Now gasping for breath, the restless ninja stood in the midst of battle. Defending all that he held deer, and all the must receive justice stood above him. Looming in the blackening night. Raine squinted up. "You're going down tree." The ninja said this with such furosity and heartlessness, that his enemy shivered with fright (Or maybe the wind). Releasing some of it's last defenses, down at the boy. Who hollered up, closing his eyes and spinning around. "SUPER AWESOME NO JUTSU!" he flung his hands around in a flurry so quickly and randomly that he managed to hit absolutely none of the falling leaves.

"Ha tree! I was just letting some of your legions live, so that they might run and tell the tale of the greatest battle ever!" Raine covered himself, falling into his owns fibs completely still staring up at the tree, who stood silently in an ominous pose glaring down at the boy. "Psth, yeah right you're going to win this!" Raine snatched out at a leaf, catching it oddly between his fingers, before dropping it and lashing out and three more leave coming down. He ran across the water, diving to catch the leaves before the hit the surface of his kingdoms. The small boy laughed uncontrollably as he last heis footing and landing in the water, still kicking up at the leaves falling around him.

Raine pulled himself from the water quickly, to catch the leaves that floated dangerously close over the water surface he couldn't help but giggle as he snatched them. Slowly rising as he caught his footing and his bearing. Taking a stance quickly, he would be more sturdy and could more easily maneuver around his battle field. There were less leaves now, and the game had grown solemn and slow, yet a few leaves still toppled down every now and again. The small boy catching all of them in his palm as they came.

Raine caught the leaves that came more slowly now, lightly shitfting from side to side as they came sometimes he would have to scurry to catch one that he didn't noticed. But now he was lost in his thoughts. He couldn't halp thinking of the last time that he had "played", shrugging to himself. He was too busy to play, too grown up. Doing real ninja things now, and yet, he missed how happy he was when he just played alone like he had. Being a real ninja wasn't fun at all sometimes, it was really hard and it really hurt a lot. He looked down at his body, his torso forever branded by the cruel heart of battle. The small boy held a pile now in his hands, the leaves filled both of his palm and he could no longer catch any more.

The small boy sighed, trhowing up his pile and letting them sprinkle down around him. They seemed slow now, before they had been untouchable, a fleeting dream as the danced in their own leaf ball. Quickly, Raine flicked his hand back, his feet falling in the silt as his muscles hardened, flicking forward his blade. Raine sliced out, in every direction. His movements a flicker, and yet he made them with such fines and precision that they seemed as if in slow motion. Soon every leaf that ha fallen was cut. And sinking into the water. There were no dancers anymore.

Raine put back his Aian Nakkurru, in a melancholy mood. Sifting into the deeper waters, the surface level ascended his legs until he was standing up to his knees in the fields. They didn't get much deeper than this and the cool beating of the tiny wind driver waves on his skin always calmed Raine. Looking down he spotted a small darting movement and smiled once more. Fish! He had loved to fish here with Heisei when he was little, in fact he didn't when he wasn't so little. But he hadn't had a crack at it since he had left for suna. He kneeled down watching the small animals flicker through the reed of the ride. Smiling once more, Raine lay his hands over the surface of the water, quickly shooting his fingers under the surface. Cupping his hands below the surface he grabbed a small fish , quickly pulling his hands form the water but making a little pool with his palm. The fish swam in his hands frantically before Raine lowered his hands once more and let the tiny fish free.

Raine laughed. He hadn't help a little fishy in so long. Thinking of Suna the small boy remembered he had found a little worm on the way back. Shoving his hand in his pocket Raine quickly found a small squishy, squirming thing. Pulling it out gently, Raine watched the thing squirm, with a delight that only children could have. Squinting down though he stopped. "What the?" this worm had a little face, with little teeth and everything, no to mention... little claws? Since when did worms have claws? He stared more closely now, and the little animal wiggled and squeaked. Raine laughed a bit, what a weird noise, than it squeaked again this time, more oddly. The boy leaned in, his hand coming to his ear.

"Stop it, please!"

Raine whipped back! "Ah what the?! It talked!"

"Hey don't call me it!"
the pinky worm squeked again, holding on to Raine's hand as he whipped around.

"Omg! What the hell!" Raine's eye widened, as the little thing seemed to look at him.

"Hey, come on please stop that!"
The little thing squealed before Raine flung it off! The creature toppled around in the air before making a small splash into the water, the surrounding fish sprinting away. All was quiet while Raine searched for the little thing, soon finding it sinking and squiggling for a second. The boy hesitated for a moment before reaching in and scooping the worm thing out of the water.

*Cough* *cough* "What was that for? I even said please."
The little thing sounded as if it's feelings were hurt and mumbled to itself, while Raine stared for a second in silence.

"Eh uh-"

"What you've never seen something that talks besides a human?"
The creature squeaked with an attitude. While Raine thought of snowmane.

"Well.... sure just never a worm." he shrugged. But the little worm burst into twirls and curls, flipping violently.

"I'm not a god-damn worm!" he stopped for a second, before tiny little sobs could be heard. Raine pulled him up to eye level.

"Hey look I'm sorry, but if you're not a worm what are you?" The little thing stopped and lifted his head.

"I'm an Ajolote. I'm my whole own species, and I"m not a stupid worm or a stupid lizard. I"m better than both!" He raised his little hands, and Raine couldn't help but smile.

"You are better than both. Definitely." The worm stopped.

"Wait-what? You-you really think so?"[/b] he looked up with little beady eyes.

"Sure thing you're way cooler than any old worm or lizard." Raine nodded. smiling.

The little worm looked down. "Well yeah. I am. But wow. You're really cool too. I mean who are you? I was in your pocket and you were rolling around and doing all this crazy stuff!"

Raine smiled, "Ha, yeah, sorry about that. My village sort of got attacked. But Um, I'm Tekkenseisai Raine!" He said with confidence.

The little worm thing nodded it's head. "Well, Raine. Thanks, for.. well thinking I was cool. I mean, don't tell nobody I said anything. And I'm Pi. Short for Piedra Ajolote."

Raine nodded, extending his finger to the little creature. Who reached up and touched with his own little claw. They nodded and smiled.

"Than we're friends now okay Pi? And just tell me if anybody thinks you're not the coolest I'll beat them up for you. I"m a full fledged ninja you know." Little Pi smiled and nodded. Happy once more.

"Well, I should probably tell you that I"m training for a really super awesome jutsu right now, and I've got to practice catching fish!" he stood up once more, holding little Pi in his hands he pointed down to the water. The ajolote leaned over his thumb.

"Ah you'll let them go right?"
he frowned down not wanting to see the little creatures die.

Raine smiled, "Yeah of course just watch!" he took Pi setting him on the inside of his pocket propping his little head over the edge of his pants so he could see. Before moving his feet calmly and finding a fish. His eyes narrowed and the boy flung down snatching the fish in his fist before pulling his hands a few inches out of the water and letting the small fish splash back in. Swimming away faster than either of them could see. Pi clapped his little hands.

"Ah very nice!"

Raine smiled down at the little creature. "Thanks. I'm practicing how quick I am so that I can be good enough to learn this really awesome jutsu."

Pi looked up as best he could to see the boy. "What's a jutsu?" the small worm-like creature would had lifted an eyebrow had he had them.

Raine cocked his head back, what an odd question now it seemed. "Well uh, It's really just a fighting move, sometimes it involves chakra and sometimes it involves just cool techniques. There are three types, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu." His hand lashed out and he grabbed a fish quickly, letting it go soon after. "Ninjutsu, is like using your chakra to make physical attacks. Like Our Kage. Kasuke, he uses his chakra in the wind to make attacks."

The little worm curled his body in the boy's pocket. "Really, I didn't know somebody could do that!"

Raine laughed. "Yeah, it's really cool I'll have to show you some time. I'm not really good at Ninjutsu, but I can make a clone and everything. Those are called bunshin." he flicked his wirst into the water, and pulled it out quickly reaveling an empty hand. "Eh. Well and than there is Genjutsu." Raine rolled his eyes at his, he couldn't even imagine trying to master one of those. Xen seemed more like that, to sneak into your mind and try and trick you out of a fight. "I think these are the cheapest kind because it's not real. It's just an illusion, and you can't figure out if it's really happening or something like that." Pi nodded slightly, making note in his tiny brain. "Yeah, I'm not too good at that either."

Pi laughed. "Well if you're no good at those than what are you good at!" Raine pursed his lips and shook his head in a joking disapproval.

"So not cool. But..." he shifted in the water quickly, firing his hands down faster than Pi would have been able to follow and than returned with a squirming fish.

Pi stopped, "The best at what?"

The boy flinched.... his eye twitching. "Well, being a ninja of course." he looked down to PI and shrugged.

The tiny ajolote wove his head, "Well, what does a ninja do?"

Raine laughed. "Jeeze, what did you come from a hole? Ninja's fight!" he laughed, but Pi was quiet.

"You know I did live in a hole. But besides that! Why would anybody want to fight? What's the point in that. I mean if you ask me that's a pretty weird dream. Wanting to be able to fight, I'd want to be able to do something good."

Raine stopped his fishing and stood up looking down at Pi. "Well, yeah it's for the greater good you know. Fighting to protect my village, the people I love. From bad people you know, who want to kill and bad stuff." he shrugged easily justifying what he thought he understood. The little worm wiggeled his head.

"K I guess that sounds cool." he pulled his head into Raine pocket for a few seconds before reappearing. "Geeze, it's cold in here. Why are you rolling around in the water anyway how is that gonna help you learn a jutsu thing." Raine smiled. Pulling his fists up in front of him. And stepping out into a fighting stance, wide and lowly set. He flung out a fish that evaded him quickly.

"Ah, well I need to be super quick so that I can get in close to my enemy and smash em really hard before they can block."

"Well, what does that have to do with a cool jutsu?" Pi asked after a moment of thinking it over, he clutched tightly to Raine's pants as he moved lunging at the fish, which constantly darted from his grasp before he could pull them up.

"Jeeze, you sure ask a lot of questions." Raine flicked water from his soaked hand, and looked down to his waist, the little ajolote pushing it's head up down ni his pocket gently as if wondering if he had asked something wrong. "Oh well um...don't feel bad or anything. It's just I never get asked these kind of questions. I don't want to tell anybody just yet what it is. But it's realy really powerful, and it's a jutsu that my old Sensei would have taught me."

Pi poked his head out of the pocket more,"Well than why isn't he teaching it to you?" the pink creature asked his big friend, who stopped looking down and the rippling water, his gaze staring back at him in the reflection. Pi sensed the feeling an whimpered to himself. But than Raine smiled, and pulled Pi out, crulling him around his finger.

"Cuase, I need to learn it myself. That's why." he smiled widely, clasping his eyes tightly and trying not to let the tears seep out in front of PI, who was now twirling and climbing on his finger. A flicker passed them both, Raine's eye shot.

"Hold on!" He curled Pi in his palm, who let out a little yelp as Raine snatched a fish from the water. Holding it just below the surface before letting it swim away.

"Ha, sorry about that."

"You know I think I'm actually getting good at this." Raine's hands hovered over the water, his feet gently swaying, his cautious movement following the small animals below, his fingers nearly breaking the surface hovering so closely.

Pi leaned over the boy's pants his body touched deep in the warmth of the drying pocket. Happy once more and content with his warmth and within the safety of a bigger friend, he watched with delight. As if this were all some fun game.

Raine blinked his arm snapping out and reaching forward, breaking into the cool surface and the resistance of the layer gloving his arm, below he cupped another small fish in his hand. For a few seconds he held it and felt the gentle tap of the fishes body against his fingers. He released the small animal and let it dart away.
