Xavier slowly nodded in agreement. "Indeed.." he thought for a few moments as he lightly twirled a piece of his hair around one of his fingers, his earrings jingling as he did so. "So tell me then, Shade, what's the little one's name?" he asked while turning his gaze to look at him curiously. I wonder..is the girl nothing more than a pet to this man? he thought with slight amusement.

"We call her Hope. She doesn't seem to remember much about herself." Shade chuckles a little. "A good name to have though, don't you think?" He looks at Xavier questioningly.

Athilea nods slightly, "Yes, I can still hear them. They haven't been lost to me." She smiles thinking it's good that she will be able to find her way around with no more assistance then usual. "How long does the boat normally take? And are there any signals that should be made?"

Xavier rolled the name around his mind for a bit, blinking at how well it fit her. "Hmm..indeed, but perhaps you should have called her 'Fluffly' instead, that also would fit her rather well." he teased lightly as he leaned against a nearby wall while fiddling with some of his many neclaces. "After all, she's always following and clinging to you, and her personality is rather light." he said while nodding in agreement with himself.

Xavier looked at Shade for a few moments, trying hard to hold back his laughter. "pfft.." he couldn't help but burst into his warm, boisterous laughter. "Oh come now, I was only playing." he said while laughing. "But my dear man, if only you could see the look on your face!" he said as he laughed, unable to control himself.
(It's fine, if you're that tired you should rest: I have to go to work in a bit, so I won't be posting again until later, unless you're on now for a few minutes..)

Xavier managed to control his laughter as he looked at Shade again, the corners of his mouth twitching into a wide grin. "Oh, but you're smiling." he said as he reached foreward to lightly poke Shade's forhead. "What isn't funny about it?" he asked while blinking and his grin quickly dissappearing, making him seem to be serious now.

"I see." he said as he lightly brushed some hair away from his face. He heard a soft noise, causing him to blink and look down at Hope as she stirred a bit.
Hope moved a bit before opening her eyes half-way, staring dazedly upwards at the two standing up. She blinked slowly as she continued to stare up, still mostly asleep.

Another nod. She brushes some lose strands of hair out of her face and stares over the water. Still she was afraid of how she would manage without the demons, but perhaps it was for the best. Not all demons were managable near others. Some had even attacked her. Who was she to ask these people, who had run from the creatures, to trust in her magic.
