Zolx pulled out the charm he had acquired from Kairi and latched. The baton smoldered with black flames as it grew. Zolx felt hundred of tiny needles all over his body. He pointed the changing baton straight up, a two balls of light orbiting each other shot from the tip and started sailing around.
The Key Zolx now had was in all respects quite different from Kairi's. Instead of brightly colored flowered gather in the shape of a key, it was dark, jagged, and- "A b*****d Sword? What ever."
Zolx jumped at Genkoku, aiming to smash him over the head with it. Having not ever used something this size before he was having a hard time hold the damn thing steady.

((Sorry for not posting, I was busy over the weekend.))
Genkoku flew back above them, then rolled himself into a perfect sphere. He started spinning, and all of the magic attack effects they had thrown at him flew off, some towards him, namely the tar. He stood up again (in the air) and laughed, "This is far too easy. You seem to be forgetting yourselves, and maybe me. I'm far stronger than that weakling you faced at the train station. But come on, surely one of you has a real weapon?"

Kiante knew they were in a bind. He noticed something else there though. He couldn't see it, nor hear it, but he could just...sense it. Something helpful. He didn't think the demon had noticed yet. That was good.
He decided he could maybe buy them some time. He jumped betweeen two trees, climbing near the top. It put him only a bit lower than the demon. He jumped at it, slashing towards his torso.

Genkoku swiftly deflected Kiante's attack, then grabbed the boy's neck before he could hit the ground. The boy squirmed, trying to pull himself up to get a breath, but he could barely inhale. Genkoku smiled, he had always enjoyed watching humans suffer. "Boy, why do you play with me? You think that joke of a sword could even touch me? Why did you hold back?"

Kiante pulled up a bit and gasped in air, "Because..." He had to get get another breath, "I wasn't ready. Now...I am." He said. He quit squirming, and held his right arm stretched out. Suddenly, a Keyblade appeared in a flash of light. It looked as if it was made of white gold, and strangely, the design seemed reminiscent of Sora's necklace. He wasn't sure why. But he knew, this was HIS power. And it may not be able to kill the demon, but it'll buy the others some time. And he had to protect them. Nothing was more important, he had to protect his friends. He swung at the demon's side.

Genkoku smiled even broader, "Finally one of you will show his true power." Genkoku let the boy drop, before the blade could touch him. "But it's still not enough." He said mockingly.

Carefully Hagosha reached out and touched one of the ugly scars on Kya's wrist. It writhed and faded a little.
"I'll help you, and then we have to help the keyblade bearers and the other humans. Just...you have to remember fully what it was like before...the tiniest bit of your heart was almost taken by the darkness. Even angels are not invincible. Just concentrate on fully purifying your heart, so we can help the other princess regain herself."
He put his hand firmly on her shoulder to lend support.

With one last glance around, Mickey called out, "Come on, everyone!" He lunged forward at the demon, panicking, not wanting Kiante to be hurt...after he had brought him into this...
And then he saw the weapon that appeared in the boy's hand. He nodded to himself, smiling. Well, he guessed, maybe it had been meant to be...
He then stepped next to Kiante and nodded at him. "Congratulations," he said simply, and then, "Shall we?" before he hurried in to try and hit the demon with his weapon of light, though his head was pounding with the effort of resisting the strong presence of darkness.

Akiko let out a cry of frustration. Was she the only useless one? Even Kiante...it had been him all along who had gotten the keyblade...
Well, how could she think that when he had just been dangling above them all getting the life choked out of him?
It was shock, she told herself. She just couldn't believe this danger was that real...
With all her might she focused on the very strongest spell she could come up with...trying to get her mind on one subject...but it kept flitting around and around...
((Sorry, it's been literally years since I stretched my creativity this much...you have no idea...this was exhausting...gah...it took me so long jsut to do this lol))

"To be honest i haven't the slightest idea. But! I'm going to go out on a limb and say all those flashes and loud noises coming from the Forest are a good sign that the others found something."
Sora took a few steps forward then turned back to Kairi. he offered his hand to her, "We'll go together, right?" he said smiling.

She smiled at him one last time like she used to before their adventures began and when they rejoined. It was long before they reached the cause of the commotion.
"Wh-what's going on?!" Kairi asked, her smile disappearing almost instantly.

Kiante nodded towards the king with a smirk. Outwardly he looked serious, focused. Inwardly, it was different, 'I'm fighting with the King! AWESOME!!!' He thought.
As he again jumped at the demon along with the king, he noticed something though. As of yet, the demon wasn't affecting him inwardly. As the thought struck him, he hesistated a bit, and was rewarded by being hit down again by Genkoku.

Genkoku wasn't laughing anymore. They were finally fighting back. He parried Mickey's attack just before he threw Kiante back to the ground. He cringed a bit afterwards, he'd made a mistake, by throwing him next to the girl with the staff. He decided it wouldn't matter much though, he still wasn't strong enough.

Kiante did a flip so he could land on his feet, right next to Akiko. He looked at her, "Don't try so hard. Follow your heart, it'll lead you through the fight." He said, trying to encourage her. Then he ran back to where he could reach the demon.

((Hey, guys, congrats...we're about halfway through the RP. wink ))
Akiko couldn't repress the appreciative smile, taking her by surprise. Well, the words had meaning. He didn't think she was useless...so it was about time she stopped griping.
She nodded but spontaneously cast a little Cure spell on him as he jumped back into the fray. Who could say if he needed it or not? It was maddening without that nifty green bar to aid her...what if someone fell before she realized they needed help? Wouldn't hurt to be a little extra-careful, would it?
That's it, Akiko decided. I'll stick to healing now...of course being reckless might not be so great for my...um...MP or whatever, but...who cares? I've gotta do something, and obviously my offenses aren't as good as I thought...no, wait, isn't there some good spell that would work against this guy?
Tentatively she called out some reassurance. "Hang in there, guys!"
She stepped back and cast another small spell on the King. Now...how was she supposed to follow her heart...she didn't even know how to tell what it was saying...

"Stay on your guard, Kiante," the King muttered, preparing a flurry of attack combos to use on the being of darkness.

Hagosha frowned. The chains of memory he needed to bring to the light were hidden very, very deep...deep inside the darkness. Still, he merely concentrated harder on finding them.

Kya thought hard, clearing her mind, as another of her scars dissapeared. "I was killed before I was ever born, as a human..." She said another dissapearing. "and I never quite made it back to being an angel.... because.... Because I was knocked so far out I couldn't get back..." She said calmly holding her head in pain.

"Thanks!" Kiante called back to Akiko as she cast Cure on him. It gave him a new surge of energy.
He replied to the King, "I always am." with a smirk.
He decided to try something a bit more creative now, he threw his Keyblade through the air, straight at Genkoku.

Genkoku parried most of the King's attacks, but was struck by one. The mouse-king was fast. And his weapon...it actually left a wound! A small one, but nonetheless, it wasn't something Genkoku was used to.
He flipped over Kiante's throw, but, not expecting it to come back like that, he was struck in the back. Still, only a small wound, mostly it diffused through his body.
"That's right, kill me. Then, my goal will be complete!" He yelled.

Hagosha nodded and smiled. "Yes...yes, keep going," he urged her, having finally found the chain and started reeling it into the light of Kya's heart. "And where did you land? Who watched over you all those years you fought to stay pure and alive?"

Akiko beamed and assured everyone, "If you need it, shout for me!" Then she tried to cast a Blizzard spell on Genkoku while he was being attacked.
Something felt better about how she cast it this time...maybe it was a little teensy bit stronger? She still felt like there was a better spell to use...but what...?

Mickey grinned. He'd gotten an attack in...and it had done damage! This was a good sign. Maybe their fight wasn't so impossible after all...and Kiante, too. He nodded at the boy quickly in silent congratulations.
But what the demon said made him hesitate just a little bit. "What?" he asked, preparing to strike again, not ready to trust him but still afraid of the consequences he had alluded to.
