Marcus McFlufferson That's one creepy-a** dog you can trust with your minis. I trust my dog with my face, but not with my minis. I often don't even trust myself with my minis. WHY IS YOUR DOG JUST LYING THERE? Because if he moved, he wouldn't have an excuse for being asleep and thus unable to get off the bed that he rudely stole from me while I went and got breakfast. That, and he's just a lazy bugger. Have some more examples of 'I refuse to move, regardless of what you put on me' http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v411/sniper123/40k Pics/Photo-0440.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v411/sniper123/40k Pics/Photo-0437.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v411/sniper123/40k Pics/Photo-0270.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v411/sniper123/40k Pics/Photo-0425.jpg

That Vanquisher looks simple but efficient. One thing to point out is that only Forge World Vanquishers have coaxial weapons, the GW version doesn't have one. crying

I-I can't tell if this is supposed to be educated sarcasm at the fact that the Punisher fails at horde killing compared to the bog standard Russ, as the Vanquisher kinda pales in comparison to MeltaVets/Medusa's/Manticores/Vendettas and so on. sweatdrop

Vanquisher with 3 heavy bolters actually isnt bad in counter-horde smile While Punisher with melta sponsons can do some tank disposal. IG isn't like Eldar with their hyperspecialization.

Van Evok Vanquisher with 3 heavy bolters actually isnt bad in counter-horde smile While Punisher with melta sponsons can do some tank disposal. IG isn't like Eldar with their hyperspecialization. For what you pay for the HB/melta sponsons, you might as well just put them on something that has the main gun for the job and won't just waste the shots at whatever they're supposed to be shooting at 90% of the time, since if you're shooting a Vanquisher at a group of Orks, you might as well just have slapped a battle cannon on there and actually done some damage to them besides MAYBE hitting them with a bs3 non-blast shot. The same with the Punisher shooting at tanks, that Heavy 20 str 5 weapon really won't do anything to tanks besides scratching the paintwork (It won't actually do that much against hordes that a battle cannon or Exterminator won't do either, but hey.), so you're paying for a multi-melta that could've gone on something like a Devil Dog, or for some meltas in a Command Squad/Veterans.

well I was running 2 Standard Russ with 1 Demolisher. So now I might run 1 Standard 1 Demolisher 1 Vanquisher. The Standard and the Demo usually hold the line for me while the other standard sits of to the side taking shots at long range.

Well, paying for sponsons is cheaper than buying extra tank or squad... though I have to admit Punisher gatling is over-hyped a bit, because with no ap and crappy bs even 20 shots wont do more damage than pie-plate of doom, especally one allowing no cover twisted
