Now that he had found his rear end with both hands so to speak, he could continue reading the scroll in peace. The next land spoken of was in the far north-west of the map and was referred to as the land of earth. The writer of the scroll apparently had little to no knowledge about it, because he wrote almost nothing aside from the fact that it was a very desolate and rocky area covered in mountains. No, he had written something else. It appeared that occasionally the winds that blew across the northern mountains caused rocks to fall like rain. None of that was really helpful, so Kiyoshi decided to just move on. There had to be more important things to read about on this scroll; things that were a little more detailed than that little blurb about an otherwise powerful nation.

The scroll started talking about a large country to the north-east, called the land of lightning. How a land could be made out of electricity was anyone's guess, but that wasn't important. Apparently it was full of mountain ranges and large thunderstorms, both of which gave the country its name. If that was the case, how did anyone live there? Not that it mattered much, because he knew that this scroll was little more than an overview of the other nations in the world. He would have to look this kind of thing up later, when he had more time to do so. Research was rather fun now that he was doing better at it. A smart shinobi lived to fight another day, while a dumb shinobi was outsmarted and killed by his enemies. It was literally live or die in this case.

It was here that the scroll decided to give up on him yet again by telling him to look at a separate scroll in the depository. Growling in annoyance he rolled the piece of parchment up and ran back over to the large wall of scrolls. He spend a few minutes searching, but at least this time the scroll had told him where he was supposed to look. Even so, it was still a good waste of his time, and he hated wasting time almost as much as he hated failing at things. Now that he had the scroll in his possession, and after checking that it actually was what he wanted, he ran back to his desk, unrolling the scroll and holding it down with a few loose paperweights. This time, hopefully nothing would get in his way while he was studying.

It appeared that there were more nations than he had realized in the world. How they weren't all absorbed by one another in the countless wars were beyond him, but that wasn't really important right now. He had to focus on the task at hand. The land of wind seemed to be a very powerful land, controlled by a powerful daimyo and home to ninjas who fought in the desert. Considering the land was covered in a massive desert, it was good that they were able to adapt in such a harsh land. Compared to there, the village hidden in the leaves must have seemed like a paradise to them. Of course they might actually like living out there, free of all the perils that living in the trees might grant you. They probably didn't have to deal with lots of dangerous beasts... but there were of course other dangers as well.

It appeared that now that he had gone through all of the large nations, there wasn't exactly much else to talk about. Instead, there were a large amount of small nations that did little to nothing else except exist. The first one on that list was the land of the waves, which seemed to do nothing except remain neutral most of the time. It had no ninja village, but it was close to the land of fire, and as such it most likely gave out contracts to the village in the leaves so that it could be protected against other villages. Why the water nation hadn't taken it over as a way to launch incursions into the fire nation was a question that wasn't answered, but hopefully it would be one day. Until then, he had more information to digest.

Another nation that seemed relatively uninteresting was called the land of iron. Again, Kiyoshi figured that the author of this scroll hadn't actually been there because of the pitiful amounts of information on it. The scroll said it had powerful warriors, but at the same time that had never actually involved themselves in any shinobi wars. But if that was the case, why did they have a military at all? And furthermore if they had never been in any wars, how did anyone know how strong their nation actually was? It was like saying you had some kind of product that could work miracles, but then wouldn't let anyone try it out before buying it. It sounded like this was a rumor more than a fact, but it was all he had to go on right now. There would be time to figure more out later.

Like the land of iron, the land of snow was relatively unremarkable. Even though he had never really seen snow before, because the temple was far to hot to let anything that cold near it, he assumed that it was a very harsh climate to live in. That would also explain why they were such a minor country. Still, tough climates made for tough men and women. It seemed to have some kind of hidden village, but nothing was said about it. How any ninjas could live there, and how they could even operate in such a small nation was hard to understand, but then again there had to be a reason. If there were still ninjas there, Kiyoshi hoped to one day meet them in battle. After all, fire and ice would be quite the test of strength, and any disciples of Thyrm would be given a run for their money against him.

Finally after all that work he had studied enough for now. He felt like his head was going to explode, and he hadn't even made it to class. He would need to get there soon, so after replacing the scroll, he made the required offerings to Surtur in the temple, got a blessing from the priest, and left the temple. The academy couldn't be that hard to get to right? Still, he hoped his instructor wasn't too dangerous, because he planned to do the best he could in the situation he was in. It also helped that he had a never say die attitude. Regardless it wouldn't be easy to do, and he didn't want it to be. If the challenge wasn't tough then it wasn't a challenge, and as such it wasn't worth doing. Ninjas had to be tough to survive, and he wanted to be the toughest.

Felix Silverlight

Relatively private huh? ...Felix, for the life of him, could not think of a single place that was private in Konoha. It was a natural enough village, with strict military regulations to be sure, but the streets and buildings would almost always be full of villagers before the curfew at night. And so Felix walked with her out into the street, he had not noticed that she breathed out frost, because he wasn't watching her at the time... though he had noticed her hand was chilly... and his own continued to compensate with increased warmth.
Finally after walking down a few streets, an idea occurred to him, and he led her around one particularly tall building, before turning to shrug at her and point up to the rooftop. Of course, he knew she was a ninja, he had seen her use the substitution technique. So he was fairly certain she would have no problems getting up there.
Felix let go of her hand suddenly, planting one foot onto the brick of the building's side and with about twenty five paces running he had reached the top of the building. He reached out, taking hold of the edge of the roof, which jutted out over the wall a little bit, and pulled himself into a flip, coming around and landing on his feet on the rooftop.
After a moment, Felix took a seat, dangling his feet over the edge of the drop and waiting on her.

Nakamura watched in silence while Felix scaled the building that stood before them. She stayed on the ground while he scaled up to the roof, eventually leaving only his dangling legs in view. That should suffice. she thought to herself, taking note of his chakra control. Instead of performing an amazing feat with her jutsu, she too, followed Felix's lead. She could feel the chakra coursing through her body. From that vantage point it would be possible for her to view the surrounding area for possible holding cells.

Her right boot stepped gently onto the building and her left followed in suit. She continued walking in a slow pace until she reached the edge of the roof. She didn't feel the need to perform, so instinctively, she continued walking up the side, following the contours of the building until she walked past Felix's legs.

" This should be fine." her calm, yet silent tone now audible so he wouldn't have to strain to hear her. She pulled the cloak up and over her right hand, revealing the stolen scroll clutched tightly in her fist. Her left hand then grabbed ahold of the hood on her cloak. slowly, she moved it, up and off of her head, revealing her face and the upper portion of her ponytail. Her eyes remained teal while she faced the west. Turning her body towards the east, she opened the scroll in front of her face, examining it thoroughly. There has to be something here... her thoughts portrayed the wheels turning inside of her head. Amadeus must have left something for to find.

Felix sat in silence for a small bit of a moment. His legs stretched over the edge of the roof, just feeling the wind across his face and hair. He watched her, noticing the color of her hair more than anything, it was not a common color... at least in Konoha, he was certain that it was not.
Felix could have started out by simply saying that she did not look like she was from around here... or that she could not be anbu, because she was not wearing a mask, or pointed out that she was not bearing a visible forehead protector of Konoha... but he just sat in silence for a little bit. After all, as far as he was aware, it was quite impossible to infiltrate a village this strongly fortified.
"...You know... I was just reading a story about a lady like you... She had white hair.." Felix nodded, remembering the history he had 'just' literally read while he was in the library.

Her eyes continued to read through the scroll. There were mentions of the Fifth Dawn, but it didn't look like the effort was worth obtaining it. Her hands quickly wrapped the scroll back into it's sealed state. She'd need to examine it back in Takigakure where she could be certain that she wasn't going to be seen. This intricate scroll... hardly held anything she didn't already know at first glance. She let a rather audible sigh, exhaling a small coating of frost upon the seal of the scroll, hardening it to make it look unopened. What was more interesting to her at the moment was what Felix had just said to her.

"It's possible, but I'm not the only one in this world with white hair." she answered, turning to face him. "But I'm sure you don't believe everything this village tells you. " she added with a light smile and a wink. "You see... not everything is the truth nor is it always told to it's shinobi within the confines of this villages' systems."

"...Your the only one 'I' know with white hair..." Felix spoke softly.
Felix noticed her this time as her icy breath frosted over the seal of the scroll, and she finished with it. Of course, he was curious still as to what she was looking for, because she had never answered him on that. But what was more interesting to him at the moment, was what she had just said to him.
"...You speak like its not your village?" Felix smiled... it was impossible of course, unless this 'was' the princess?!? ...But no, she could not be... The Princess was not a Ninja... at least, as far as 'he' knew she wasn't...
"...I don't really care so much about the truth though... everyone lies to a kid, because they think they can get away with it." Felix's voice grew silent as he looked away from her, and back out over their splendid view of the village below.
"...This woman also had Ice affinities... which, from what I hear are quite uncommon." He shrugged... closing his eyes once more.
"...I believe a lot more than I should... and I really just want to become strong so that no one will lie to me anymore... so that I can find the truth without having to beg for it.." Felix spoke dishearteningly. In reality, he knew that there was very little he understood about the village... very 'very' little that was told to him... ever. Because he was a kid.

Nakamura knew that feeling all too well. She still hasn't found out what became of her parents all those years ago. She could only presume them dead... unless they are kept prisoner somewhere... but that was unlikely.

"The strength to seek out the truth is a noble goal. The only problem that stands in your way when you get there, is whether or not you have the conviction to withstand that information." she stopped talking for a moment to walk over to the boy. Tucking her hand away, she gently placed the cloaked hand onto his shoulder. She knew that her next words needed to be chosen very carefully.

"This village was never a home to me. Even as an ally of the village, I was kept at an arm's length. This village captured and tortured one of my shinobi for over a year. They kept her hidden in the Hyuuga compund and almost destroyed her chakra network beyond repair. I doubt they speak highly of their war crimes... if it all. Reasons beyond my own, retaliation had yet to befall this village. Now, a year later, and another has gone missing." Nakamura took out the scroll she had hidden away, showing him the seal upon it.

"Does the name Amadeus Rikki sound familiar? Last time I heard from him, he came here. This is the only clue I have of finding him. Though it seems that this entire village is nothing more than a mere prison now."

Felix Silverlight

Felix felt her hand on his shoulder... and he opened his eyes, smiling faintly.
"...So are you going to tell me your name, or should I tell it to you?" He had already introduced himself as Felix, and by now he had placed the rest of the pieces of the puzzle together from her story to know without a doubt who she was. Ironic that he had been reading up on her history just before this then?

"...This village does not speak about 'anything', war crimes or not." Felix stood up slowly, turning to face her, his back to the drop behind. "...I don't know if its because no one trusts us, or if the higher ups are really just to scared to do anything about the current situation."
Felix scowled and looked away from Nakamura, "...If 'I' were in charge, things would be different." His tone did not leave the discussion open about what would have happened to the fire dynamo.

"...I've never heard that name before..." Felix shook his head at her mention of Rikki. But in truth, he was not surprised.
"...Going about their lives... just living peacefully here, doing what they are told 'because' they are told to do it.. no reason, no goal... one day they will fall under the power of the Fire lord, simply because of their own inactivity and stupidity... their lack of ambition." Felix was full out glaring down at the village and the people below... it was obvious that this had been lying dormant in his mind for quite some time now, and was unlocked in her presence.
"...I hate them."
Felix's eyes flashed sharply to connect with her own. He was personally 'quite' fed up with this village, and ready to go see the world with his own eyes. If nothing else, he would swear to come back tenfold as strong.. no, hundred fold. Then he would find the truth... all of it... with or without permission... and he would 'not' be scared. He would not be scared of anyone.
