Sammy raised an eye brow as she heard the new voice. "No thank you," she replied, grinning at the boy. "Nice to meet you. I'm Samantha. What brings you to Aqua?" she asked.

"I go by Vu. Pleasure to meet you Samantha." Vu said before heading to the kitchen. He opened up the the fridge's door to grab out a cold bottle of Pepsi. After closing the door and uncapping the bottle, he walked out and responds to Samantha's question. "What brought me here to Aqua eh? A portal... And a mind for adventure." A sip was taken from the bottle before taking a seat back down.

Sammy smirked a bit. "A portal, eh?" she asked snickeringly. Okay, now time to see if this guy had anything she would want to try and learn. "I know this is going to sound odd, but do you have any... abilities? Most people do when they come to Aqua, or they aquire them as they go. I'm just curious, as I was -sadly- one of the few that came without powers," she stated, sounding as if she was just an innocent little child who was questioning and adult about the ways of life.

Vu found her question funny, though most probably wouldn't. "Powers? I'd wish. If I had powers, I'd have probably changed my life. I'm sorry, but I do not have any powers... That I'm aware of currently." A thought came into his mind. "You said that members of Aqua acquire these powers gradually, correct? Why is this?"

Sammy grinned a bit more. Perhaps this person could be useful yet, as it seemed he also hungered for power. "Many people here learn them from the older Aquans, and some get in accidents, and some, like me, are genetically altered to be more physically capable of the tasks given to us," she stated very formally. If he wanted power, that might mean that he would understand her view point.

"First a weird event in the underworld. Next an underwater base on an island. Then supernatural powers? Team Aqua is full of many surprises..." An image of flying pigs being kept in a secret lab was in Vu's mind. Vu takes a sip from his bottle.

"Not supernatural," Sammy corrected, "genetically enhanced or trained. Nothing here is so special that someone in the regular world couldn't possibly have the same power. But I digress, let's stop this talk about power. Have you enjoyed yourself so far?" she asked, standing up slightly and arching her back in a stretch.

"I guess. Though my room smells weird. Who was the last person that was in the room before me?" Vu asked with a curious image in his mind. The idea of a giant fat man who farted a lot crossed his thought.

Sammy shrugged a bit. "This is a fairly new HQ, so it's possible that there wasn't anyone in that room before you... But that might just be the natural smell of HQ. Sweat and food. Looooots of food," she snickered, thinking of all the nights she had stayed up watching movies and eating chips. Her room had been a mess afterwards.

"I'd ask if I could switch rooms, but I'm too lazy to move all my stuff from one room to another." Vu stated while turning on the TV and the Wii. The game Super Smash Pokemon Brawl was already in. Placing his pepsi bottle down and grabbing a control, Vu asked, "Wanna play?"

Sammy nodded. "Sure," she responded, grabbing a remote and preparing herself to play. She'd played this game before, albeit not that much. She wasn't one to play a lot of video games. "I admire the ideals of this game," she stated in her attempts to see if this guy was worth trying to recruit, "because these pokemon... They have power and all and, unlike most, they're doing something with it. Something productive."

Sammy grimaced. Appearantly he didn't understand and her attempts were futile. "I suppose someone like you would see it as that," she muttered, not really caring anymore.

"You wouldn't understand. It's a bit more... complex than a game," she muttered, purposefully saying it with a mocking tone. If only she had met Vu a week or so earlier; then she would have been the normal hyper, happy Sammy she always had been. Until now, that is.
