I have pretty much decided that I cannot afford to go to NYCC, either monetarily or time-wise. It's better spent drawing than traveling.
But so help me, if another member of Arashi goes to that convention when I'm not there, I'm going to scream.
Are any of you going to SDCC? And if so, could I persuade you to pick something up for me?

I've always wanted to go to NYCC, but it's always during the beginning of the school year, which is just bad timing for me to take it off. (I'm a teacher.)

July MC! Finally something I can use! The Ithilldyn Armor would look great for Witchblade's armor... Especially Danielle's since in primarily a lighter color. I'm just ~50 cash away from getting it. heart

JackHorner I've always wanted to go to NYCC, but it's always during the beginning of the school year, which is just bad timing for me to take it off. (I'm a teacher.) If you ever have the opportunity, I recommend it. It's a wonderful con, and even though it's too packed now for my comfort, I still have a great time. You get to meet a lot of truly wonderful artists and frankly, the best comic parties are all in Brooklyn.

I find myself suddenly interested in an X title or two. I see Gambit is a guest star in the X-23 series, but more importantly, he's back on the official team in the Legacy title. But here's what caught my interest even more; a new member to the team... Joanna Cargill aka Frenzy. Former Acolyte and X-enemy, and the same Joanna from our own Hero High. That has me greatly interested to see how they handle her attempts to be a hero after the AoX arc.

I just found out that a girl I knew since fifth grade died last night. It sounds like it was probably suicide. We were in band together and often carpooled because we played the same instrument. I'm in shock. I haven't talked to her in almost 11 years but she found me on facebook along with the circle of people I hung out with in high school.
I so deeply regret not getting a chance to reconnect.

The past couple of days, it seems I've been having a minor annoyance with playing videos online, such as youtube, etc. The track works fine, but every once in awhile the video will have a brief freeze (micro second, etc) then skip ahead to catch up with the audio. I did a system clean and it helped but its still not perfect. Can't help but wonder what the problem is.
(EDIT) I just tried a DVD and it plays fine. It seems to just be online videos like youtube, etc I'm being hinky with. **bottom lip trembles**
