Abel was just a little caught off guard with such statements. His mouth opened and closed once before he could reply. "Thank you... I Think..." He blinked a couple times, and shook his head. "I'd say the same to you, but I've seen a lot of red eyes staring at me through the darkness." He didn't stand quite as straight for some reason now, seemingly making himself just a few inches shorter to be at better eye level with Mercy.

"Hmmmmmm........" *She pouted a little but dismissed his comment considering very few vampires had red eyes now adays but sighing again she made a funny face at him.* "Don't you ever smile Abel?"

Abel stared quietly for a moment. "Yes I do. But I haven't a reason to now do I?" He smirked, which was the most sincerely closest thing to a smile that he's done so far.

*Mercy wrinkled her nose this time.* "Come on....." *She wondered if she should play with his mind a little then decided against it.* "So.......... sword your weapon of chose?" *She reached out to touch the hilt and ran her elegants nails along it smileing sweetly.*

Abel blinked, watching her nails and pulled the sheathed sword from across his back, holding it out. "It's more then a sword. And avoid hitting the switch on the hilt before it's pulled out." He watched her carefully.

*A slow smile spread across her face as she stared.* "I could tell....." *Her voice trailed as she spoke then touched the Lapis Luzuli stone that hung around her neck.* "Ah.... sorry I spaced." *She bowed her head but only slightly to how her respect but with nobility.* "I am also a swords man..... maybe we could test each others sikill sometime...." *Her voice trail again as she touched the sword sweetly and with affection for it. Her eyes semed to become softer around a blade, which was odd for such a small child.*

Abel nodded, and placed her hand on the hilt of the blade and wrapped her hand around it pulling it out. Setting the sheath against his back once more. "And I'd always like a chance to improve my swordsmanship." He smirked again.

*Noticing how close they were standing Mercy took a step back but didn't let go. She held it up and admired the blade.* "Hmmmmm....." *Was all she would say. She brought it up spun it once then handed it back to him. Gripping her necklace one last tiem she let go then smiled up at him loking inot his eyes.* "Your a hard one to read Abel....... you know that?"

Abel held the blade, and suddenly jabbed upwards, pressing the switch and the blade fell into sections, held together by a steel wire, it snaked back downwards, stabbing into the floor behind Mercy. He smirked and hit the switch again and it came together. Twirling the blade he slid it into it's sheath. "No I didn't until now."

*Her eyes didn't even widden as his sword manuvered. Her long hair bristled a little and her short dress flapped but other then that she stood smiling like a child.* "So......... you are human right Abel?" *She had been wondering considering he had an odd smell about him but decided it could have been somethign else in the room.*

Abel nodded. "I am. I've never been anything else that I know of." He slid his hands into his pockets. His eyes flashed sharply, he smiled. Shifting his pocketed hands his coat opened up, showing the armor he wore beneath.

*Her smile grew mocking as she walked closer but made sure to keep a foot of distanc in between. She reached out and flicked his chest making sure it wouldn't hurt.* "Prepared for somthing?" *She lifted on fine eyebrow and sneered a little.*

Abel stared at her. "Always need to be prepared." He said with a blank stare. He watched her carefully, grabbing her wrist with a playful smirk when she flicked his chest.

*Mercy bared her fangs teasingly then stepped a little closer looking all the up to his face.* "You know Abel..... if your human..........." *Her eyes were mocking and mischevious.* "That........ means.......... you eat human food right?" *She wondered if it would bother him, hoping she would get a reaction.* "I don't know how a human can live without the smooth..." *She leaned up and brushed her nose on his neck inhaling the scent.* "Luscious taste of blood." *She looked all the way up and giggled knowing she was being a bully but still smiled angelically.*

Abel twitched, freezing up. He didn't quite say anything yet, he felt awkward with a vampire this close to his neck... He didn't however relinquish his hand from her wrist. "Erm...." He couldn't think of a thing to say.
