iZann Oh btw random question but when is Lavender going to die? Cuz it was mentioned in the last chapter...) Lavender-butt's gonna die like, a little after the 9-moon timeskip. D: Poor thing.
LAVENDERSTAR
[Lavenderstar blinked a few times, muttering to herself thoughtfully for a moment. Well, since cats don't usually take season-long naps, then she guessed that something really bad probably happend to her. She coughed slightly, still thinking. It was impossible to see any visible signs of what could have happened since any evidence of an injury would be long gone by now. The black leader cleared her throat, turning her attention to Tigerfang once more.] "Well, once Hauntedheart gets back, we'll have her look over you, and then I'll fill you in on what all has happened since you disappeared," [she meowed, nodding to the three. She slowly padded to the Shadowstone, poising herself at the base of his. Her eyes looked around alertly at her camp, watching the hustling and bustling occuring.]

[She sat down next to Eaglesoar, letting out a sigh of both relief and sadness. Relief, because Lavenderstar hadn't
been angry with her, but sadness because she had abandoned her Clan.]
And Eaglesoar...
[She leaned her head against his shoulder, purring quietly despite her grief. It gave her immense comfort to know
Eaglesoar was there with her. A comfort no one else could give. She drank in his scent, and then let out a sharp exhale.]
"I feel so ashamed..." she murmured into his coat.

to be loved. |Foxfur| NightClan+Deputy+Tom+Mentor+In Love+Tough&Independant You are my love, ____________________________________________________________________________________________ [Padding through the forest, dark-furred head held high, the proud deputy of NightClan breathed a quiet sigh of relief. The war with the beasts was over, prey was plentiful, and everyone seemed to be recovering. Everything was going to be alright. Swinging his tail around through the warm air loftily, Foxfur increased his lesuirely pace to a trot, eager to return to camp and place his catches in the pile, then go see Mudnose. Maybe today would be the day she would finally remember that day in the woods, where they both had confessed their love while their Clanmates fought at the Gathering. She had passed out not soon afterwards, and woke up with no collection of what had happened. Irritation entered the deputy's eyes, mainly directed towards himself. If Mudnose never remembered, Foxfur didn't know if he had it in him to confess once more. He wasn't tomly (manly? razz ) enough to do it. Shaking his head, Foxfur ducked under a branch and entered the camp, amber eyes quickly searching for his leader, then for Mudnose. Ever since the battle, the deputy had been feeling very overprotective towards Lavenderstar, because of the wounds she had recieved, but he knew better than to voice his concern. The proud she-cat would never admit to being tired or feeling weak. Foxfur had to admit, he admired her. As his eyes fell on Lavenderstar's familiar pelt, he looked slightly to the left and spotted Eaglesoar, no big deal, then next to him was..
Tigerfang?
Squinting, he blinked a few times, surprised. He hadn't seen her in moons! Shaking his head, he snorted, it was probably just a trick of the light, and the cat next to Eaglesoar was just another NightClan warrior, most of them looked similar anyways. Nodding to himself, he padded over to the fresh-kill pile and laid his catches down, grabbing the lizard specifically for Mudnose, knowing her fondness of them. Smiling slightly, he proceeded to Hauntedheart's den and ducked in, feeling his mood lift at seeing Mudnose. A grin spread acoss his muzzle, and he padded up to her, dropping the lizard at her paws] "Hey lazy, how're you feeling?" [I ish back from my semi-two week hiatus ^.^ Mudnose is still in the medicine den, right?] _____________________________________________________________________________________________ You are my life. [I stared emptily down at my paws, vaguely aware of my tail's rhythmic twitching. I shot curses at myself in my head. I was such a moron, and the worst friend ever! Oh, the things that Foxfur must have thought about me now. I weakly tried to reassure myself that it had to be a delusion. Yes, a delusion from the snake venom! It had to have been! But the cold feeling of doubt still made my fur rise. It probably hadn't been a dream. But how could I find out if it had or hadn't happened?
At that moment, a scaly lizard was dropped at my paws. I blinked happily, but the voice that came next probably froze my blood. I didn't greet the tom, but instead looked up at him. I cleared my throat.] "Hey, did I say anything weird to you last night....or three days ago, rather?" Blinking, he looked down at the she-cat, cocking his head to the side. As her words hit him, Foxfur started slightly. Did she really remember? It seemed as though she did. Taking a breath, he forced a smile, tickling Mudnose's side with his tail gently as he paused for a few moments, debating his response. How could he answer this? "Uh yes, you confessed your love then TOTALLY FAINTED!' or "Well, not that I recall". StarClan, why did everything have to be so complicated? When couldn't she just remember? Ugh. Okay. Shifting, Foxfur nodded] "Uh yeah, you did. I wouldn't call it weird though.." [Alright, just stop there. Don't ramble on, just wait for her to respond. Deep breath, deep breath Straightening up, Foxfur fell silent, dark eyes unreadable] _____________________________________________________________________________________________ You are my life. [Eaglesoar stayed silent as Tigerfang explained herself to Lavenderstar. His leader seemed to have taken the news well, and he hoped that Hauntedheart would be back as soon as possible. When he felt her head against his shoulder, he relaxed and purred, brushing his tongue over the top of her head, relishing her sweet scent.]
"While we wait for Hauntedheart, do you want to go for a hunt? Or do you want to rest?"
[One of the things he hated most was sitting around doing nothing, he hated feeling useless. As for a "hunt", it should prove quite entertaining...Eaglesoar wasn't a particularly good hunter, in fact his skills were quite abysmal. She felt a smile pull at her lips as she realized that she had probably purred more with Eaglesoar than she had in her entire life. Normally, if it were any other tom, she would have scolded herself for such frivolity.
But it was Eaglesoar, and he was the only tom that could make her ice-cold demeanor melt within an instant.]
[She looked up and pricked her ears as she heard him ask her whether she wanted to hunt or rest. She certainly wasn't tired, and she didn't want to sit around doing
nothing. But she was abysmal at hunting...but then again, so was Eaglesoar.]
Oh boy...this should be fun... she thought.
"Let's hunt," she said, looking up at him with a rare, mischievous smile. "We may not catch a single piece of prey, but it should still prove interesting..."

Blinking solemly, Foxfur leaned down so the two were nose to nose. A few moons before, he would've never dared go this close to a she-cat, let alone any cat, but after spending so much time with Mudnose, he had come out of his shell and returned to his confident self, the way he used to be before Fathom became Blood and everything went to shambles. The deputy had lost all hope at that point, but slowly, he had regained his old self has he became closer and closer to Mudnose. He remembered with fondess the day she had tried to annoy him, flicking him with her tail, trying to irk the giant tom. He liked to think it was that day he started to fall in love with her. Grinning slightly, Foxfur snapped back into reality and and poked Mudnose's muzzle with his own, dark amber eyes warm and bright] "Well Mudnose, if I remember correctly, you confessed your love to me. But, of course, I understand that your words weren't exactly reliable at that moment because of your bloodloss and state of mind, but, you know, a tom can hope.." [ Songpaw's heavy eyes opened slowly and began to lighten. Her whiskers twitched, and she notified that she was sleeping next to a tree The tree felt rough, and she had chipped tree bark on her side. Songpaw quickly popped up to her paws, and began to stretch. Songpaw decided to look for someone to play with. ]
" Hi world! I just woke up from a nap! Anyone wanna play? "
[ Songpaw cried, happily. She felt like she was the sunlight brightening everyone's day at the moment. ]
Is ready for ANYTHING. [[ Feel free to play with her, because I shall be active now! " ]]

"Hah! Aim small miss little, we'll just aim to catch one."
[Eaglesoar purred as he gave Tigerfang's shoulder a playful shove, quickly scooting sideways to avoid her retaliating shove, if any was coming. Smiling happily, he led the way into the forest, sniffing hard for any scents of prey. When was the last time he had hunted with her? It was so long ago that he didn't even remember. Ignoring the fact that he was grinning like a stupid idiot, he lifted his nose and sniffed hard. Nothing. Not a single scent of prey. Usually it won't be surprising considering his tracking skills weren't exactly the best in the clan, but even so, usually the amount of noise he made from failing at being stealthy was enough to send birds overhead flying away in alarm. So why weren't there any this time?
His question was almost instantly answered by a charging stampede of various prey animals. Lizards, nice, squirrels, even the rare rabbits in Nightclan were charging in their way. His eyes widened and his hackles rose, making him look bigger than he already was. Why, the prey were literally running into their open jaws! Moving by pure instincts, Eaglesoar snapped his jaws around the back of a rabbit's neck, snapping it instantly. It was the first rabbit he ever caught in his life...even in this situation, he had to be proud of himself.
Almost as quickly as the stampede had come, the wave of animals had charged past them, heading into the direction of...Nightclan camp. His eyes widened in horror as he hissed to Tigerfang, dropping the rabbit in shock.]
"What...was that?"
[He was almost too shocked to react. Usually on a hunt he would be lucky if he even saw a mouse, but this time the prey had literally just brushed past him. It wasn't normal...in fact, it was far from it. It was as if the prey were running from something, something far scarier than the camp site of their predators.]
"We have to head back...We have to tell Lavenderstar!"

Rolling her eyes slightly at his shove and his hasty retreat, she kept her eyes on Eaglesoar's tail as he headed into the forest, going through all the possible ways of how she could fail miserably at hunting. Who's bright idea was this again?]
"I'm gonna catch one--" she started to say before she heard a chorus of rumbling and rustling.
[She immediately pricked her ears and assumed an offensive position, but was surprised to find that it wasn't a stampede of badgers, as she had at first conjectured, but a stampede of...
Of prey.
They didn't even stop to run away from the two big tabbies, and merely swarmed around their paws, seemingly desperate to get away. But from what? Eaglesoar was right. They needed to tell Lavenderstar right away.]
"Right then let's--"she said before turning around and abruptly stepping on a mouse with a large paw. "...go..."

Can Songpaw come with us?" [Rainpaw fired the eager questions at her.]
[I, Starkcloud, looked up from my grooming to see my apprentice bounding towards me. I smiled, and, not for the first time, I was glad that he had returned. So, smiling at him, I stood up and faced his firing questions.] "Of course she can. If that's alright with her mentor" [I meowed and then padded over to Songpaw] "Songpaw. Do you want to come hunting with me and Rainpaw?" [I asked softly, with Rainpaw dancing from paw to paw beside me. Despite how much love I've shown

[ I snorted and rolled my eyes at him, bouncing onto the log and sending it rocking for a few moments.]
"I already call you that, silly," I scolded. [Despite my critical tone, my eyes glittered with friendliness.]
"I suppose your past is your business. Sorry for being nosy. Is jus'...ah, nevermind. If you wanna be all lonesome in a maze of caves, that's your business. But there's a Clan nearby-I'm part of it y'see-and, well, most of the times we're good with accepting anyone who needs a home. So if y'ever changed your mind that'd be good. My mother, Lavenderstar, would prolly letcha in if you really wanted to."
[I beamed up at him with innocent hope, my tail flicking.]
"I'm sure everyone'd be thrilled to meet the Phantom of the Hollow! The kits have the wildest stories boutcha. It's quite the talk around our parts."
[I let my arm hang over the side of the log, paw caressing the water as it passed. My eyes narrowed in contentedness and a soft purr rose in my throat.]
"You don't have to say yes though," I murmured gently. "'S just an idea. A nice one...but jus' an idea..."
[The water was soothing and seemed to calm my mind, and I felt a grand peace come over me. Even though these caves were dark and gloomy, they were very quiet and secluded. Like cool water on a hot newleaf day.]
"I could see why you'd want to stay, though," I sighed contentedly. "This place sure is nice. Apart from the deadly collapsing tunnels, that is...but still nice."
[I let my chin rest on the log as we floated back to the other side, forearm still resting in the water. My tail-tip flicked with cheerfulness, and the soft purr had risen to a loud, happy purr.
The Phantom really had it made out here. No Clan to constantly fuss over, no mouths to feed but your own. Sometimes I felt myself longing for that.
But then I always remembered how strong my Clan was, how great my Clanmates were, and I knew I needed the companionship and the group that toiled alongside her. It wasn't that bad, she realized. Not bad at all...
Then I remembered my apprentice and sighed unhappily, hoping he was okay. I had, after all, been gone for a day!
All at once, I felt a loud rumble from the far, far surface. It was temporary but strong, and the cieling above us shook very slightly. Small pebbles of dirt dislodged from the roof overhead came plopping into the river, sprinkles of dust following their wake.
I stared up with round eyes, blinking with a worried glance.]
"What in the world was that?" I muttered, a frown showing in my eyes.
((Which reminds me...someone plz notice she's not around ;u; She's gone for a day and nobody seems to notice. I mean I knew she was detached from her Clan but DANG! Dx ))

[I looked at Songpaw as I awaited the young apprentice's answer. I sat down and curled my fluffy tail around my paws. I sighed and began to think about what had happened in the past little while. I looked around as thoughts pondered through my head. Then I remembered something. Tigerfang was back. I smiled, this was good. Lavenderstar was still a great leader, and Puresun was.... Wait a moment... Where was the warrior? I stood up and looked around] "Be right back. You think Songpaw" [I raced around camp. I poked my head into the warriors den, then raced to the medicine cat's den, then all the other placed I could think of. Where was Puresun?! I shook my head and raced to Lavenderstar's den. I skidded to a stop at the entrance] "Lavenderstar?" [I called into her den, I sat down as I waited for her to say I could come in]
