Leon smiled at his wife and chuckled when Alex rolled his eyes "its the best part of any battle son trust me i envy you not being able to join in" he chuckled

Alex looked at his parents and said "your kidding me right?"

Perhaps not so much lying, but concealing all the details. I'll work on the spell. Our daughter needs her mother right now. Be good. Smiling warmly, Mathias said: "You two talk, I gotta go work on finding Alexa." With that, Mathias turned and walked into the kitchen, set the vials from Vix and Leon down, and continued working on the rest of the potion.

"Hey now," said Vix immediately, pushing him lightly back down. "You're just like your father. You are not participating with a stomach wound, my boy." She smiled at Naomi. "You aren't either. If you can keep an eye on my wayward son, that would be appreciated, though."

Aura watched her father leave. When she turned to her mother, she whispered softly, "Mom. I think there's something wrong with me."

Engela nodded. "Tell me about it," she said gently.

Slowly, hesitantly, Aura started to talk. About a voice in her head. About a power that she didn't recognize, that wasn't hers. About a strange affinity to storms that had nothing to do with her own magic. About blackouts, waking up to having done something or gone somewhere she didn't remember.

When it was all out, Engela remained silent. Stunned. How could this have been going on with Aura for so long without either her or Mathias noticing? How could they have let down their daughter that way?

"Aura," she said quietly, touching her daughter's shoulder, "we'll fix this. I promise."

Alex sat back down and looked at Naomi he was amused as well now and he said to his mom "alright mom"

Leon chuckled "he had to get it from somewhere"

3 figures burst past the 2 brothers into the village. "dam....my....legs....burn!" Flint managed to say between breaths. he had fallen headlong onto the ground and had stayed were he had fell. Tanis had his back against the inside of the wall breathing heavily not saying a word. his head down trying to regain his breath. Stern had tried to stay standing but his legs gave out under him and he now was on his knees his hands against the wall. "you guys do are just stupid somethings." another member came from the village seeing as the 3 had returned. "why would you go and do something like that? it may have been funny but was this really worth it?" "you piking a fight Rast?" Flint replied trying to get to his feet but fell back down. "even if i was, you couldn't do anything in that state. what did you 3 do? flash step the entire run?" "what else could we do?" came the reply. "well, i guess. heh, this is enough for me." and Rast walked away. "when you guys feel well enough again, the others are training and when you guys come, we can eat."

Gurrin chuckled a bit. "C'mon, i didnt try to kill you, plus Kray seemed annoyed to me, I was just being funny." Mellit brought some hot towels for their freezing feet, and put an extremely thin and flexible layer of ice on their legs. "We were really just testing the extent of our powers, see? the track we made is playing, plus, we gave you an excuse to slack off for a day, if Kray says anything, just blame us." Mellit said with a smile, he walked back inside and came out with jugs of water for all of the men. Gurrin then spoke, "Here, I'll get you guys some beds." His staff began to glow and the sand beneath all of Kray's men rose a few feet above the ground and became extremely soft. "I'll bring out a little bit of food in a bit," said Gurrin. He walked inside with Mellit and let the men rest.

Vix only laughed. "Make sure he doesn't get up, Naomi. Come on, Leon - we have cleaning up to do." She went out again, not pausing to see if he would follow her - she knew he would.
