All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches! Let it hereby be announced that:Sanguinius grimaced as he dodged out of the way of most of the creature's swipes, but getting a little battered in the process. He frowned and looked around again before the page tried to break his grip on it. Concentrating on hold it, he turned and flew off as fast as he could, just trying to get away from everything, perhaps to destroy the page, as even he was starting to feel its influence attempt to sway him....that is all

Tigris chased and swiped at him again, her target being the page.

Mana ran off after Sanguinius. He wasnt giong to just give up now. He disregarded Tigris, he didnt think anything of her because she wasnt hurting him. Mana was hoping that with her as a distraction, Sanguinius would drop the page.

Barick pulled his hand away so that Gab would miss. He was hoping to agitate Gab enough that he'd chase him.

The Page suddenly surged with more energy, the mist oozing off of it collecting around Sanguinis as easy as though he werent moving. another presence suddenly washed over the area, equal to Espio, and the page, in terms of pushing itself. from ahead of Sanguinius, a shadow rose up, from the ground, taking on the form of the reaper, taking one leap towards Espio, but not threatening him. it was clear his focus on a whole was the page. as he jumped, from within his seemingly impossibly deep cloak, he drew his scythe, slashing up, at the page in Sanguinius' hands.
Leonard looked up at the reaper, and groaned. he had no idea what was going on now... things had become hectic to an extreme.
The Reaper took his chance when he saw the page of the book within the grasp of a mortal like Sanguinius, trying to destroy the accursed thing, the only one there with a grasp of just what it was the page was capable of.

All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches! Let it hereby be announced that:Sanguinius gritted his teeth, confronted with more things than he could handle. He held the page up as a shield, hoping those in pursuit of him would not continue their attacks were the only result of it to destroy the page. "Go ahead, destroy your precious page!"...that is all

The Reaper took that chance, swinging the scythe into the page, out of Sanguiniu's hands... but it didnt cut. it caught on the blade, wrapping around it, and confused, the Reaper looked at it, as the page glowed. then, with a crack like lightning, the Reaper went flying down, into the ground, hard, trailing the black mist that made up his cloak, his scythe floating midair, the page wrapped around the blade, the text flowing, into the shape of an eye, which looked first at the Reaper, then Sanguinius, then Mana, and Gab, before it seemed to draw the Scythe into itself, and turning, slowly, the page shot what seemed to be a chain from it, into the Reaper, energy arcing along the chain from the Reaper into the page. the Reaper, at the ground end of things, began to writhe, pained, as the page drew energy from him, to fuel itself. screaming, the Reaper couldnt do anything, except shout "CUT IT! CUT IT CUT IT CUT IT!!!!! GAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches! Let it hereby be announced that:[[[I agree with Ukyo, adding in my own, cynical: "If just a page could do all this crap, why did the entire book even need a human to help it along? It's got to be of demigod power in and of itself"]] ...that is all

(The page, up until the reaper hit it with his scythe, the embodyment of his own power, could not do anything more than try and influence those around it. the moment it touched the Reaper's scythe though, it got a bit of a boost, giving it enough power for the book to try and scyphon off more, to give to its master. once you cut the chain, the page will be back to being weak, so long as the Reaper doesnt touch it again. the book in and of itself is a creation of the ancients, embodying old and powerful magics the ancients tried to get rid of. without either being in contact with a fairly pure magic source, such as the reaper, who is in and of himself mostly consisting of magic, it has no way to release its own magic. thats why its had to have fog use it.)
