Atypical User so many things our young minds should learn and they make 'em write about great gatsby. dumb stressed Fitzgerald was a famous writer, but no one can understand his writing in my class. For me, his story jumps around too much for me to get a clear picture in my head on what is going on.

Yes, it is and is beautiful till some part...but always leave the reader a sense or question about, if it was an existentialist novel or a poetic display about the pointlessness of life. Or perhaps a game of imagination unattached to the experience.
The book in my opinion talks about the irregularity and the premeditation of a decadent era charming yet somewhat materialist and a bit elitist. But is always preferred by the teachers because somehow make think to some idiotic teenagers. And preferred by the public because the humans always wanted to return to the past to where the things were good somehow and the people was innocent by attitude and thinking.

If you can give an answer to certain questions that establish this book on your brain, then you barely are opening your eyes to the life and start worrying about other things that are not so material and suppose to be unearthly.

The book's theme is not a problem with me, it is just how it is written is my problem with the book.

Galatea Skylark What do you mean by written? What I mean by written is that it "jumps around" too much for me to get a clear picture in my mind on what is happening.

Ohh! it easy...
You see, is a extravagant chronic similar to those currently written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez One line description would be:
Description of the characters including the fantastic ones Then it becomes a love story After a bloody history given by coincidences and misunderstandings And there ends.
