Can someone give a rundown on how specific the post format is? I’ve been looking at others in order figure out the format but they are all very different. Is there a specific layout that I should follow?

There isn't any specific layout you need to have, that's the good thing!
But there are certain elements you will need.
That only includes the character name and picture. And that's per the rules!
o Everyone is required to have a posting format per character! These formats will need to include your character's name and a character picture. You're free to make it as simplistic as possible so long as we and others can see who you're posting as.
