K 19 It takes someone who can appreciate literature to get through them.
If you can't, it's a gross reflection on our culture. >.>
I know a good deal of people who can't get through The Hobbit, much less the Simarillion, the Lord of the Rings, and Book of Unfinished Tales, et cetera. I read the hobbit, but not LotR. I fail to see how not being able to get through a book is a reflection on our culture. SOme people have certain tastes, that can be a facotr in finding a book to be boring. It has nothign to do with culture.

I have a copy you could borrow, but I'm too attached to let it go. >_>;;
It's good reading, though. Slow good reading. ^^
And beware of anything by Christopher Tolkien. He doesn't quite have his father's writing gene. u_u

Nah-- if you lived, I dunno, next door or something, I'd let you use it, but if you live halfway across the country, I think not. xDD Just think of buying it as an investment. ^_^
And Chris Tolkien made a valiant effort to mimic his father's writing style, but sort of failed. *shrug* Probably did a better job than I could've, but it just doesn't flow like John's did. xP

Living next door? But sorry if i live half a country away? XDD
Well, I did be glad if I am not living more than half a world away from you. XDD
Now, I am pissed. It is 1.00AM Sunday, 25 Dec 2005 here! And WHY AIN'T SANTA HERE YET! I had been a good boy this year!
I even left him a glass of milk and some cookies. Sheesh, if he doesn't get here with my present, I am so going to eat all that myself!
Maybe he might get me a "Simarillion" book... Or maybe I need a chimney... Or maybe Santa ain't stopping at a Country which is so darn near the equator... Or maybe Santa knows I had really been a bad boy this year. -whistle-

And beware of anything by Christopher Tolkien. He doesn't quite have his father's writing gene. u_u i remember when they were talking about JR Tolkien on the radio, about how his life influenced the books. LIke the swamp of the dead that was in the Two Towers. It was based on the aftermath of the battle fields in WWI, all the dead laying around like that. Oh and I've never read the LotR series, though that's probably because i want to read the entire MTG storyline, from the brothers war in the artifacts cycle to Scourge in the onslaught cycle at least. (have already read the Mirrodin cycle books). Then possibly the Ravnica: City of Guilds set once it finished being writen. And I actually have to hope on reading Eragon. I've read the entire circle of magic series when i was younger, and the follow up to it, what was it called? The circle opens or something like that. I remember seeing the Hobbit in play once. That was a really, really, really long play. But it was preatty good. And I stil love TimeLine better than most of the books I;ve read. It has to be probably the book I;ve read more than twice. Oh, and Karn would so own Gandolph.

Yea. A good stuff for them. They are good. I especially luff the riddle about the Time.
About how Time turns everything into dust. -Can't remember the full thing but had quite a good impression of it.-
Meanwhile, I am sick and tired of waiting for Santa. I am going to catch some sleep. Since it is christmas already. Sense a busy day coming. confused

Is that one of those really, really long series that takes up like four shelves in the bookstore? xD May the Force be with you while reading those, then... may you never go broke buying them. x3

And no hands and feet, but still feels?
