As mai blasted up earth with her kick off, Sage smirked. While the falling tree began to touch the tree sage was perched on, Sage rolled up along the length of his tree. He rolled backwards and into a crouch, then sprung off and landed on another tree. As he performed these acrobatics, the trees fell, but something else happened as well. Sage summoned forth an Astral Construct. Emy to be precise. The emerald guardian stood 8 ft tall and was in the way between Sage and mai. It's body glistened with a strange sheen. And it was covered in armor plates.

He rolled backwards and into a crouch, then sprung off and landed on another tree. As he performed these acrobatics, the trees fell, but something else happened as well. Sage summoned forth an Astral Construct. Emy to be precise. The emerald guardian stood 8 ft tall and was in the way between Sage and mai. It's body glistened with a strange sheen. And it was covered in armor plates. She stopped short but when she did that she slashed the weapon down hard and the ground cracked forcing the tree he was on to collapse and ones around it to collapse some would hit this guardian on the way down. As she had slashed a blast of fire errupted from it violently towards it and she dissapeared and appeared on the opposite side of where she had been equal distance away closer to Sage.

"Congradulations, Clow. I hope they're healthy. Though, I would hate it there were some reason as to why they did not cross breed; the two clans. Your children will be strong though. Both of the clans were powerful after all." The cat brought a paw up to lick happily before rubbing behind her ear.

As mai smote the ground with her attack, emy stood there. When trees came crashing down towards emy, it spun once. The single spin caused the trees to be hurled away from the astral construct with violent force. Meanwhile, Sage hopped off of his tree perch. When mai disappeared, Sage's nose twitched. He then aimed a finger at where she was going to reappear and fired out a tiny, pearl sized ball of green energy. When the energy reached it's destination (regardless of mai being there or not) it expanded with the speed of an explosion. There was no explosive, concussion force to the blast. Instead, it was an intense, sun-like burst of energy that radiated outward in a twenty foot , pressureless 'explosion'.
((note: it wouldn't be nearly as strong as an actual fusion reaction, but it would be far stronger than the normal 'fireball'. ))

She opened her eyes, and headed back into the building off to her room. The feeling she had when she had first arrived at the dojo was dwindling away. She hadn't spoken to anyone here in over a week, but didn't feel like she'd had any chance to either. She reached her room, and fell asleep quite quickly, her headphones still on her head.

((note: it wouldn't be nearly as strong as an actual fusion reaction, but it would be far stronger than the normal 'fireball'. )) She saw his finger being her eyesight had been enhanced long before this battle from this form and kicked off dissapearing again appearing above him high and did handsigns. "Pheonix fireball!" She said to herself and inhaled blowing out many fireballs coming in at different times but it was very hard to tell what was first, but they were coming at speeds that were unormal for someone her age, or even regular shinobi. She then dissapeared again to the side away from both his gaurdian and him.

As the fireballs rained down at him, Sage covered his head. He was pelted with a handful of the fireballs, and quickly rolled on the ground as he landed. The brief contact with fire left him a little singed, but not that bad given what it could have been. As Sage rolled, Emy charged forth towards Mai. It had surprising quickness given it's size, and as it charged, it seemed ready to grab her once it got close enough.

She dissapeared again away from them, she was having no problem with doing that and did handsigns as two of her appeared and they all circled around dissapearing to confuse them and split up two going at him and one attackign the guardian. The two used the fireball one again, and so did the other on the guardian.
They all said "What are you going to do now?"

Just before the fire could reach him however, it was smothered. Not by air, not by water. Not by anything of this earth. But by ectoplasm. Not just a small glob, or a handful. Or even a shield. A 50ft radius around Sage was normal one moment, then encased in a cube of soft, jello like ectoplasm the next. Sage swam through the murky substance as if it was water, however mai would find it much harder to move through, like cement. She would also have a burning sensation as the ectoplasm seemed to be charged with 'positive' energy. The kind of stuff that paladins use to smite evil. The same kind of energy that monks use to exorcise demons.

She was crying as the wings were trying to help her break out but they were stuck as well. She saw her skin changing back to normal slowly and began to get nervous not knowing what to do. She didn't know what it was, and didn't know if she wanted to know.

Sage swam his way to the roof of the cube and broke the surface. He took a few deep breaths, then looked to mai. " Ready to give up and stop being all 'I will eat your heart' ?"
((yeah...ectoplasm is right freaky if you think about it....))

She was trying to break out of it her wings trying to push out to trying flying out of it, but it wasn't working. She didn't answer him getting angrier struggling constantly not giving up.

Sage slowly dissipated the goo down to a 10 by 10 by 10 foot cube surrounding mai. As his feet touched the ground, he brushed himself off and said, " well then, I suppose I'll just have to take you to the afterlife then. Maybe one of those spiffy sword wielding grim reapers can make you change your mind....or I could take you to my Mentor. He could make a shiney jewel out of a demon lass like you....or maybe I should just force feed you some turkey....turkey makes everything better..."
