I will be giving it a shot using only the built-in specs of my laptop, and my friends say that will be just fine. Friends that built his own computer (nicknamed "Big Bhudda") . . . so I trust his judgment.

Ah, I wish I had more knowledge of hardware; I'm mostly a software guy.
The $60 price tag also hurts, especially considering this release is only one-third of the entire game.
Ah, well, until I get a better computer and the price of the game goes down, I'll just keep playing Warcraft 3.

Warcraft III is an awesome game, i do adore that so. Which makes my hatred of WoW even less sensical, other than the method by which I have lost RPs and friends to the demonic possession of that MMO.
As for the price tag, this is Blizzard we are talking about. This third, and likely the other two, will be well worth the price. These guys have been the game juggernaut that none have bested for a reason- they make good games.
EDIT: eek the wyvern poses in my Compass finally unlocked!!!

I especially love is extensive Battle.net features and the amazing Diablo-like 3-part Beastmaster campaign included with the expansion pack.
I wish Warcraft 2 would still run on my machine, but at least DOSBox can help me run Warcraft 1.
Aside from the fact that people disappear into WoW like its a black hole, I also hate how playing it is the only way to keep up on the evolving plot Blizzard has created for their Warcraft franchise.
I wasn't complaining about the price so much as I was saying that I can't afford it right now. *drools in anticipation of a battle chest containing all 3 games some time in the future*

Yeppers, that was the main reason I wanted the Compass. The rest is nice enough, too . . . but the moment I saw this pose I had to get my hands on it.
Now I just have to save up and get the Overgrown Ruins as well. Damn, that is just too awesome, but a cool mil pure at the moment. I don't have quite half that yet. Of course I could sell some things, but I don't think I will. the items that would give me enough are ones I would miss.

FYI to the people in the one RP I was in... I got a bad cold so that's why I haven't been posting/probably won't post until I'm better. Just so you know.

. . . and now I remember why I don't go outside of this guild much. The only other one I tried to RP in just turned on me like a salmonella-laden omelet. When I defend myself, the crew came down on me just as hard as the other asshat. stare

That grumbling aside, SC2 seems to run okay on my system on lower settings. Not brilliantly, but enough to play. smile
