You make it look amazing.
*I light the candles on the table. The tablecloth is a deep red and the cloth napkins match it. I pull out a chair for you.*
Here you are, m'dear.

Be right back.
*I hussle to the back room and come back with a basket of warm bread, some butter and a fresh salad. I set them down on the table, and take a seat across from you.*
I'm really glad you made it. I've been looking forward to this all week.

Like I said, you're well worth the wait. I was actually running around trying ot collect some flowers for you, but then realized, the snow had covered them. *I roll my eyes at my own denseness. I take a bite of my salad.*

Haven't been to the circus in an age. Last time I went to an amusement park I got literally thrown out. *Takes another bite of his salad.* I do think it's funny the attention we got over this. A few of the other regulars were a bit surprised.

Yeah, I was waitin' for him to interrogate me. The bombardment of questions about me with me standin' right next to him killed me. *Finishes my salad.* I was a little worried that this place's usual insanity might put a damper on the evening, but it's pretty quiet.

*takes a few more salad bites* A little too quiet. I'm just waiting for some big disaster to happen. It's not that I want it. But it's pretty inevitable around here with this crowd.
