chest is was rather obvious that Akai didn't really view this mission as something she wanted to do.

Chuunin | Katon | Konoha Cloaked in a long shawl that was torn and battered, Taiji made his way into konoha. It had been quite some time since the last time he had been home. He had made an old compound of the uchiha clan, rumored to be the original base of operations for madara and the founding cln members the stage for his training after ascending to the rank of chuunin. Waving halfheartedly to the guards he made his way in, and towards the Hokage tower for his first meet with the woman who took the place of Matsuya. [exit to hokage tower]

 Hiniko turned to the woman and nodded. "I'm ready when everyone else is" she said stretching a little and sighing ready for this to get underway so she could get done with it and go talk to Zin.

Nai simply stood quietly in her spot and waited for the rest of the group to move. Her head seemed to move a little in what could be interpreted as a nod, but that was about it. Her gaze, as usual, was directed at the floor except for the occasional, sweeping glance to keep track of the others.

As the chuunin arrived, Aki stood up and advanced towards her. "I am Aki Yan." he confirmed. "The trip will take about a week probably, so we'd best get moving and get some miles behind us before dark."

Suki nodded, arms still crossed. You can do this, Suki. One week. They should have had enough supplies for that. Still, the dangers were obvious. She eyed the sword case one more time before heading off ahead of the group. She had no knowledge of this Tsubaki Akai, which meant she didn't know the woman's strengths and weaknesses. That could prove fatal later on, but Suki wasn't going to inquire about the woman seeing as how this was probably the only mission Suki and Tsubaki would work together in.

When her employer spoke of the mission length, Akai simply sighed before shrugging. "Whatever..." Turning around, Akai prepared to head through the gates when the girl with long flowing red hair stepped ahead and lead the way. "Hmph. Sheesh...no manners, what do they teach kids in the academy these days." Shaking her head in disbelief, Akai didn't dwell to long on the fact before following behind the girl out the gates. Next stop, Merchant's Road. If they were lucky, they would be able to cover a good amount of distance before nightfall. --edited-- {dang. Aki blinked slowly as the red haired girl took off ahead of the group, but just shrugged his shoulders as he followed the chuunin out of the gate. Stopping only a short distance from the gate however, he ducked behind a bush, emerging seconds later with a backpack and leather strap. Pulling the pack on, he attached the strap to his sword case and slung it over his shoulder, smiling oddly at the group. "Gets you through the gates faster if you don't have all your stuff with you." he explained, before beginning to walk again, heading into the forest.

Hiniko didn't like this at all. There was no since of communication between the group. other than the shy one everyone seemed to want to do their own thing and that was bad. If they were going to work as a team they needed to BE a team no matter who knew what about the other person. She had a feeling things were going to end badly but she sighed and followed them out anyway. (exit)

Nai waited for everyone to leave before bringing up the rear. The back was where she would be observed the most, making it the most comfortable spot. Besides, from the back the girl could see the whole group, it was the best place to see if anyone was injured and the best place to plan.

He was here long ago, during Matsuya's innaguration ceremony and became the new Hokage. Since then, it was actually Matsuya that made the trips to visit his friends. Nowadays, Zane had no idea where he was, and maybe the new Hokage knew of his former friend's whereabouts. As he approached the gates, Zane stopped as the guards gave the strange man a look over. "My name is...Zero, and I am just wanderer seeking shelter in the Leaf Village," Zane stated, his core hidden by a cloack that he had taken to wrap his core around himself. He was of course still inhabiting his puppet Maverick Hunter's body...but his other puppet body was completely destroyed during the Sand attack. Waiting to be allowed entrance to the village, or denied, Zane merely bowed humbly towards the guards to make himself as little threat as possible.

 The current gate guard was enjoying the peaceful time when Zane arrived at the gate, he seemed abit off and the guard knew never to trust anyone until a proper identity could be confirmed. Zane had also disrupted his free time and that pissed the guard off to no end, "Oh che diavolo..." The guard stood up, clad in white robes, his headband wrapped around his waist like a belt, he spoke in a strange accent...it didn't it with everyone else's...he sounded very foreign compared to the other villagers, " Do you have some form of identification? I can't just let random strangers walk into the the village you know, that would be in bad taste."
