MISSION- A Planner for a Scanner
Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to the Abandoned Ship and get the scanner.

ShadowCat was wandering around the Aqua base, half listening to other peoples' conversations. She was thinking about when a new mission would come up. Turning to sit on the couch, she listened to another member's conversation. "...so they want someone to go to the abandoned ship and recover the scanner.."they said. "Is it still open?" ShadowCat asked. "Sure sounds like it, after all, the abandoned ship is pretty hard get into." the member repiled. "Then I'll do it!" ShadowCat announced. "Ok," he shrugged."good luck getting the scanner."

ShadowCat biked to Slateport's beach. Upon coming, she set her AquaBike in the sand, and then pulled out three pokeballs. Out came Mudkip, Nincada, and Zigzagoon. She let them play around in the sand for a while, watching as Zigzagoon lied down in the sand for a moment. The other two seized their chance. Mudkip raced to where Zigzagoon lay and pinned it down. Nincada threw sand on Zigzagoon furiously. Soon Zigzagoon was buried except for its head, and Mudkip finally got off of it. Zigzagoon pulled itself out of the sand, and playfully tackled Mudkip. ShadowCat decided to recall her pokemon. Taking out two pokeballs, she recalled Zigzagoon and Nincada. "Ready to go?" she questioned Mudkip, who nodded. ShadowCat knew Mudkip was a strong swimmer. They walked along a small fishing pier, and at the end of it jumped off into the waves.

ShadowCat broke the surface, coughing and spitting out the salty ocean water. She cleared her eyes, and looked around for her mudkip. Staring in the great vast of ocean, she saw nothing but water. She started to panic, and looked around again. Suddenly she saw a tiny blue - and - orange head break the surface a few feet away from her. She tried to call out to it, but got a mouthful of water, so she swam toward it. She kicked out strongly, and quickly reached the pokemon. Now that she had Mudkip, she treaded and looked around at her surroundings. Behind her, she saw Slateport Beach a little ways away. Grabbing mudkip, she swam a little ways opposite the beach and surfaced again. She saw a large, gray object looming a little ways off. "that must be the ship," she said aloud, looking at Mudkip. The little water pokemon nodded. SInking beneath the waves, she looked around. A school of magikarp swam past her. She looked around, noticing a small group of pokemon near a reef. Squinting, she realized that they where wailmer!

"Perfect," she thought. " one of those pokemon could easily carry me to the ship- it would be worth the long battle," She swam upward, surfacing for a breath of air before diving down again. Swimming up to one, she softly headbutted it then swam away. The wailmer swam after her, ready for battle. "Mudkip, Go!" ShadowCat said, as the small pokemon leaped into battle. "Mudkip, use tackle," she commanded. Mudkip swam speedily towards the wailmer and ramed it. ShadowCat estimated it had done around fourteen damage. The Wailmer recoiled, then used rollout and Mudkip jumped to the side, but not quickly enough. It struck Mudkip a glancing blow. "Mudkip, Mud-slap!" ShadowCat called as best she could underwater. Mudkip picked up some sand from the ocean floor, hurling it at wailmer. ShadowCat swam to the surface for air, figuring the last move had dealt about twelve damage. Coming back down, she saw wailmer slaming into Mudkip with another rollout. "Mudkip, use water gun! she said, knowing it would only do half the damage. Wailmer returned with growl. "Mudkip, hang on!" ShadowCat said, throwing a pokeball at the wailmer. It shook once, twice- then opened up. ShadowCat groaned. Fortunately, the wailmer used growl again. ShadowCat threw another pokeball -once, twice, three times! Swimming down to get the pokeball, she picked it up and returned to the surface.

Surfacing, she pulled out another pokeball. "good work, Mudkip," she said while returning it to its pokeball. Then she let out wailmer. "do you know where the Abandoned Ship is?" she asked it. The wailmer nodded. "Can you take me there?" she said to it. It nodded again. ShadowCat climbed onto her newly caught Wailmer's back. Wailmer sped forward towards the advancing gray bulk of ship.

ShadowCat stepped onto the small, sandy beach in front of the ship. "Thank you Wailmer, but you might be needed more," she cautioned to her newly caught pokemon, returning it to its pokeball. She climbed up the stairs, carefully avoiding the holes that were scattered across the ship's deck. Noticing it would be impossible to enter the second door, she entered the first.

Coming into the room, she saw to cabin doors-one locked, the other busted open. Figuring that the scanner wouldn't be on the first floor, she wandered around until she found the first stairs, and walked down them.

The second floor was like the first: a few broken doors, others locked. There were a few people here and there, ShadowCat took care to avoid them- half of her pokemon were in no state to battle. She then exited up a second pair of stairs.

Looking around, she saw the entrance to the second door. "That might provide some clues," she thought. She was about to head through the door when she heard a cheery voice. "Are you looking for the scanner, too?" ShadowCat spun around. A little kid holding an inner tube was standing behind her. "Want to battle?" he asked. "By the way, my name's Calvin." "Ok," ShadowCat replied after a moment. "What's your name?" Calvin asked. "ShadowCat," she said. "Ok," Calvin shrugged. "Let's go with a double battle!"

"Go, Barboach and Goldeen!" Calvin yelled.

"Nincada, Wailmer, Go!" ShadowCat said.

"Nincada, fury swipes on Goldeen! Wailmer, attack with rollout on Barboach!" she yelled.

"Barboach, mud-slap! Goldeen, peck!" Calvin responded.

"Nincada, use fury swipes! Wailmer, whirlpool!" ShadowCat screeched with the excitement of the battle. She watched as the goldeen fell over.

"Alright! Two against one!" Shadow cheered at the idea of winning her first battle. "Barboach,Magnitude!" Calvin said through gritted teeth.

"Time to finish this up! Nincada, fury swipes! Wailmer, rollout!" she said, heart racing. ShadowCat cheered when she saw Barboach fall to the ground, defeated. Calvin walked up to her. "Good battle," he said, grinning. "Thanks," ShadowCat replied. "You put up quite a fight." Saying her good-byes to Calvin, she headed out the second door.

Looking around, she noticed steps on her left and a blocked passageway on the right. She decided to go up the stairs. Upon finding out there was nothing of importance in the room above, she headed back to where calvin was, and down the stairs. Looking around, she noticed that a door was unlocked. She headed into it. In there was water-possibly leading to somewhere new!

She quickly released wailmer. "I want you to take me with you down there," she told it, and hopped onto the pokemon's back. Diving under, they swam through a watery passageway. Coming through the ceiling, she surfaced in a whole new part of the ship.

Looking around, she figured there must be six cabins.There were no stairs. Two of the doors to the cabins where open, the rest locked. She figured the scanner must be in one of the two. She quickly recalled wailmer, and began to search the two rooms, but couldn't find anything. She was about to give up when something shiny caught her eye. She walked over and looked at it. On it read State Room 1 in faded lettering. It was a key!

She took the key and found room one. She stuck the key into the keyhole. It wouldn't come out, but the door opened. She searched the room quickly, and found another key. This one said room 6.

ShadowCat took the key and used it to open the door. She was about to search when her foot struck yet another key. "State Room 5," it read.
She stuck the key in and opened the door. There was a key sitting on the table, looking all in the world like it was begging to be found. ShadowCat went to Room two.

She was about to search for yet another key when she saw something shiny lying on the ground. She assumed it was another key, but her prediction proved to be false when she came near. The object was pretty old; it was covered in dust. She picked it up and brushed off the dust. She turned it over in her hands. There she saw writting. It was old and faded, but clear enough was the word "scanner." She smiled and began to exit the room. ShadowCat had found the scanner at last!

*sits down on the couch and waits for everyone to wake up*

*turns to watch tv*
At least there's still that. wonder if there's anything to drink.
*starts looking around for coke*

Dark yawns gets up then stretches. He shuts off the TV.
Beats me.
Dark grabs Ichigo's pokeball and heads outside.

*Ikarizu walks out from the back of the HQ and spots Hunter*
Ike: OMG! Hunter! Its been forever!!

Ike: How ya been this past year?
*is fully awake now*

*walks in and sees an old face*
