The crow doesn't seem miffed by that statement. It just gives him a long look. An unnatural intensity glimmers in its black eyes. After a while, it just turns its head and looks away, as though it's ashamed of something.
"Nah, no debt at all. You've helped me out plenty, right? So I figure we're even." Iri sighs and looks toward the dojo. "Guess I'll be going then. I'm sure you want to get back to Fenris."

"Oh...of course..." He does his best to hide biting sarcasm, and as it stands, manages only about a B-. "Iri...."

Nekojiri We're not going to be done for a while, so make yourself comfortable.
-=Neko pointed a finger at her, without unclasping his hands, and a small, invisible bubble of chakra formed in her lap. About the size of of a beachball. It pressed down on her legs, making well sure that she stayed seated. though it was a barrier very similar to Kara's, it's strength was lacking. A well-placed chakra attack would shatter it easily=-
Hundreds of reasons? Oh my. All this letter says is that you've been shipped here as a punishment for murders because of that temper. Though I detest the idea of our academy being used as a boot camp, I owe your village's leader a favor. Keep in mind that you are here, walking on that thin wire of a favor, with certain death underneath you. You're welcome to jump off of that wire at any time. If you were to jump I would not stop you, nor would many of my colleagues.
You are here to learn Ho from Sepheroth-Sensei, but you are under my watch. I don't care what rank you had in your Village, you are stripped of it here. This is an entirely different ballgame, cadet, and you will heed to the council's word. You will heed to my word. Any lack of respect will only be met with punishment. This may not be a boot camp, but it sure as hell will not be pleasant for you.
Right now, you are dirt. You're lower than dirt, you are not even a Human f*cking Being. We do not treat our students like dirt, until they prove that they are dirt. You being here sure hasn't proven that you're worthy of respect, but we will show you a sliver respect, as long as we get respect in return, so cherish it. Sepheroth-Sensei will be arranging your training schedule, and I will keep an eye on you. When I, or any one of the sensei's or students asks you a question, I expect a full and precise answer, to the best of your knowledge, in return.
Do you understand these rules, Mai? She felt her legs being held down but knew it would be stupid to try breaking it while there was a woman here and Neko. She was looking away from him for most of his speech in silence. She would have normally went back at him but she heard him bring up what would happened if she was sent back and she didn't want that. "I guess......." She said still having the annoyed tone she had before. "now can i go?" She asked, completely frustrated.

(( So sorry about the abrupt disappearing act! Net took a dive and it hasn't been working until now. ))
She's a sharp girl, and so she catches the sarcastic note in Reeve's voice. Iri turns and looks at him. There's one more thing about his current attitude that just doesn't make sense to her. If she didn't know any better, she would think that he didn't want to go back to Fenris. But he broke up with Iri to be with Fen, so why would that be?
Iri's eyes soften a little as she speaks. "Something's wrong, Reeve. Your attitude is telling me as much. Is it more than just cold feet? Or are you going to answer me at all?"

(( I thought you went to sleep))
Reeve opens his mouth to speak, but no words come out, so he shuts it abruptly. "...."

(( That would be typical for me, huh? Heheh. ))
Iri gives her left wing a shrug. "Maybe I shouldn't have asked, though I would have liked at least a semblance of an answer." She turns around and starts walking, her feet carrying her in the direction of the dojo. It's gonna be a long walk, and her wings are out of commission for a while. "Later then."
The crow looks back at Reeve as Iri walks. In the way it tilts its head, it seems to be considering a course of action.

"...Is it that hard for you to see?" Reeve makes no move to return to the dojo, placing a hand on a near tree.

She stops and looks over her shoulder. An idea stirs in the back of her mind, but she immediately writes it off as false hope. "Yeah, I guess it is. I've been piecing together what you've been trying to say, but the results I get don't add up." Iri turns to fully face him. "I thought you would be happy after what happened in Durem, but I suppose I was wrong. So why can't you just come out and tell me what's on your mind? Hell, I may even be able to help you, if you'd just tell me."
Iri may not be able to say what she hopes and thinks the problem might be, but the crow seems to have figured it out. It stares at Reeve with its black eyes and gives him a nod of encouragement.

Ally walked through the halls in silence and walked into her room orginizing her things a bit. She looked around, nothing had changed, nothing here seemed to change much for her. She didn't care though, she sort of liked it this way.

Reeve doesn't say anything this time, either. He takes a few steps behind her, then reaches out for her hand.

Iri could swear her heart skipped a beat. The last time he reached out for her hand that way, they had been swimming in her favorite creek. Though her practical side is telling her it's a bad idea, Iri places her hand in Reeve's. She looks into his eyes and waits. The crow takes wing without a sound. It doesn't want to interrupt.

I want him back, but would it be right? If he says what I want him to say, then he would be hurting Fenris the same way he hurt me. I really don't know what to think about this.
Iri's expression softens slightly. She takes a little firmer grip on his hand. "Reeve...?"

"I just, well," she casts her gaze to the ground. "What do you intend to do? You keep dodging my questions. And I think I know what's going on, but... I don't want to get my hopes up." That last part is said in a softer, sadder tone of voice.
