Skotti's boots had no tread, but he wrapped some fabric around them anyway. Skotti had a night vision implant in his eyepatch, so he just tapped on it and it activated.

Pen fell out of the couch around 4:30am which woke the elf up for a moment. Then with yawn she curled up into a ball and kept to sleeping on the floor. You would think she would remember she had an open bed.

Pen grudgingly woke back up to find Faye standing over her. She heard something like "that can't be comfortable." Judging that was the reasoning for Faye's actions she slowly sat herself up and gave a very tired smile.

"Thank you," she yawned and started to blink to get used to the lighting again. "A little late for you to be awake though," Pen surmised since it was pretty late when she fell asleep on the couch.

(Sorry Moon we need to get going.)

After a small chat with Faye, Pen managed to get some sleep on the couch again. Explaining to Faye it was for when the Bosses got home Pen was going to "rip them a new one" when they got home. She was able to get a couple hours of sleep before the phone in the office began to ring.

"Skotti, phone," she moaned out loud to the lobby as if a lazy kid not wanting to answer. When the ringing did not stop Pen finally mustered all the strength she had to get the phone.

------An hour passes.

Pen sat back in Skotti's chair and rubbed her temples. The calls all were about the same; random killings reported by those under Kuro Protection. Shop keepers, allies, scared families, yet no word from the Don. Only two kills mentioned of seeing the only too missing operatives in the Black Ops.

"What the, what are, AHHH!" She looked over to the clock, "Why can't a crisis ensue other than in the morning." Shaking her head and taking a deep breath she reached for the intercom.

"All Operatives to Skotti's office." Her voice sounded cold and harsh over the speaker. She leaned back in the chair and prepared herself to give the news.

Now bloodied up and weak, Ellen weakly shook her head at Luciano, ". . . Please,. . no more. . ." Luciano grabbed her by the hair and aggressively pulled her head back, pressing the gun to her neck, "Give me ******** answers NOW!!" Luciano shot out her shoulder and before Ellen could scream he shoved a piece of the bed sheet into her mouth. "I WANT ANSWERS, ELLEN!!! NOW!!!" Ellen screamed and cried, finally she took the bed sheet out of her mouth and she submitted, "Alright!!. . Alright!!. . . just don't kill me. . ." Luciano bound up her hands, and kept his gun pointed at her, "******** talk, then. . ." Ellen sniffled and looked up at him, "I knew that if I told you he had a family, you wouldn't kill him- Ricci showed me your file, and I could read you like a ******** book," Luciano was almost in shock, "Ricci told you to do this?" "No, he owes me money. But since I'm not 'playing for the right team' he's denying me my money. So I thought if I sent you out to kill Ray that he would know I can control you as easily as he does." Luciano clenched his jaw and then he looked away for a moment, ". . . But he is genuinely being threatened?"
"Yes! And I know who, too!"
"Alright, who?"
"I can't tell you- I'll be dead before you even get to him."
"Who, Damn it?!!"
Ellen cried a bit more and then she shouted, "ALLISTAR!!! Allistar Brozen!! Your uncle!!!"
Luciano growled and clenched his fists. His uncle was the one who had his parents brutally murdered. And the one thing he hated more than Vampires was the man he once called family. Luciano was now so infuriated that he could take on an entire army. He looked down at her, he knelt down and he said, ". . . We're going to take you to a hospital. . . and then I'll put you into protective custody." before Skotti could protest, and Luciano knew that he would, he got up, threw Ellen over his shoulder and then drove out to Durem to put Ellen in the Hospital.

As the entire gang emerged from there comfy beds, Pen mulled over on how to give the information. The proof was questionable, all here say nothing very concrete. The family was all hushed up about it which either means they are responsible or they are unsure about it themselves.

However what evidence that they did have, lead to the Boss and Luc going off and pursuing their own version of justice. An activity punishable by being thrown out and being on the bingo list.

As the gang sat themselves down Pen stood at the head of the table with a stern look.

"We have a mission. I and Waffle will be leading." She waited for a moment for that to sink in. Pen also wanted to make sure she didn't say anything that would cause an upset.

Pen contiued still not quite herself.

"We got a couple of rogue agents that have been causing some uproar in the communities. Barton, Durem and maybe even Gambino; we need track them down. Then either hold them for questioning or eliminate if they don't come willingly."

Pen tossed a map to Waffle along with a list of operatives she will be taking. She continued, "Now I will be taking a team to Barton to investigate one of the victims deaths, Waffle you'll be taking the one here in Durem. Information tells us your victim was a werewolf and mine a vampire. We will gather what evidence we can and rendezvous at the Port of Gambino."

Pen took a breath and looked out on the sleepy bunch. Should I tell them.. who we are hunting?

"Oh great." Waffle said, her sarcasm not lessened one bit. "It's funny how Luciano and Skotti have been gone for a while, and now we're heading out to look for 'victims' being killed by these 'rogue agents'."

Waffle looked straight into Pen's eyes.
"They had something to do with this, didn't they?" she asked. Her voice sounded unusually cold.
