Washu?  Even that, though, moving away from just western names. We should bow to the inevitable and write the names of all Japanese animation characters in katakana.

Spaiku Spieguu... Maiku... Pretty much the only show I've really seen a lot of work done on getting western names and terms right was Matantei Loki Ragnarok, and that was mostly a kid's show... yet they got Norse terminology right that westerners regularly mangle on a regular basis.

Haha, I remember people fussing over 'Ameria' vs. 'Amelia', and 'Kopii Rezo'... ah, memories. I love people bitching about "Gauri Gaburief" over Gourry Gabriev... especially since his name is supposed to be essentially French... And the creator's having given the real spelling before.

I prefer mass killings. After all, isn't there a saying "Kill one to warn a hundred"? If that means I get to kill 1 percent of the obnoxious fanbase, I'm all for it.

Actually, when I think about it, KF's done a good job with One Piece for translations ans such. This just came to mind when Stream mentioned French, since in essence everyone's attacks are in a different language. Sanji's attacks are parts of the body in French, Smoker's are all in English, Chopper's are in Italian, Robin's are in Spanish and French and so on. That just came to mind when thinking about this.
