 I said you just don't know...Ooc://How bout we make it morning now...
Dawnflower yawned, and put her head down to sleep next to her kits. While she waited to drift off, she listened to her children breathing, feeling their chests rise and fall calmly. Slowly she fell asleep, knowing her kits were safe. ...how hard it is to not be by your side, every night.

Darkfoot woke slowly, shaking her sleepiness off. Mistycloud's kits! They might be born today! She walked over to the nursery, and mewed to Dawnflower, "Sorry it's early, but are your kits doing alright?"

Deserttail streched out her back and shook out her fur. She had walked over to her nest in the warrior's den after the apprentices greeted her with a cruel silence. Aw well, they'll have to forgive me sometime. She saw Darkfoot enter the medicine cat's den and decided to follow her to see what's up. I never really did know when to keep my nose out of other people's buisiness...

Mistycloud ignored the sharp pangs in her stomach and tried to go back to sleep. She sighed when the medicine cat came in and sat up. "I think I went into labor over night." She mewed struggling to a sitting position.

I said you just don't know... Dawnflower's eyes snapped open. Her kits still rested peacefully beside her. She pressed her nose into Copperkit's pelt, careful not to wake him, and checked his breathing. "Seems to me that Copperkit's breathing is normal. When he wakes, I will ask him how he feels." she pressed her nose against Amberkit, sniffing. "As does Amberkit, but I will have them visit you when they're awake." she promised, letting off a sudden yawn. ...how hard it is to not be by your side, every night.

Darkfoot glanced at Dawnflower. "Do that." She mewed, then turned back to Mistycloud. "Lay down then, for StarClan's sake!" She mewed, slightly annoyed.

Deserttail snapped to full awarness when she overheard that part of their conversation. She ran into the den as fast as her still asleep feet would take her. "What? Who's in labor? What's going on? Is she okay? Any problems? How can I help?"

Dawnflower hissed, forgetting about her children sleeping. "Out!" she yowled. She remembered when she was giving birth that she hated having other cats onlooking the scene. As a mother, she was doing what was in Mistycloud's best interest. "Unless you are Darkfoot or one of my kits, out with you!" she really didn't mean to sound so rude, but the nursery was crowded enough already.

Darkfoot looked at Deserttail. "Mistycloud's in labor. She's fine so far. Like Dawnflower said, just stay outside the nursery. We can't have it too crowded in here."

Deserttail nodded and ran out of the nursery as fast as she could. She started to pace outside of the nursery. What should I do? What should I do? "I know, I'll get Skyclaw!" She ran to the warrior's den and practically jumped on Skyclaw. "Skyclaw! Mistycloud's giving birth!"

Mistycloud nodded and settled back down slowly. "They'll be coming soon." She mewed shakily.
Skyclaw jumped up forcing Deserttail to the ground. "She's what?" He rushed from the den and into the nursery. "Is it true?" He asked his mate.
"Yes, now get out until it's over!" Mistycloud purred licking his cheek affectionately.
Skyclaw nodded and backed out of the nursery. He paced back and forth outside.

Darkfoot nodded, resting her tail on Mistycloud's head for a moment. "It'll be okay. It'll be okay." She looked at Skyclaw, then returned to Mistycloud.

Deserttail stood and shook her fur. I'll let that go because his mate's giving birth for the first time, but if he does it again, it'll be dawn patrols for a moon. She walked out of the den and started pacing alongside Skyclaw.

Mistycloud winced. "I think they're coming," She panted. "Now!"
Skyclaw glanced at Deserttail for moment before resuming his pacing.
