It's not just your country man, I live here too. I'm all for fighting for what you believe in, that doesn't mean everyone is obligated to have the same beliefs as you.
Oh and thanks for the warm welcome. wink

I know it's not JUST my country. Otherwise I'd name it something cooler...like MY ******** COUNTRY, BIZNATCHES.
That would be awesome.
Anyways, I'm not arguing that everyone should have the same beliefs I do (it's the premise of America that you're allowed to have your own beliefs) I'm simply saying that if you're going to join the service (who's sole purpose is to protect America, her assets, and the ideals of general freedoms) then you should have at least enough respect to not bad mouth your own country! And, if you should feel the need to bad mouth America, then by all means don't do it around a group of patriotic U.S Army soldiers. Because they'll probably (and most assuredly did) whoop your a**. I don't know about other soldiers in the Army but I know my platoon and I are very patriotic soldiers. We train hard, we love our country, and we don't appreciate it when fellow service members blatantly insult the country. It's not even voicing a dislike for a specific thing, he was degrading the country as a whole instead of a singular thing that needed to be reformed.

There are as many good things as bad things in this country... I respect some things the government does... but no matter how patriotic you are you can't deny a lot of things our government does which is out of hand. The military etc, I have no problem with... But the overall ethics of the head of our country is poor. Most people in politics are in it to better themselves and make themselves money, like Hilary Clinton, she is one of the biggest sell-outs the country has ever seen. And you can't argue the fact that Bush Jr is borderline mentally handicap. The idea of America is something to respect... but sadly it's just an idea folded over our eyes while the major corporations milk every dime they can out of the middle class. Don't take it so personally, it's not the army/military/navy... They are respectable, what they do is honorable... But when it comes to politics selling out to corporations just to make their own lives better... it's not good. I'm sorry if I offended you, I just go by the facts.

Don't worry about it, I'm not offended, and in some (if not most) points I agree. Just because I'm a patriot doesn't make me blind to the reality of what's happening to my beloved country.

I appreciate your understanding, I didn't want to come here and get in a big argument or debate the first day, that would make me look well... not so good. D:

On the contrary, it'd help you fit in. On some level we all hate one another here. Except Kobei, I'm sure a few of us don't hate her, instead just want to sleep with her.
And KB? Sorry, buddy, not this time. Just make due with what you've got.

@KB Dark Tower series = Epic btw wink
And yeah, it seems arguments and debates normally do bring people closer in a strange way. ...That is of course unless you're trying to sleep with someone... But even then sometimes it's effective. surprised
