"I don't know much about what's going on, but I do know a little magic..." Core said. He decided not to even mention the fact that he has a crystallis.

"I can do weak spells when I borrow magic from Gab," Aislin said, her being conceited to a creature that was basically a base of magic wasn't necessarily not having a lot of magic.
Gab wriggled harder, "Don't You dare touch that thing Lin! It's bad! It's horrible!! Don't touch it!"

The Reaper glanced at Core, and nodded. "If you can maintain a basic barrier, then you will be the bearer of the page." The Reaper said. Leonard, who had been standing at this point, began to wobble, then fell over, with a oomph, before painfully getting up again. "So how do you intend to trick the beast?" Leonard asked.
Fog's voice rang out to Tigris, a simple command. ~Drop the Page, and return to me~ Fog seemed to say to Tigris.

Aegina kept her barrier of swords up, watching the two fight, but staying ready in case Tigris tried to sneak past her.

"I can maintain a barrier for a longer time," Chiasa chimed in. She was pretty skilled at barriers, also she didn't want Core anywhere near the page. She would rather have it.

Chiasa watched the fight. She wasn't sure what that chance would be, so she hoped the Reaper would give some indication.

All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches! Let it hereby be announced that:The second he war released, Sanguinius put a massive effort into pulling the dagger out and flying out of her range. He grimaced at the pain of the dented armor and thanked the Emperor for the blessings that protected him. With another breath, he channeled another psychic blast through the spear, aiming for the page...that is all

Tigris wasn't able to jump away in time. The spear ripped through her front paw, removing it from her body. Moving away from Sanguinius, she turned and leapt over the magic blades again. She ignored the scratches she received as she fled on three legs. The page remained under her removed paw, which was oozing poison.
Core looked more worried for Chiasa. He hoped she would be able to make the barrier.

Chiasa looked towards the barrier and focused. It started to move towards them, as did everything underneath it.

After Tigris fled, the swords started to disappear.
Espio came down and hovered next to Aegina, to protect her in case the poison came near her.
