Louise hugged him tightly and called to the wolf, and she turned her back to the forest, when something lept out at her slamming her on the back. She dropped Joey and fell
The thing growled in delight and looked at the fallen elf, and then at the boy
"One for my dinner, one for my master"
Louise looked at Joey
"Joey run now!"

The thing turned on the boy and stomped it's way across the river, bending down to pick the boy up
Louise jumped to her feet as the wolf lept at the thing which just wacked the wolf away still bending down to pick Joey up
"Joey move now!"

The thing suttered back and struggled to get rid of a staff that had locked itself around its chest
Louise looked at Joey
"Joey, take wolf and run now!"

Joey told wolf to come with him in Elvish and ran off north for about a mile and stopped to take a break
