"Vans with hot tubs?" Malik asked in surprise, raising his eyebrows. "What would be the point of those, though? I mean, I know there are some kids who will do stuff in the back of their vans, so why would they need a hot tub to... um..." He trailed off, shrugging slightly. "Never mind. There must be something in that IV bag other than water." He glanced towards the needle in his arm.

Yugi silently excused himself from the room, going into the waiting area. He noticed Kawi pacing, and hugged her from behind. "Don't worry. I'm sure it'll be okay."

[Atem's more of a mental fretter.]

Yugi patted Kawi's back, biting his bottom lip. "They patched up Malik, Ishizu, and Ryou real nice, didn't they? Ember will be fine." He glanced over at his yami, who was staring fixedly at the ground, his elbows on his knees, his fingers entwining.

"Wonder why they don't seem to be working." Malik muttered, rubbing his temples. He knew that he had just taken the pill a few moments ago, and that they wouldn't kick in so soon.

Ryou closed his eyes, closed them tightly. He could ignore the pain, the blood, the gentle caresses every now and then. He wanted to die, just fade away right then. Nobody would miss him, he knew that. He had seen something different in Kira, he had noticed that Vadin and Bakura had acted oddly. He had heard the whispered words from the demon before the cold blade had touched his skin. He had felt Vadin reach into his pocket and remove the small item within, so small and yet so precious. He had allowed himself to be submissive, not fight back.

Yugi held on just as tightly to Kawi. The embarrassment he had felt earlier for what Marik had made him do had washed away, and now he could only feel what was happening now. Worry for Ember bubbled up inside of him, but he knew he had to be strong. Kawi was just as worried, probably more so. Yugi stroked Kawi's hair as he led her gently over to a bench, where the two of them could sit. "I can go get something if you'd like." He offered softly. "Coffee, aspirin, candy, you name it."

Malik nodded his head, raising one hand to tuck a lock of hair behind his ear. He noted that someone had removed the golden arm bands and other items he grew so fond of wearing; he would have to request that a nurse return them to him. "Hopefully." He remarked, relaxing against the pillows. He couldn't help but take in Kira's form. She was so beautiful... did she know that? Was Ryou aware of the treasure he had? A voice in the back of his mind cursed his silver-haired friend. Malik had to go back to Egypt-- it was unavoidable. And in that time, Kira had fallen for Ryou. He remembered a day, when he had found Kira hurt, the two had just cuddled in his place at Domino. It had been so nice... so peaceful. Wincing slightly, he also remembered Ryou. It had been then when the boy had rushed to them, the Millennium Eye forced into his socket. It had been so awful, he remembered the sympathy he had felt for Ryou. But he also hated Ryou for that. He had come in and just ruined the moment with Kira.

Kira smiled and got up and shut the blinds to it was darker in the room.Walking back over she tucked her own hair behind her ear.The milinum eye was now showing.She gently rubbed thatside of her face.The eye often caused her pain "do you rember were I set the other asprin?" she asked looking around "I lose little things so easly.." she then thought of somthing and laughed "I'd most lily losetheeye if it wasent in my head.." She then relised the first time malik had seen her with the eye was when they came to california and her hairhad been hiding it so he might not have seen it.

Kawi shook her head and rested her head on his shoulder "Im fine..thank you.."

Kira chuckled "I have it because khalid shoved it into my head saying I was destion for it..I dident realise you hadent see it,Yes I can use it properly and yes it often hurts like ason of a b***h.." she said "I think that covers itall.."

Kawi nodded and snuggled close to him.

"Eh like a year or two agian.I guess he was with shadi for a while.." kira said finding the asprin. She swalowed it and took a big gulp of water "that was nasty.."

"No clue.Yea just faided awayI guess..Or Khalid killed him.He has a habbit of doing that." Kira sighed softly leaning back in the chair.
