The poking feature is the most confusing thing ever. See, all it does is inform the person that they've been "poked," and by whom. For instance, let's say that you had a facebook, and poked me. When I next logged in, I would see this. I would then panic.
"Who is this? Why am I being poked? What does this mean? Is this some sort of romantic thing? Is he interested in that? Or is this just some friendly thing? ZOMGWTFISGOINGONG??? Niarb edolpxe gonk "
I fail to see any other purpose it might serve, except to drive people crazy.

Essentially. I usually scare people away by responding to pokes with a PM that says, "WHAT? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? WHY??????????????????"
