Itaka smiled "Don't worry about it, theres always magic for ranged support and the academy will probably try a barrier spell to shield us from most of the cannonfire so Alex will have to resort to sending troops in on small disposable aerial vehicles that's were you an I come in and start smashing them. Elves are known for their magic so the barrier should hold the cannon fire at bay while the elves can use comet and meteor and the like to damage the ships, don't forget Barbaros' cannon which should be powerful enough to dent the hull severely if not put a hole in it," he said kissing and fondling Seph gently "But if we can hold our ground in the forest area they shouldn't reach the city slums and everything will be a-ok" he said giving Seph a thumbs up "What'll be harder is launching a counterattack, all the bases of command will be on the ground so we have no real way of attacking them" he shrugged "I'm no tactician I'll leave that part to the elves."

Barbaros chuckled looking over the photo's "Hey Oassu check out these beauties!" he said waving the photo's under Oassu's nose as he tried to focus on the paper.

Oassu blushed a little pushing the photo's away "Felina's all the woman I'm gonna need" he said before focusing hard on the paper.

Satoshi grinned watching as the paper burned up in Oassu's hands "Congratulations the element your chakra favours is fire. A little like me so I can teach you one or two things" she informed him tossing the burnt up paper into the bin. "That also means you should try and create a new fire jutsu" she suggested reopening her book.

Hayate snickered patting Alpha on the shoulders "Don't be so glum, I think most of them would be too young for you anyway so please stop eyeing up Private Shizuka" he answered taking the file back off the demon. "If you really want a bit of fun wait until the after battle celebrations though I don't think you'll have much luck."

Hebal grinned eventually losing her inner battle and snatching the feather from his hat then placing it in her hair. "Aww don't say things like that Mr.Barbaros you'll reduce his confidence" she tutted poking his chest. "Hayate is a cool guy and a good decision maker and must have some talent if the king has put him in such an important position" she cheered before turning to Mari and waving. "Would it be so bad if there were a few I liked the look of?" she whispered.

Alpha shrugged "It's called a promotion so we should be happy for Hayate. A little bit of trust goes a long way" he smiled patting Hayate on the shoulder. "I know you can do a good job of it and of course we are going to win this fight. We rock!" he added cheering with Hebal.

Seph shrugged looking back out the window "Actually I never considered possible options for the elves" she sighed looking back at her wing. "Sometimes it's conscious, sometimes it's not. It's usually unconscious when I am in a good mood or when it gets hit with water."

Mari cheered playing with Hebal's other ear "Yeah of course its ok for you to like those girls, we need to set you up with somebody as well you know! Not just Satoshi" he giggled.

Itaka smiled cuddling Seph "Glad to see your in a good mood then" he said kissing her wing a little "I love this little thing" he smiled "Most of what we'll be dealing with is standard rank and file troopers, though maybe a few monsters as well, so long as the barrier holds out we should do just fine" he said kissing Seph a little more "I'll take extra special care of you" he sighed happily.

Oassu smiled kissing Felina back "I am I've just been told my Chakra is fire element" he said waving the burnt paper proudly "So Satoshi says that she can help me with some jutsu and I'll have to work out my own special one someday." he said snuggling into Felina. "Oh and Alpha's getting the hots for some of the troopers in Hayate's unit, Hebal too I think" he whispered.

Barbaros shrugged at Alpha's retort "I do trust him and it is a good promotion but if I remember anything about my army days we'd be playing pranks and allsorts on a rookie commander" he grinned pulling out a small cigar and lighting it "But you....your situation is special Hayate, they don't have much of a choice but to follow you here, you get to make your first impression on the battlefield not the barracks and if you earn their respect out there they'll take you properly seriously later on" he said leaning back "Then again I never had a female member in my unit so maybe the mindset is different" he shrugged.

Felina grinned examining the paper in Oassu's hands "Sounds great! Was it you who burned the paper?" she asked looking over at the file which was now sitting on the end of the couch. "Do you mind if I take a look at the file Hayate. I'm kinda curious about what made Alpha and Hebal like the troopers so much."

Satoshi smirked following Hebal over to the kitchen. "Yes yes we'll make a nice cake for Amane but we'll also make one if we have to in order to impress a potenital girlfriend for you" she offered looking back at Oassu. "That doesn't mean you are limited to fire only justu. It just means you'll do far better with them and do more complex abilities of that element"

Hayate sighed passing the file over to Felina. "I believe Alpha was taking an interest on one of your friends actually... a miss Shizuka to be more precise" he told the princes putting his feet up on the table. "I would prefer to earn their respect on the battle field than in the barracks anyway."

Alpha raised his eyebrow at Oassu glancing back at the picture with a grin. "Oh you two know eachother? You should introduce us to her some time. Personally I don't see anything wrong with the clothes" he told Oassu looking away from the profile "heh Seph sometimes lets her temper take over and I don't mean to be sexist but a lot of the time women require more training."

Seph smiled back nuzzling into Itaka. "That would be nice. Also I do believe that I owe you a dance later" she whispered back patting him on the shoulder. "Anyway the point was that you don't need to worry about me on the battlefield. So you just go and do your own thing right?"

Hebal giggled patting Mari on the head "Same goes to you. If theres an elf guy you like the look of then we'll put in a good word for you" she cheered quickly finding the packet of cookies then began to nibble away at a few of them. "I think it's time to give Itaka his armor back" she muttered going back to her bucket, picking up the armor and skipping over to knock on Seph's door.

Itaka jumped as Hebal knocked he sighed irrtatedly before calling "Who is it?"

Oassu shook his head "Shizuka is nice looking but doesn't hold a candle to my Felina" he said glaring at Satoshi before snuggling Felina tightly, "Yeah but her uncle is probably way back in that village we were in near Agralia, didn't he get like elected leader or something of that place?" he asked Felina

Barbaros smiled "I guess she isn't bad with her temper but isn't it like mating season for you demons round about this time?" he asked Alpha "Maybe Hebal shouldn't go in there" he smirked.

Mari shook her head "Elves are kinda stiff for my liking" she shrugged "I don't think I'll see anyone really interesting" she sighed.

Felina rolled her eyes at Satoshi hugging Oassu back happily "Just ignore Satoshi she is just being silly. But you're right he did get elected as the new elder of that village. It's the elders job to enforce dads law in all the other villages but most of those people are boring and traditional and expect you to be completely covered from head to toe in clothes regardless of the weather" she giggled.

Hayate raised his eyebrow at Alpha glancng down at the bottle. "It's mating season for you already? I thought that wasn't until later in the year. Hmm... now that you mention it, I know Seph took some medicine earlier saying it was for colds but I hadn't heared her sneeze all day."

Satoshi stuck her tongue out before standing up to join Mari. "Most of the elves are a little stiff with the possible exception of Corella so maybe we need to show them how to not live boring lives " she stated shifting her gaze towards Hebal. "So were they up to no good in there?"
