What would a Galley's bartender do when not tending bar, as far as duty goes. I asked sometime back but never got any kind of answer.

Most ships don't have such a thing in the navy as a bar. Chefs onboard a boat, however, is different. I'm not so familiar with modern protocol on it, since we rarely beat to quarters anymore, but if memory serves right, they tend to stay out of the way and secure things down in teh galley. Foodstuffs, pans, etcetera.

Wow, varies a lot. Some cooks are assigned gunnery duty and stuff at General Quarters. So you'd probably be an assistant gunner somewhere. If you're aboard ship you have to have a purpose in combat most of the time, from first aid and damage control to assistants to the gunnery crew and so forth.

My guess is that in the ISD, it'd be support staff. Since chefs are pretty decent makeshift quartermasters, you'd be running about grabbign guns, or if little else, helping my boys tote patients around.
@ Cale: Hovergurneys are one thing, but we dont' have that many of them. I'm pretty sure makeshift ones are being used made from fire blankets and simply carrying bodies as well.

Well he'd be assistant gunner so he wouldn't be shootin so much as keeping the power flow regulated if that was his battle station. He could be assistant to the medical staff. I think most cooks know how to sterilize stuff.

The 1st Death Star had the Hard Heart Cantina. People gotta have something to do when they're off duty.
Considering the situation the resolve's in, would it be expected that, whenever any attack happens and anyone's at all able to, we'd scavage anything that could be usable for later? Like a boarding party on an enemy vessel raids anything they can real quick on their way out, etc. Or like, if we just blew up enemy ships and are safe for the moment, we sit there for a bit while someone's hauling in salvagable scrap.

K-Blade a week? really? But I feel fine Doc, only, I didn't know you had a twin. Stitches in the side need to heal up, concussion on the head to get you light headed, painkillers that impede reaction times and senses.... Unless i get a direct order to authorize a bacta pump on you from the captain, i'm trying to make our supplies last longer. You're currently considered non-prioritized, so that I dont' have to come back later and clean your systems out with antitoxin and counsel you into rehabilitation off a narcotic binge. Be thankful we're low on people, otherwise standards would dictate a month, and then a week to retrain your flying skills. @ Stellar: Yes, but in this era, vibro and laser gear predominates. At best, they're scrubbing tables, because equiptment is self cleaning.

If we have time we'll do so... but about 30 seconds after we cleared out about 2,000 ships dropped out where we'd have been. They've got a sector group chasing us after all.

I'll head to the med-bay if thats fine. Maybe he was trained in galley and med-bay duties. So, maybe you could put that in my profile under assignment.
