Cassie grabbed a book she forgot.... When she was her room she saw some papers on her desk... it was from the election. Flyers with a picture of herself and Wally... She smiled sadly.
" We never did get to take office... "
Cassie shaked her head and then went off to class. She needed to get over it. But how do you get over losing someone you care about?

No. My mother just didn't kill Wally but Iris as well. Now, dammit, help me! Why won't you help!?
...
If you won't help then I'll go to Dr. Richards and if he won't help then I'll go to Strange. Eventually I will find someone who will help me! I don't care if it's time traveling or raiding the afterlife but I will save Wally and Iris!
*Chris glares right back at Mr. Allen.*

It was then that Mister Allen, for probably the first time in Hero High history, lost his temper. He grabbed Chris by the shoulders and shook him.
"So NOW you're willing to go to the ends of the Earth to help Wally? Not when he'd gotten blinded, not when he started acting strangely? Why weren't you here alerting the teachers to the problem when the warning signs were right in front of you?! You stupid self-absorbed children! You're so busy worrying about running away from your pithy little emotional-"
Barry cut himself off and let go of Chris.
"I'm sorry, Chris. This was as much my fault as anyone elses. I say you should have been paying attention, but the truth is that Wally was my responsibility. I promised his mother and father when he gained his powers that I would do my best to make him into the hero he wanted to be. And this...this was a tremendous failure on my shoulders. And no one elses."
Barry took a deep breath and let it out.
"But I can't say this to you any plainer right now...Wally is in a better place. Let him rest. Leave him be. That is the greatest thing that you or anyone else can do right now. Anything else you try to do will lead to terrible, dire consequences for everyone involved."

*Chris blushed crimson with shame. He knew Mr. Allen was right. They had failed Wally before but he wanted to make it right now.*
It already has had dire consequences, Mr. Allen. Iris gone now too. You say Wally is in a better place? But what about Iris?
...
Why is it the best thing to do nothing? What horrible thing would happen? And before you blow me off as a kid who couldn't handle that information...you trusted kids to fetch him from time. Please trust me with this.

Seven times.
Seven times Billy had gotten chastized by his class teachers for losing his focus and concentration over every subject, as his mind kept going back to the notes he had hidden in his folder for the spell to summon Satana. He couldn't help it. The other kids were counting on him...plus it'd give him the chance he was waiting for to impress Teddy ...
If summoning a dangerous she-demon was something to impress someone with.

It was lunch time... but Cassie wasn't in the cafeteria but in the dojo training with d**k the two were sparing.
' Hey d**k you've been around magic stuff right?"
"That's one way of putting it."
" Do you know about Trigon?"
" Stay away from Trigon!"
" But Wally said..."
" And he's dead now.. Stay the hell away from Trigon!"
With that d**k used a leg sweep tossing Cassie to the floor. He offered her a hand up but still... she couldn't help but wonder if d**k was keeping something from her.

"That was different, Chris. This-"
Barry looked around, at the different students filtering in and out of their classes around his lab.
"This isn't some sort of implied insult to you, or Cassie or any of Wally's friends. This is a dangerous time - you know that better than any of the other students, Chris. And we don't fully understand the circumstances of what happened that night in Midvale Square. To rush in for a quick fix to a circumstance that is beyond our understanding is a fool's errand."
Barry motioned for Chris to walk with him, and the two exited the building and started walking across the campus.
"Two of our Mystic Arts teachers are missing, as is the student Raven Roth. The connection between them all is that each of them was last seen with Wally. Mister Wayne reported that in Midvale Square, when he tried to resuscitate Wally, an energy force tried to trap him within a...well, to my scientific mind, an energy projection field, but to the more imaginative among the staff, a 'summoning sigil.'"
Barry's eyes shifted left and right. Doug Ramsey and Megan Morse walked by, talking as they headed to class.
"And we still don't know to what extent the other children who were involved in that ritual were - or are - still being affected by what happened there."
Barry arrived at his car and unlocked the driver side door.
"Going off half-cocked on any adventure is a recipe for disaster right now. I know it hurts, and I know that everyone wants that hurting to stop as quickly as possible. But believe me when I say this - the best thing you can do right now, for your own sake and Wally's....is nothing."
Barry got into his car and rolled down the window.
"I'm sorry, Chris. I'll see you when my leave of absence is over."
And he drove off.

x _______________________________________________ Class schmass. At least Billy was awake during his. Teddy had opted out of wakefulness, choosing instead to earn those nice wrinkly lines on the side of his face for falling asleep on the sleeve of his shirt. Nobody bothered to wake him up either, and so he spent part of lunch in the classroom too, peacefully drooling on his desk. When he awoke with a start, he quickly wiped his mouth and bolted out the doorway. He was pretty certain he had something to do today. Maybe, if he got really lucky, he could save Billy. Catch him falling from a cliff or something and then carry him Tarzan style to.....
...well...
....his room. Oh man that was so bad, he shouldn't be thinking that. Yeesh. He flopped on his bed, rolling over on his stomach to look at the open comic book laid out before him.

*Chris blinked. That was confusing. How would it be best for Wally's sake if they left him dead? Was that why Mr. Allen was dead set against saving Wally? Did the Peeps attack him due to some weird influence or because they were really angry? What was a summoning sigil?
It seemed clear what needed to be done. Finding Raven and the missing teachers was a lead to finding out what happened with Wally. And if they could figure that out then maybe they could bring him back safely.
Chris went to the girls' dorm and sat down on the steps outside. He knew one thing for sure. Cassie wouldn't like this news.*

After classes Cassie went to boys room and knocked on Billy's door. She hoped that he would help her find Raven... of course they needed to see the succubus first. Cassie sighed and knocked on his door again.
"Billy... are you here?"

The dorm room door blew off of its hinges and Billy came flying out, tumbling head over heels! He sat up, coughing.
"H-Hi *hack!* Cassie! *gags* BOY don't ever make the mistake of mixing wolfsbane and hemlock...*coughs* .. Boy that's a mistake you don't make twice!"
He stands up, fanning his arms at the smoke. He squinted at her through watery eyes.
"So...we gonna do this?"

*coughs and fans the smoke a bit again and inadvertently (yea, right) swatted Teddy across his backside*
Of course I'm sure! This potion was just an extra credit project I was working on for Professor Strange. The spell to get hold of Satana is complex but even *I* can manage it!
*looks around*
I guess the others can't come? That's okay. Three is a strong number magic-wise.
