Graaah, we're getting off-point again. xD
We're talking about fighting. Not regular roleplaying. Fighting.

In battle. Tiers matter.. because not all fights are fair. This is a universal law. Even in fiction.

The best RPer ever could create a completely normal human, which would be lower tier, but if they used their skill against a shitty opponent playing an upper tier character, they can win. I have a lower tier ex-marine that has the tools to KILL one of my higher tier characters, Torment Nusradai.

The tiering system is simply a measure of the character's abilities. A player can create a character at any tier, but its the situations and tools at hand that determine if a lower tier can defeat an upper tier. Usually you simply won't see a normal human killing a mage.

It may be true that I prefer creating upper tier characters, but sometimes lower tiered characters can be much more fun to play.

I really don't see why this discussion needs to continue at all. Its called its done with, over, kaput. Stop it. XD

That wasn't the point. You said that someone (can't remember who) must care about Ertai since he was talking about him. I disagreed because people regularly talk about things they don't like.

I said Ertai must -matter- to him a lot.

You simply brought up distasteful subjects, assuming I'd catch your drift. But since your assumption of what I was talking about was wrong in the first place, this discussion took a different turn.

You and 'mptions have most certainly been made an a** of.

Kellindel
The judge can be questioned about such.

I'm not saying everyone has to like it all the time. I'm trying to make it legitimate and/or remove as many possibilities of underhandedness that I can.

And if someone isn't open to the idea of a character beating theirs then they shouldn't even be fighting.

I already stated this in the 'people just have to deal with it' comment I reposted -twice-.

You and gnats must get along, having the same attention span and all.

Kellindel
I like discussing this kind of stuff on occasion. If you don't well then thats your problem. Don't like whats being talked about and no one wants to talk about anything else then maybe you should just go somewhere else.

Oh, I love discussion, and the topic at hand fails to bother me. I just prefer such arguments with smarter people, which this current duel has failed to provide.

Kellindel
And you probably shouldn't take any philosophy or logical debate courses with that mentality. You argued with me, I wasn't even speaking with you before you said I was wrong.

I don't like high school debate. It's fun in a classroom structure, but the controlled stuff is nonsense. I assume I'll be fine in philosophy, since I've found the mentally challenged to be few and far between within such courses.

And if you don't want me arguing with you, feel free not to respond.
But that would also mean relinquishing the cherished last word.

Hmmz.

But the point is he is facing another threat. And in this threat. Him winning.. isn't likely. In fact.. it isn't going to happen.

Even if his supporting army dropped bombs.

He still lost. He died.

Not 100% true. Is it damned likely, were he bound and blinded, that he'd die? Ohhhhh yeah. That's taking away the ability for him to even mount an offense, however feeble - even the mouse didn't have that restriction.

But, we can't rule out outside interference. You didn't say he was gagged, firstly. What if he suddenly started spouting information? Unhonorable or no, those ready to give the signal for the squad to kill him may reconsider, allowing him to live for a short while longer, which may, be just what he needs for an outside force [be it a special forces or.. whatever,] to storm the compound and rescue him.

Again, highly unlikely - but just because it's unlikely, doesn't mean we can rule it out. "Impossible" situations before have well come true.

Sure we can.

Especially if we're thinking in terms of arena battle.

Where is the mouse's ability to cause a big accident now?

Now that we're changing the entire focus again..

My question is: why would a mouse sign up for a tournament, good sir, unless he was extremely intelligent? In which case, would he be able to see a flaw in the mage's scheme of attacks?

We can say things're impossible or inplausable all we like, but they can always explode in our faces, if we become complacent with what we "know" is to be true.

It's hypothetical. It doesn't have to be a tournament, just imagine a mouse in combat. It's stupid.

Same difference. Care or matter that isn't a qualifier for discussion.

Just because they can question it doesn't legitimize their question. I can question what happens to objects that get sucked into black holes but that doesn't mean I'm going to get an answer or that there even is one at all.

Shouyin

Well if you don't like it then stop it. You're the only one who has expressed distaste over this whole affair. I'm not telling you to continue debating with me and I doubt you'd listen to me if I was.

Then wait for a while and take it in college.
