rehearsal was.. alright. i knew there was a guy who couldn't sing well; i could hear him when we were going through things. it's only today that i found out how bad he was. singing in a lower octave, and going in what seems to be sprechstimme... speech-singing... most of the time. i put myself behind him just 'cause we get to pick where we wanna be. rather than do the shun thing, he's actually trying so i'm going to sing with him so he picks up on my notes.
how altruistic of me. as long as the dude's trying, it's alright. hopefully, he learns the art of the drop-out method when we sing things like c# on a ledger, down to some nearly tritonic interval.

Well, yeah, actually. If he's not talking big, and he's trying, so there doesn't seem to be any reason not to help out, other than the effort involved. Teach the grasshopper to fly, Shi-fu!
The mechanics of music, they have me lost. However, ghosting notes you can't quite reach, I totally get.

it was one of those things i had to know for comps. i'm gonna use the word as often as possible. i'd ask if you've heard pierrot lunaire, but i reeeeally doubt it for its nature. if you know what recitative is, then it's sounds kinda like that. but 2dmaxxx.
and yeah, it's not like he's boasting like... at all. he knows that he needs help. i actually wish i had the time to go before or stay after to hit the piano with him, so he could learn some of it. he did say that he didn't know how to read music. being from a church, he probably knows the hymns or whatever and that's all he needs... looks in the hymnal for words without knowledge of how to tell what octave you're singing in. i guess. at least he doesn't have to sing anything close to the alto part, 'cause beethoven's making them do vocal acrobatics.
i actually need to sleep early because i'm walking the streets when i wake up. all day. might catch a movie in the middle, but i've got lots of walking to do. so... yeah. passing out on ace combat. sleep well when you get there.

Miss Raven, if ever there were a person in all of Levi who I would right an epic about...well...it wouldn't be you exactly...but you would certainly be included. But, that's probably why I'm not writing epics about Levi.
