Almost every game tie in movie sucks, K. No matter who is directing. The only exception I have ever come across was Resident Evil, but even that wasn't oo great, and the sequal to it was abismal.

Pyrotechnic Oracle Almost every game tie in movie sucks, K. No matter who is directing. The only exception I have ever come across was Resident Evil, but even that wasn't oo great, and the sequal to it was abismal. well there haven't been all that many have there? And Tomb Radier was decent, not really great, but decent. I have yet to see the RE movies actually. and the MK movies where once again, decent, they had some cool parts and they had some wierd parts in them too. i can't really think of any more games to movies right now.

could be worse, could be the director that did AVP.. how he could ruin something that was already perfectly defined, im not sure.. but he did it.

liz_bliz i really hope your joking, or most LotR fans will want your head. Oh, I love the Lord of the Rings books. Tolkien did a beautiful job with them.
What I don't like is that some halfassed, obese man woke up one day and decided to make a modern movie off it. His "artistic liberties" were, by far, made to please a general, illiterate audience.
I'm a book purist. x3
I know the movies were a big hit, blah blah blah, but with suck actors such as Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortinson, it made it even worse.
I hope the man has a heart attack.
Although I hear he's lost a lot of weight.
Good for him.
Must be expecting great things from King Kong.

While I'm sure he didn't follow the books to the letter, at least we didn't have another TIMELINE or Nassicaa on our hands here in terms of slaughter housing books to movies and yes, he has lost A LOT of weight I hate Bloom being loved as an actor just because the girls swoon for him as much as the next guy, but he does have some real talent. (not to mention being a injury magnet) Viggo is great actor, even if he is old I'm sure their were worse actors in it than them KONG WAS AWESOME (a gaint moneky dislocated a t-rex's lower jaw open and then backed its upper jaw into it brain. HELL YEAH!) and at least Jackson does his movies because he WANTS TO. He is commited because of that far more than some other director that just did it for the money. Um...
I think Movies are great stuff. Since not many people loves to read.
And yesh, the movies of "Lord of the Rings" are awesome to me... At least to me. Have never read the books before due to laziness. Yea, but I swear I will find time one day to read... My friend said that book was soooo boring though. Half a book delicated sole-y for discribing the Burrows? -Start firing glances at Sephy- Just so how someone will "loves" that. rolleyes

It takes someone who can appreciate literature to get through them.
If you can't, it's a gross reflection on our culture. >.>
I know a good deal of people who can't get through The Hobbit, much less the Simarillion, the Lord of the Rings, and Book of Unfinished Tales, et cetera.
