Sakeme continued to wander down the cavers. It was like a maze down there. She didn't mind though. Mazes were a tad relaxing to her. Taking down another wall on her dreamy walk into the darkness, she collected more coal and moved on.

It was getting darker and darker, but she could still guide her way around the various paths. A jab here and a punch there lead her to nothing... which she didn't mind. The rewards weren't too importiant... unless it was a diamond or something. That would be nice.

1D20(15)+str(6)+pickaxe(5)=26>20 success, roll for find was odd. Nothing found
Raisuke wondered what the point of this was? They wanted the land of stone to be mined dry? Eh.. he didn't understand it really but he was still going to partake in the action anyway. He had already picked up his pick axe and could use the money. He couldn't do missions fast enough to save up enough to buy himself the material to have a new ninjato made or to just buy a new one. As Rai came up on the area he was doing this in, he managed to get a small run. He swung the axe with a good amount of force, making it seemingly shatter like glass.
1D20(9)+str(6)+pickaxe(5)=20<25 fail
As Raisuke went to look through the rubble he didn't really see anything. As he kicked the rocks around and searched he got a little annoyed. There was nothing in that rubble. So he would rear back and swing at the next one. His axe getting stuck in the wall. "Son of a b***h.." He would give off a slight sigh. It was annoying him already. He had a slight anger problem as of late. Oh well. It happens, unfortunately.

Amaya strolled along towards the mouth of one of many of the small cave openings alongside the Aniki Mountains. Everyone had known them best for the herbs that grew here, but who would have though that there was actually precious minerals to be mined from inside? Apparently there use to be at one point, since the area looked as if it use to be quiet popular. She wasn't one to really enjoy the destruction of the enviornment for cash value, but honestly, what other good would ore and other such metals do for anything stuck in a mountain? With a shrug to her own thoughts, Amaya shoved the pick axe that rested on her shoulder up into the air and into her hands. She knew the air could get stuffy and tight surrounded by rock, so she pulled her mask down to rest under chin before stepping inside.
Old rickety signs lead the wall to where previous miners had abandoned their search. The first wall stood unbothered and solid before her. "We'll see about that." Gripping the handle of the axe tightly, the tool was hoisted into the air and the sharp end of it was chucked into the wall.

The hit seemed to have done nothing at first, but moments later a series of cracks stretched through out the wall. Amaya huffed a snort, displeased that the wall didn't break from a single strike, but the bright side of that could be that this seemingly menial task might actually be a decent work out. She closed the distance between her and the wall then, turning the axe to the blunted wooden end. With a solid thrust, the end of the axe was shoved hard into the wall to finish off the job.

Amaya took a few steps away as the wall crumpled into a pile of debris. She held up her forearm to protect her eyes, then stepped forward once the dust setteled. She lowered herself to one knee, pushing a few of the chunks of rock about to see if anything good had been inside of it; it didn't seem so. With an indifferent grunt, Amaya got back to her feet and looked ahead to the next solid hunk of rock. A small smrik inched along her lips as she gripped the proper end of her axe. The first wall had stood up well to her, but this next one was going to fall first go for sure. Using the bit of leg room between herself and the wall, she had a good few steps to gain momentum before striking the wall with the sharpened head of the axe.

The eager young genin had been right about one thing. The 2nd wall didn't stand a chance to her strength, but it was determined to take her down with it. The moment the force of her axe connected, hunks of rock immediately pummeled her until she found herself buried under a pile. She was fine of course, give or take a few lumps, but a sudden rush overcame her and all she wanted was to breath real air again. As fast as she could, Amaya dug herself out of the pile of rock and hurried back out of the cave. She leaned over taking deep breathes, her hands holding up her weight on her knees.
What on earth had caused her to freak out just then? She was pretty sure there wasn't much she was afraid off, especially not any old rocks. But then the answer hit her like a smack to the face. Being buried under all of that rock was the closest she had been to reliving the experience of her accident all those years ago. Her hands tightened to fists and Amaya immediately stood to her full height. A slow sigh escaped her and she laid her pick-axe to rest on her shoulder again, allowing her eyes to wander aimlessly. That was when she saw it. An old sign hidden behind a dying tree. Curiosity overwhelming her, she went to give it a look. Naturally it was a warning to be careful and avoid collapsing walls. The girl rolled her eyes, but continued to read the rest. Just a few tips on how to get the best out of your mining area before it wasn't any good anymore. Hadn't they explained all of this when they gave her the pick-axe? Probably. That's what she got for not paying any attention.
She appreciated the information the sign gave her and turned to re-enter the cave. The mudslide incident had happened long enough ago and she refused to have any weaknesses from it. Once she'd found her way back to the last collapsed wall, Amaya approached the rock with a different perspective. Lifting the axe from her shoulder, she gave a hack or two into the wall, not really intending to destroy it in one go, but instead looking to see what treasures could be nestled in the stone before it gave way to her chipping.

As the smaller chunks of rock were chipped away from its source, Amaya narrowed her eyes at a particular glint seen in a hole. She blinked once then chipped lightly at the rock, using her hands to dig the rest of the way. When she pulled her hand back, in it rested a sample of silver ore. Amaya smiled, brushing off the dirt a bit more before slipping the ore into the little pouch tied to her waist. There didn't look to be much left of this wall to offer, but she continued anyway, intrigued by the thought of finding more treasures.

Another silver ore piece was found in the wall before Amaya declared it useless. It looked ready to give up any moment now and just lay itself to rest on the floor with the other she had clobbered. That to was stashed in the pouch at her waist and she moved on to pick at another slab of rock. One didn't have to go far to find another wall of rock in a cave though. She rested a flat palm against her new work area then knocked against it roughly. She really wasn't sure what that was suppose to do for her, but it seemed like an appropriate thing to do before sinking the tip of her pick axe into the stone.

Random Weekly Event
1) Rock slide frenzy: Something has caused a massive rock slide on (insert mountain name). This isn't really something that bad but due to the change in topography from the war with the Earth Master, a path has been cut right to the village. Stop the rocks from hitting the village and stop them at their source. There's rumor of a pretty nice vein of gold in that section of the mountain. Maybe you'll find something.
Rules: User must stop the stones using one of three methods. A-Destroy the rocks with Taijutsu -Must destroy 10 stones or more each with a DC starting at 20(1D20+str mod). Multiple rolls are allowed to reach the desired DC for a rock so long as you have enough attack turns. You may add up your Taijutsu rolls for one post to equal the DC asked of your class. Gennin DC - 20 Chunnin DC - 30 Jounin DC - 60 ANBU DC - 70 Kage DC - 120
B-Build a trench/hole to hold the rocks-Must big a trench to hold 10 stones or more. The trench has a starting DC of 100(1D20+craft device skill). The player can add multiple rolls in separate posts to gain the required DC. Each post can only have as many rolls as the character has attack posts. Gennin DC - 100 Chunnin DC - 120 Jounin DC - 160 ANBU DC - 170 Kage DC - 250
C-Construct a barrier to stop the stones- Construct a barrier to stop the force of 10 or more stones falling right towards it. The barrier has a starting DC of 100(1D20+craft device skill) within 10 posts. The player can add multiple rolls in separate posts to gain the required DC. Each post can only have as many rolls as the character has attack posts. Gennin DC - 100 Chunnin DC - 120 Jounin DC - 160 ANBU DC - 170 Kage DC - 250
Other: If option C cannot be completed in 10 posts, you may choose another method and restart the exercise. One point will be deducted from your exp if you switch methods.
Restrictions: No Ninjutsu or Genjutsu allowed
Special: If, after completing the above exercise, you wish to attempt the gold rush, only the person that reaches it in the least amount of posts (shortest time basically) wins it. DC for climb starts at 200(1D20 + str. mod) with no post limit. *Every other post for this side quest, the user must either avoid or destroy a boulder that rolls towards them. The boulder DC for dodging and destroying starts at 20 and increases by 5 for each new boulder. Dodge(1D20+tumble skill) Attack(1D20+str mod)
