Back! I got some screenshots of the Maya files. Most are WIP, so not really completed. Usually I model, and my partner (who I'm now dating, ahha!) rigs and animates. We work well together. OC Dawn as 3DDawn's MeshAcademetteSeapig (Monster)I'm self taught thus far from online tutorials, 1 book, and then just a lot of messing around. Dawn was my 2nd 3D character, Academette 3rd, Seapig 4th. I'm still really new. My Maya modeling class will start in January and last until March, and then the animation class starts in March and goes until June. biggrin I am excited. I love modeling in Maya!

Also, if you wanna laugh at my voice, here is a video I did for work that explains how I built Dawn's hair and then added transparency. My Videos!They're kind of lame, but whatever. Soon I am making a tutorial that will explain how to use Maya, so when I'm done then maybe I can show it to people. razz

(we didn't have to create the movement for the animation, there were finished movements in the "library section" of 3ds max. I feel like this explanation is really not going to be understandable, but what i'm trying to ask is smile do you have to create character moves out of nowhere, are there any moves ready? the whole animation thing was quite tiring and difficult, character modeling (and scene! ) was much more interesting.
awwh i'm envious you're having more 3D = u = <3 i have Blender installed here but i haven't done much with it. i feel like i got to go to the start on 3d because of the layout differencies in these two programs (max and Blender)..
i took a quick look at your works they look so good~ *O* i'll take a better look when dA loads image properly, it's taking too long = A =
my character looks so rough compared to the one in your video ~ the face for example = o = ahgh we're having just photography and it really kills the motivation because of the teacher... i'm glad the course ends tomorrow!

We don't touch 3D Max, learning only Maya, but I don't mind that so much. There is a Motion Capture rig that our school has that has about 200 pre-animated motions on it, but we learn how to do our own really. It's rough, but fun to learn. I only know modeling currently, and a few basic animation skills. I hand my work to someone else who places it in game. I don't know how to render out animations currently.. sad

^_^ you're definitely good. Way better than me. Dx no one even want's my art. ^_^ so I spend my time between games and looking at other people's art.
May I ask if you'd please draw my avi, as well? ^_^ I won't be changing it for a while, until I get spartan cloak. Dx that's a long ways off. I'll do a trade, if you'd like, or if you'd rather not that's okay too. ^_^

I started drawing by copying Sailor Moon, and i did show my drawings to my friends like "aren't this gooood? XD" and they didn't say anything negative so i think i had an easy start? I also copied a lot of pages from "How to draw manga" book website. Okay ^^ Trade sounds good! You can draw me, but don't draw the scarf~ it's covering half of the avatar ; o ;
and can you draw me so the hair style would show more (like in the signature i have) :3 thanks~ and you're not bad~ <3

Frick yeah Sailor Moon!!! I love Sailor Mercury hardcore. My roommates and I have SM marathons.
How about my current avvie? I'll keep it this way for a while. You can ditch the sword if it's too difficult to draw.
