I got Al's picture put up on the page. whee
Actually, he was never really banned. There were some protesters outside of where he was going to play, so he didn't show up. Because of the breach in his contract to play, he was sued. Legislature honored him in 1979, but they never apologized since they never banned him from playing so saw no reason why they should get in trouble for him getting sued for showing up.
Boy. Gotta love it when college protesters show up to the show.

Huh. I don't know anything about Ray Charles. Biographies aren't very interesting to me unless they're major historical figures... I think George Washington and Andrew Jackson are the only biographies I've given a lot of attention to. And usually those were just so I could better understand their motives for why/how they did things.
Um... G-Georgia's not... really... that's... 6_6;; *can't think of a good defense for sister, but trying* Georgia just knows how to get what she wants is all. She ain't afraid to do what it takes.
That doesn't help at all. In fact, it almost makes it sound worse. sweatdrop

Haha, yeah. Some of my more Northern friends made the comment that Ray was banned and I did all sorts of research on it since I was already researching him for an essay. It turns out that the scene in the movie you probably watched was fabricated. Kinda like most of the stuff they do in "true movies". xd

You make for a valid point. A fight to the death where the winner is who takes power however often we need to do elections for whatever group? Not only would it pick a strong leader, but it could also rid us of a few politicians! xd
