You could say that. I am VERY anxious to watch the movie. It comes out on Feb 12th.
Here is a good clip, only about a minute, but you get the idea of the character.
Never been much for the X-files. Not sure why, just didn't grab me.

I am familiar with him, as his clippings from the comic books of his irreverent comedy have become memes (force-feeding ground beef to vegetarians, his "common sense" tingling).
Not a huge fan of X Files either, but it's watchable.

X-files. Gilmore Girls. NCIS. These are the bread and butter for my wife's viewing and I have zero interest in them at this point. if ever. Drives me nuts and makes me dive into youtube as hard as possible. xp

Couldn't stand the rate of conversation in GG. As for police/crime shows like NCIS, they're usually dime a dozen. I really like the heist show Leverage.

My family likes the snarkiness of the main characters, but I never connected with them at all. They are just annoying to me. As for crime dramas, you are right. With minor tweaks, they all feel the same and showcase the worst of society. I get so sick of seeing/hearing about murderers and crime. Just bleh. Leverage was okay, I liked that, but it fizzled out. A good show that stuck with me for far longer was Burn Notice. That one was not about solving crimes as much as just tricking people that are guilty into getting what they deserve. Had some great humor in there as well.
EDIT: I just noticed how polar opposite our avis are, Snowman. ^_~

Hm, I may have to take a look at Burn Notice, then.
So they are! smile

Indeed, Burn Notice puts a fair amount of action in, a lot of humor for a drama as it is, and has Bruce Campbell as part of the main cast. If you enjoy goofy humor, mixed with spy stuff and bending the rules of law, it is a good series.

Yes, I very much like the spy genre, especially its classic and campy spy periods. Detective stories are also a lot of fun, noir a great mix with it.

I definitely like some things in the super genre, but overall not a fan. Anime is my main genre (even though it's more of an art form/medium than a genre).

I view anime as similar to movies, or tv programs. It is less of a genre, and more of a medium. Anime is the video form of Manga, and those are written for as many audiences as exist. From the very cutesy aimed at young girls, to the pornography for lusting teenage males, to the dramas for housewives, and the myriad inbetween. Thus, anime has too many genres to count.

It's downright odd to have somebody be extremely enthusiastic about seeing you that you barely remember and having to admit that while the name sparks a hint of recognition, you have to say "Where do I know you from???"

Alas, the boon/detriment of online school. You rarely recognize a face, only a name. If that.
