Thankies much Kiki (can I call you that?). And wow, a 2 day migraine AND writers block. O_o Your kinda officially screwed then. Just reply when you can. biggrin Ok, this is my last post until I get back, so I guess I shall see you guys later! ^_^
Kia blinks, sitting back a bit and just stares at the woman, Kanshin, as she enthusiastically introduced herself. 'So she's from Cloud tribe....wherever that is......' she ponders. 'And she likes beans in her soup? Ewww......' Kia makes a face to herself while Kanshin and Kikyo exchange a brief arguement before the new woman turns her attention back to the girl. At her last question, Kia cocked her head for a moment, then smiles, habitually reaching behind her to cling the waist white scarf that hung from her neck.
"I am Kia Meichi......." she begins, then gets stuck, a look of frustration on her face.
She didn't really know a way of telling the woman where she was from; her tribe didn't really have a name, though her people did, and that little detail made things quite difficult for her. The child thinks for only a moment longer before giving up.
"I am from far away. VERY far away." she concludes finally, blinking at the woman curiously. "Are you a Donsha, Obnoxious Lady?" she asks, realizing that this woman reminded the girl of a seperate tribe of peoples, calling themselves Donsha, who, when she last visited, had similar canine-ish habits to the woman before her.

((Sure thing. Most people call me that. Actually, I get called all sorts of things. Some one actually tried calling me Anikin yesterday. xd ))
The answer Kia gave was satisfactory by Kanshin's standards. She never reallygot many answers, so she was thankful for what she got. "Nice to meet you Kia~!" Of course, the Obnoxious Lady part was unheard by Kanshin...
But Kikyo heard loud and clear. She turned to glare full on at Kia, pointing one of the knives she'd used to cut the food with at her. "That wasn't nice to call my best friend. You better pray like hell that Hido doesn't hear you saying stuff like that unless you want to get in serious trouble, you hear me? That man knows how to use your own shadow to strangle the life out of you, and he may if you make Kanshin upset."
Kanshin turned to Kikyo before gently tking the utensil turned weapon away from her and going to the sink to wash it off. "Kikyo-sempai, please calm down. Hido-kun isn't so heartless. Besides, I didn't hear anything wrong with what she said. But, yes, it might be a good idea to be nice to me. Hido-kun is very protective over me." Once the knife was clean she put it away and got the ingredients to make the red bean soup. She then went over to a seperate spot on the stove and started cooking the food so everything would finish at once. "Kikyo-sempai, you should go easy on Kia-chan. She is still pretty young..."
Kikyo huffed, going back to cooking before lightly bonking Kanshin on the back of the head. "Baka. Sweet, but utterly stupid. Man, you're gonna spoil your kids rotten, Momma Kanshin."
Kanshin blushed bright red and jumped away from Kikyo a little. "W-W-WHA?! Uh, umm, uh, I, uh, K-Kikyo-s-sempai!" She watched as Kikyo laughed at her and sighed. "You're so mean to me." She then thought over something. She had missed one of Kia's questions. She turned and shook her head. "No. I'm from Enkou clan. We control fire, heat, and the sun. I'm gonna be blind one day from being able to do such stuff, but it's ok. I don't mind. It'll be a long time before that happens~!"
Kikyo sighed and shook her head. "I don't know how you can know that you'll lose being able to see and still be as cheerful as you are. I wouldn't be able to do it..."

Hido returned her quick kiss, the feel of her lips lingering upon his for a moment as she ran off, leaving him smiling even as he stood. He had known they were here though the curious nature of Kanshin would leave her wanting to see what was going on. As he approached the created kitchen of the mansion he stopped listening for a moment and smirking as he pushed open the door, walking in. "Do you really think of me as that cruel Kikyo? I'm insulted." He joked rolling his eyes and chuckling. He walked over to Kanshin, leaning down to kiss her softly on the neck before standing again and turning to look at the new girl. He let his own superior vectors roll out of his back, ten arms of chakra forming and reaching out quickly to lift the new girls head slightly. Hido looked at her for a moment before shrugging and letting her go.

Kanshin blushed as she felt Hido's lips against her neck and turned, smiling brightly as she dropped the start of the soup (which Kikyo managed to catch) and jumped at him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and giggled as she hugged him. "Hido-kun~!"
Kikyo rolled her eyes as she used that last free vector to continue what Kanshin started. Soon, all the food was finished and she moved it over to a table. "You know damn well my felings on you, you demented a** hole. Like I said, I wouldn't be on What's-his-name's bad side if you hadn't been helping Gear to invade my home."
Kanshin looked over to Kikyo and pouted. "You're still mad at Hido-kun over that But it's been such a long time ago... What were you planning on doing to get Haven back, any ways? You weren't planning on invading Gear, were you?"
Kikyo rolled her eyes as the last of the food was set in place and she went to get plates and silver wear before going to set the table, allowing her vectors to disapear. "Pft. That's suicidal. No way in hell am I gonna try that. Besides, I doubt that I'll have the power I have now forever. It'll come to bite me soon." Once everything was in place, she sat down and looked to Kia. "Well, kid, looks like the Shadow King approves. Welcome to Hell."
Kanshin gave Hido a quick kiss before oing to the table and getting a bowl and started serving herself of the red bean soup, knowing most of the group might not chose to have as much as she knew she'd want. "Don't listen to Kikyo-sempai. She doesn't like Hido because he's "evil," and she was raised to kill any one that is a rouge since the day she was born. Kikyo-sempai's just stuborn when it comes to things her daddy tought her. If her daddy told her it, then it's true in her oppinion."
Kikyo snagged a few dumplings and piled some fried rice and teriyaki chiken onto her plate before she shoved a hole dumpling into her mouth. "Mmm ather wa a grea mn. He knw hi stff."
Kanshin smiled and sweat dropped a little. "Kikyo-sempai, you really shouldn't talk with your mouth full..."

I'm back!! Yay! Ya'll missed me, right? ^^ Eh....probably not. Whatever then....rp time! <-is hyper to finally be home agian. ^_^
Kia smiles up at Kanshin, thankful that the woman had warmed up to her so quickly, even quicker than Kikyo had. She lets out a little laugh, but it stops utterbly at the later woman's warning, and she tries to keep the obvious confusion off of her face. Of course, that effort went to waste, seeing as that Kikyo and the Obnoxious Lady hit off another argument and turned thier backs away from the girl. Convinced that they did not want her hanging around, Kia was about to turn to explore this part of the hut when Obnoxious Lady caught her attention agian, answering the question Kia had forgotten that she had asked, and though the girl was happy that the woman bothered to answer her, the answer itself gave even more questions for Kia to ask. It was just about that moment when she heard someone comming from where Obnoxious Lady had come from, and a strange, dark haired, man stepped into the room, immediately ghosting over to the second woman and latching on to her like they were physically attached, an action that Kia found akaward, taboo, and unnessesary. The girl blinks, trying to decifer the alien action when she jumps, the man's attention turning to her, a strange something caressing her head. She froze, unsure of what the thing touching her was, though she thought it was the same thing as Kikyo's strange tentecal's that came out of her, and the child didn't wish to upset such a visibly strong person. But the man seemed undetured by her reaction and, after a few seconds, let her go. 'Thank gods....' she breathed greatfully, slightly catching Obnoxious Lady calling him Hido...Nido...or something like that. She also caught Kikyo's unnerved reaction as she went back to finishing the food, and Kia couldn't help but wonder what some of the words the woman spoke ment. To be more detailed, the particuarlly bad words, course the child had no idea that they were supposively bad. Much of the following conversation was lost on her, and the girl was elated when she realized that the food was finally finished. Her stomach growled hungerly from where she stood looking over the meal, but she didn't touch it. It was a custom that childeren wait for thier parents or guardians to either 1)finish eating before they could eat, or 2)give them permission to eat. Kikyo, Obnoxious Lady, and the man....Hindo whatever (she still hadn't quite caught his name as of yet) were not her parents, or her guardians for that matter, but the girl felt that that was no excuse to show bad manners and upset the three people who had graciously let her into thier party. So for this, Kia showed them, mainly Kikyo as she was the first one to find her, her upmost respect.

Hido smiled as Kanshin affectionately tackled him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "Hello there." He said softly at her kiss as she let go, going to start eating. Hido only looked at Kikyo, listening to her comments, and merely chuckled shaking his head. "You know I would of helped you with the whole you turning evil situation if you had only asked." He said, smirking before walking over to the table as well. He made a slight wave of his hand, before sitting back as a chair of translucent black crystal formed beneath him. He looked at Kikyo and Kanshin as they started talking again and chuckled, thinking for a moment. "Hmmm, The Shadow King, I kind of like that. And yes Kikyo tends to hate me, but theres nothing either of us can do about each others unwanted company." He said simply, shrugging as he leaned over to kiss Kanshin on the cheek. "Isn't that right Kanshin." He said smiling.

Kanshin was about to scoop some of the soup into her mouth when she caught note of Kia staying where she had been placed. She sat the spoon back into the bowl and tilted her head before looking to Kikyo and tappig her arm before leaning in to whisper to her. "Kikyo-sempai, invite her to come to eat with us."
Kikyo leaned in when she felt her arm tapped and listened to Kanshin with an indifferent look on her face. To her, it was odd how some cultures were, but Kanshin, being strange herself, would probably know why Kia was still in the spot Kikyo put her. That said, Kikyo sat back up and used on of her vectors to pick Kia up and plop her down in a chair careful enough so that she wouldn't get hurt. "Go on. You're the one making all that noise, and yet Kanshin and I are the ones eating."

Kia blinks in surprise as she is suddenly lifted by Kikyo's mysterious tentecals, though she should be used to such a strange action by now, and is placed in a chair. The girl smiled, taking the woman's reaction as an invintation and happily makes her plate, staring larged eyed at the food before her, assessing each carefully, as if she fully intended on memorizing ever aspect of it. After her close, curiosity fulled-inspection, she raises a spoonfull of red bean soup, sniffing it one more time, then puts it in her mouth. A second passes, then her eyes light up light stars.
"This is so GOOD!" she cries, then hungerly drinks the rest of her soup quicker than lightning, placing the empty bowl back down on the table before anyone could even comment.
The girl brushes her mouth with her arm and grins at Obnoxious Lady, features bright.
"That was yummy! I see why you like this so much!" the girl giggles.

Kanshin smiled to Hido and rubbed the back of her neck. "You dont honestly believe you too hate each other, do you?"
Kikyo burst out laughing at Kanshin before wiping a tear out of her eye. "Trust me! If it weren't for you, we'd both be trying to kill each other by now! In fact, I would have been telling you not to eat the food. But, being a respectable person (when I want to be), there is no need for me to be saying such a thing."
Kanshin rubbed the back of her neck before sighing. "And here I thought you two had finally made progress... I really would like it if you two got along by the time Hido and I got married...."
Kikyo started acting like she was choking t that before waving her hand off. "Not at the table. I don't wona hear about that. And Hido, I am not evil. I'm quite the opposite. So shut the hell up, b*****d. I dont need your help. You've helped me quite enough."
Kanshin sighed and shook her head. "Shouldn't you, you know, try sensoring yourself a little more, Kikyo-sempai?" She looked to Kia and smiled with a slight giggle. "It is good, isn't it. You're supposed to only eat it on specail occassions, but I don't like waiting that long."

Hido looked at Kanshin, smiling at her comfortably before shaking his head and adopting a simple smirk. "If you want me to, I'll try. As a sort of wedding gift I will ignore Kikyo's comments, more than I do now that is, and attempt to get along with her." He said, emphasizing the word wedding just to spite Kikyo despite his declaration. "But besides that, I helped you plenty Kikyo, don't you remember that time I was in your village, when it was getting taken over, I obviously was there to make sure no one died, and I think I did a mighty fine job of it as well." He said sarcastically before looking over the food before them. He shook his head at the large amount of meat and pressed his hands together twice forming a handseal. Upon the completion of this seal two small bushes of berries, a vine of grapes and strawberries, and a small bushel of assorted vegetables seemed to grow out of the table itself, providing even more food for the group to enjoy. He reached forward, plucking a strawberry from it's perch and placed it in his mouth, biting down and enjoying the deep red, sweet juices.

The girl smiled happily up at Obnoxious Lady, slightly pondering over the new fact she just learned, and dives eagerly into the rest of her food, loving every bit of it. She purrs as she quickly finishes everything off, listening to the conversations around her and plucking fruit from the vines that just randomly sprouted on the table.

Kanshin smiled lightly, happy with what Hido had said. "I'm so glad that you'll get along with Kikyo-sempai~! After all, you're both so important to me~!"
Since Kanshin's back was turned to Kikyo, Kikyo gripping her neck as though she was choking on something or that she would be sick. As soon as Kanshin started to turn, she instantly sat up straight and put a straight face on. "Yeah yeah. I'll try. No promises. And I told you that the food's safe." Kikyo looked over to Kia. "Are you enjoying the food?"

Hido nodded, rolling his eyes at Kikyo's reaction and poked Kanshin in the side for a moment chuckling. "Of course, and actually I do have some business to attend to now that I think about it... would you like to come? Any of you? It shouldn't be dangerous, I just need to talk to an associate of mine and sort some issues out, you may be highly enlightened Kikyo, it would do you good to tag along." He said chuckling and standing. He looked around waiting for the peoples responses and started to prepare himself for travel, his wings erupting from his back in a flurry of feathers with a sound like cracking bones. Two white wings, Two black wings like a twisted angel of death.

Kanshin giggled when Hido poked her side before leaning over and hugging his neck. "Of course I want to go with you, Hido-kun~!" She smiled and giggled lightly, glad that Hido wanted her to come along with yet another important business.
Kikyo narrowed her eyes at Hido untrustingly before she finished off the last of the food she'd made. On one side, he could be telling the truth and it would be completely innocent, but on the other hand, this was Hido. Enough said. Still.... This was tempting. She looked to Kia. "Up kid. We're going with them." She stood up and crossed her arms. "I don't need you carrying me. I can just as easily run heir on my own with out your help, thank you."
Kanshin looked to Kikyo and sighed, still smiling though. "Kikyo-sempai, you're so stuborn. But at least we're all going together~!"

To say the least, Kia was stuffing her face. Of course, looking at what she had been through the past few months, living off nothing but leaves and the occasional small rodent (she didn't dare to try some of the berries or fruits here lest they be toxic), and then having to file through garbage, anyone would react the way she did, especially if that someone was as hungry and unworried over dignity as she was. The girl smiled, her tiny mouth full of food, and nodded enthusiastically at Kikyo's question. 'Im more than just enjoying the food!' she sings in her head happily, content. Her ears habitually trained themselves to tune into Herdo's conversation, and the child perks up at his invintation, curiosity and excitement rising in her. Kia's eyes immediatly side glance at Kikyo, and the girl said a quick prayer to the gods for the woman to ask her to come. And her prayer was answered almost instantly, and the child could have hugged the woman, though in the end, she thought better of it.
"Thank you!" Kia says, finishing the rest of her dinner before standing. "I am privaliged to travel with you!"
The girl grins and shows her gratitude by thanking the trio with her native motion (placing her arms one ontop of the other in front of her, making a little clap, then immediatly sliding them so that her palms touched).
