Crawleymang~ Lol you've already admited that tiers matter Omi. All of this stuff about "no it's not impossible because the apple pie burned my tongue" is just you trying to find something small in the arguement that you can argue against without refuting the real point. For christ's sake the argument's over! O.O They're all being pricks, not just Omi, Nihilistic. :/

Nihilistic_Impact Typhoon_Omi, your entire arguement boils down to the fact that not every thing is 100% provable. So stop being an a**, people can and will use terms that there is no chance of a low tier, like a mouse, beating a high tier, like a super ******** up mage whatever the hell you're using in comparison, because they are speaking in a general sense. You are being a p***k, hence why I told you to shut the ******** up. No, I said that everything is not 100% improbable. That's different. You stop interupting what's not your business, liek EL OH EL! I didn't come up with the two characters to be compared, Crawleeyyy did, so if you dislike the characters chosen, refer your bitching to him, please.
You are being an annoyance, hence why I told you with sarcasm masking it, shut the ******** up yourself. ^-^

Typhoon_Omi But I've yet to agree that any "tier" difference, regardless of how broad it is, can 100% gurantee a character's loss or victory in ANY SITUATION. You once again proved my pointe me is just you trying to find something small in the arguement that you can argue against without refuting the real point. And the real point was that tiers matter. You admitted they do. You lost the debate. Anything else you're talking about is irrelevant.

Losing an arguement is one thing, but do it with face, please. ;.; Just going "I ->, u wrong" is pretty bitchy. But, eh'. Arguement over, than.

Typhoon_Omi, the reason I'm attacking you is becaue you are the one persisting to carry on the arguement to such an absurd length that it is sophism.

Lemme get this straight Crowley. I've said the argument's over. Alot. You've said the argument's over. Alot. Then why have you not calmed down and moved on to more peaceful topics? Such as final Fantasy Seven or Johnny Knoxville? Bottom Line: You win, alright? So, in response to any further posts by any party on this matter:

Typhoon_Omi Wow. I'm stunned. Honestly, I am. I know. Cause you admitted we were right about tiers. Feel free to keep arguing about those 0.0001 chances. Seeing as how you think they are reliable.

Typhoon_Omi Skyburn Would you guys count something that shields someone from anything and can destroy anything that enters that shield, god-modding? Nah, course' not. One could merely cut the ground around the person's shield [providing they've no offense], and push the slab of flooring, slowly, out of the arena, then walk back to the arena place.
Victory by technicality, wee. That is not the point. If you can't be effected, it's god-modding.

Ah, so because I'm one of several whom argue in it, and my opinion happens to be different from the others, I'm the one to blame for it all?
Your logic kicks a**, TRAIN ME PLEASE! [Grabs you by the waist and bows to you.] crying

Typhoon_Omi Petty insults aside, yes, the mage can dodge or block it. But that does not mean he's guranteed the ability to do so, if things act right; he can't just go "OMFG I A MAAAGE I CAN BLOCK IMPENDING DOOM NOMATER WHUT". And if he's wounded and leaves? He still lost, didn't he? Yes, he IS guaranteed the ability to do so. Why? Because the tier system emphasizes equal SKILL - so that the ONLY difference between the two players is their characters. As such, anything in the environment the mouse's player notices, the mage's player would notice at the same time. Any plans the mouse comes up with would be thought up at about the same time by the mage, and even if that isn't the case the mage will still be able to figure out the mouse's intent from its actions. Quote: No. No, you cannot rule out interference. Sorry. Yes, we can rule out interference. Tiers only work for one-on-one battles. Typhoon_Omi That wasn't the point. If the mouse won, it'd get the money. Why would a tourney administration allow a being whom cannot think for itself in such a case to register, especially if the winning conditions are a monetary value the being would have to be able to spend? If it can't think for itself, then how could it win? rolleyes Quote: You took the situation from "omg the mage wuld pwn da mouuuuse anywhere", directly to the "omg well the mage CULDNT LUZE TO DA MOUSE IN AN ARENA THEN, WHERES UR RANDOM CHANCE NOW", to which, I argued, WHY THE ******** WOULD THE MOUSE BE IN THE ARENA? Because the mage teleported the mouse to the arena. Checkmate. Typhoon_Omi If we're talking JUST the fact that they are confronting one another, than the environment, interference, chance, perhaps arrogance on the mage's part can all play into the mage's eventual death. Wrong. For a mage to be high-tier, one must assume basic awareness of the environment, as well as better-than-average defensive or dodging abilities. Interference is NOT part of tiers, and chance is NOT part of roleplay in the degree you're bringing it to. Typhoon_Omi What if, for example, the mage DID KILL the low-tier mouse, which caused a demon that kept it as a "pet" to go into a berserk rage and hound the mage, killing the mage utterly? The low-tier mouse indirectly caused the mage's death, and thus, won. Who cares? This has absolutely nothing to do with the combat ability of the mouse. The scenario you described only shows that the mage is most likely a higher tier than the mouse and the demon is most likely a higher tier than the mage. The mouse and demon are unrelated as far as tiers are concerned. Typhoon_Omi I've agreed that tiers can influence a battle, and never disagreed with that. But I've yet to agree that any "tier" difference, regardless of how broad it is, can 100% gurantee a character's loss or victory in ANY SITUATION. Sorry, I won't. Kudos. End. There are unwinnable battles, battles in which one character is completely incapable of defeating the other character. Whether or not you can accept this is not my problem because I've been in them.

Skyburn That is not the point. If you can't be effected, it's god-modding. Ah, but I wouldn't care. As if I could do that, the guy'd still lose - and he can stand outside, impervious to ragnarok all he likes - I would still be the one walking away with moeny.
Crawley, shut the ******** up. surprised I offered to end the arguement on a semi-reasonable note, take it. You've lost your own point long ago.[/size
