I actually break them using my bare hands, so my teeth only enjoy the delicious center! I've had both kinds, and it really makes no difference to me! I practically inhale them!

I had some chile lime ones one time. WAY too spicy for me! I've also had some from a friend's tree. They were only lightly roasted. I like them a little more toasted than that, but they were free, so I could have them anytime I wanted. I think that's all I ate some days!

Yeah, didn't like the chili ones. Just didn't taste good. Fresh ones sound dandy, though.

They're just not quite so firm. The fresh ones are a little more chewy, but the flavor is still wonderful. One of the problems with the fresh ones is that they aren't always all the way open. And I hate throwing away the unopened ones! But my teeth aren't strong enough to get them opened, and my hands aren't really strong like yours!

That's why you use the handle of a utensil, or a hammer or shoe! In reality, cashews are more dangerous, cause of the outer layer is poisonous.

*looks around* Do I even HAVE a hammer? lol
A didn't know that about cashews! I do remember taking the outer coverings off thousands of walnuts when I was growing up. My dad would pay me a penny for each one I shelled. I hated walnuts for years after that!

Use the back of your spoon or something. Or use Lady Kira's spoon. Hers was too big back in the ranting thread!
But yeah, cashews can be dangerous if they don't get them out right! I believe that they could kill, but that may just be a folk tale.

I remember that spoon! It would work great! I wonder if she would let me borrow it next time I get 25 pounds of pistachios!
I'll have to look up the information about the cashews. Not that I've ever had them any way other than salted and in jars (or on pizza), but still! I'm curious!

She sends home BAGS of them! I've never weighed them, but it's the first time I've ever had so many pistachios that I actually got sick of eating them!

Well, that's understandable! I used to eat gummy bears all the time, but grew tired of them. I bought a bag the other day, but only had a couple handfuls. They're sitting at my feet right now, waiting to be eaten.

We always buy one of those HUGE bags of gummy bears for an annual program at the library where I work. For some reason we always have a ton of them left over, though, and the staff is allowed to help themselves. But they never lasted more than a day because one of the employees would spend his lunch break in our workroom the day after the program and eat all that were remaining. It was usually about half of the very large bag. Yuck!

That's a lot of gummy bears! But it's so hard to find that perfect balance of food, where it's not too much, but not too little either!

That happened with me and the marzipan yesterday. I had been craving it for months, so my mom gave me a box from Sees of nothing but marzipan. Twelve delicious pieces. I ate all of them in two days. I felt sick. On the bright side, I'm not craving it anymore!

Yup, I know that feeling! I LOVE chocolate! But back a few years ago wal-mart sold these box chocolates for 3 bucks a box. And there was a LOT of chocolate. After a week and 5 boxes, I was finished with chocolate! I still eat it, of course, but chocolate candy had been becoming more rare and rare for me to eat as time passes. I hope I get more of a hankering for it when I come back from my escapades.
