"Get his attention. You've seen how big a wolf he is. You know what he's capable of. So why, I can't help but wonder, he choses a weak-a** hume for a partner." Akihito's face was a strange one. It was serious and yet...something else at the same time.

Akihito didn't like his answer. "You probably used your voice, didn't you? He told me you can hypnotize werewolves into a stupor with it. You probably did the same thing to him!" His eyes were slightly cracked open, glowing with a fury that didn't belong to a best friend.

Akihito rushed to Austin and put a hand over his mouth. "So, you got him by being your self huh?" He examined him a bit more closely. "And yet, you just a hume. What does a hume got that I don't? It doesn't make any sense." The last two sentences he whispered to him self, but Austin could still hear due to how close he was.

"Aw, look at the genius hume. Did you figure that out all by your self? Of course I love Rakuna. But that fool's been hanging around humans too long. You humes got him thinking unnaturally. Us animals have no problem shacking up with each other as long as we want to. Humes are the ones who find it unnatural. Humes are the twisted thinkers. Who cars if it's your brother or sister? You're all humes, right? So technically, you're related by race! Then does that not fall under incest in it self!? Well?!" He was talking a bit more loudly now. But not so much that Rakuna could hear.

Akihito sneered. "Yeah. I can see that." His ears twitched sadly. "But I love him, too. That's why, I'll do anything to make him happy. Even if it means hurting my self. Could you do the same? Don't answer that. Just think." He stood and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

Rakuna sat up as he thought a loud noise. "Oi, what's going on back there?"
"Nothing, Rakuna. I tripped over one of your damn shoes. You should clean your room one of these days!"

Akihito, after talking with Rakuna for a bit, went to his own room. After he shut the door, he opened his eyes. His red-orange irises glistened with tears that would never be shed. "So. After the next full moon, my time with him will come to an end... I can...live with that...can't I?"

Rakuna drifted off to sleep, his wounds draining away the rest of his consciousness.

Rakuna instinctively moved so Austin could have room and wrapped his arms around him.

In the morning, Akihito woke up early so he could start making breakfast for him self. Then he remembered, lethargically, that Rakuna was ther as well. His mood lightened a bit as he looked forward to seeing Rakuna's face. Then he walked into the main room and his memories of yesterday came back. He saw that Austin had snuggled up against Rakuna after he had went to sleep. Seeing the hume made his tails twitch in agitation. With an annoyed huff, he went into the kitchen and started cooking.

Rakuna awoke to the smell of food. He opened his eyes and moved to sit then, but a weight on his body stopped him. At first, he thought it was was his wounds, but looking down, he saw Austin, and an idiotic grinned spread across his face.
